  • PPE rule I learnt from engineering, if you won’t drink or eat the product - wear appropriate gloves. If you’re not using the product as your eye drop - wear protective googles. If you won’t listen to the machine as music in full volume - wear ear protection. If you won’t use the product as perfume - wear a suitable mask.

    • @@PanTheOrganizer My tip for washing a vehicle is to use the 'two bucket' method. Fill one bucket with a cleaning solution and the second one with just straight water and nothing else. Saturate your cleaning cloth with the soap solution from the first bucket and apply it to the vehicle, then when it's dirty rinse it in the second bucket that contains only water and squeeze out the cleaning solution that has become saturated with dirt and grime from the vehicle. Then dunk the cleaning cloth back into the bucket with the cleaning solution and continue. With this 'two bucket' method the cleaning solution doesn't get fouled with dirt as much as it would if you only used one bucket. This method is especially good for any very dirty cleaning job, not just for washing vehicles.

I've learned SO much from your videos that I apply them to my new vehicle purchase. Everything I've done in the past was totally wrong, but I've changed my car detailing ways since subscribing to your channel. I've invested in alot of products suggested by you...foam cannon, micro fiber towels, detail sprays and more. I literally used a foam cannon for the first time today using the Turtle was wash and it was amazing. Thank you for putting out these videos because I can assure you that those that listen, learn alot...as I have. My neighbors actually were in awe on how my car looked today using the products that YOU suggest. I'd love to share a photo of my car if you'd provide me with a way to do that. Cheers to your success in both the car detailing market as well as this channel. Big fan here! I'm considering starting my own detailing biz on the side to generate more income. Thanks again Pan. (this tip also ties in with using the minimum product required)....also one should pay attention to the front and the back of cars as they are the dirtiest parts of the bodywork - the front from incoming pollutants and the back from the turbulence of passing air.....finally i also saw a video where magic eraser/scour pad was used on external glass surfaces to remove bug sap and water spotting

  • Just want to point out that dust-masks won’t really protect you against fumes (which are vapor molecules). Vapor goes right through dust masks, which are meant for filtering particulate matter. If you’re dealing with nasty vapors, a cartridge respirator for chemical-filtration, and/or good ventilation exhaust fans for the area are your best bets. Love your videos!

  • Love your videos Pan. I'm new to car detailing and have always enjoyed washing my cars (the prep starts a few days before with checking the weather and letting my wife/kids know ! - takes a few hours to vacuum and wash - very soothing) Anyway, my top-tip is I start with cleaning the windows and windscreen (front and rear) once I have the shampoo on the car. The windows are key as I don't want any little bits of dust/dirt from the top of the body onto the windows. I then rinse my mitt and clean the roof and work my way down to the bonnet and door panels. I always clean my wheels first then apply shampoo :-) Great tip also is to use separate mitts for upper and lower body. Thanks Pan and love all the comments :-)

  • Hi Pan, great video, for those just starting and reminding the pros. My hack, is I hate seeing people that dress their tires and their bottom of the tire never gets the dressing. My hack, if I'm not taken into the wheels off or putting on the quick jack, I put a 1"x6" board under each tire, indented to allow me to properly clean and dress the tire. You and your family enjoy the holiday season.

I’ve personally found that my wash bucket is a great deal cleaner when I’m done washing. I’ve even gone back to one bucket washes because of this (do wheels last with same bucket) as a time saving method and have seen no I’ll effects as a result.

      @roadfert@roadfert2 жыл бұрын
    • @@roadfert Here's a suggestion. I do what you do; however I only use a wash bucket to store my wash mitt's prior to me using them. I have I think 8 mitt's that I pull out of the bucket one at a time and wash one section of the car say the hood, then set that mitt aside and grab another to wash another section. That way you're never dealing with dirt in the bucket.

  • Great video thanks Pan. My top tip to add to yours is use an in-line water filter when rinsing the car, especially in a hard-water area, then there is no need to touch the car's paint after washing it. If I have the time, I then use a blower to blast-out any trapped water which would otherwise drip for hours or stay trapped in recesses and channels. The filter I have been using for many years can be re-filled (by me) with new resin beads, usually once a year, and looks a bit like a large fire extinguisher.

  • I have to disagree with you concerning always using a PH neutral soap. When a car is driven in the rain it picks up chemicals from the roadway, and these will not be washed off with PH neutral soap. It is then that I use Purple Power to wash the car. Yes, I understand that this will strip off whatever synthetic "wax" I might have used like Turtle Wax, but it is easy enough to recoat the vehicle. For normal washing for a car that has not been driven on the highway when it is raining, I use a PH neutral soap.

    @marvinisrael1671@marvinisrael16712 жыл бұрын
    • When it comes to cars that are protected via ceramic/graphene coated, the PH neutral soaps are (in my opinion) more than enough. In all other car paint protectants, I'd agree with you.

      @JOSEPHwHAN@JOSEPHwHAN2 жыл бұрын
    • Alkaline shampoos are good once in a while, especially during winter months, as they can help remove road grime, road salts, and buildup of dirt a bit better, but I still wouldn't recommend using something like Purple Power for every single maintenance wash as that's too harsh and will dull the finish if used too often. For people who wash their cars like me twice weekly, all you need is a good pH neutral shampoo. Ceramic coated cars make wonders of keeping cars cleaner for longer.

When I clicked on the links of the products you recommend, it is easy to get lost in abundance of them and by prices. I let car dealer wash the car after service, however a couple of years ago I stopped going to them and do maintenance myself. It means I haven't washed my car for a long time. I want to start washing my car again however I live in the apartment. I will get necessary stuff from your recommended list and I also recently received a portable pressure washer. • Pan I'm proud to say that I have learned from the best (you). One thing I realize I wasn't making was to use a drying aid, I will implement that on my washing routine Pan, you should make a video about how to properly clean and detail a wrapped car I haven't seen a lot of information about it now that I wrapped one of my cars. Best wishes

And I liked the tip's related to degreasing tyres etc. I have to admit I was guilty of circular motion Karate kid influence wax on wax off. I appreciate the help and advice. Very best regards Gordon 😊🙏👍👌
