  • As a ND fan I am at least happy that we matched up well up front Kelly has made a big improvement there. Next season will be interesting because we’ve got 2 really talented QB’s in Drew Pyne and Tyler Buchner battling it out, both a very accurate passers with quick releases and running ability. Pyne is undersized at 5’11 while Buchner is 6’2. Buchner also has the stronger arm. Either way it should be an improvement over Ian Book in terms of throwing ability and big play potential. The WR room should be much improved we will be much more talented and have legit speed. Lawrence Keys III has speed and Braden Lenzy has legit elite speed. We will also have talented receivers such as Kevin Austin coming back and hopefully Jordan Johnson. Joe Wilkins will be thrown in the mix too. Overall the WR corps has the potential to be explosive. We have the potential to have both Tremble and Mayer back at Tight End which will be a scary duo. There shouldn’t be a shortage of guys to throw to. In the running back room we are still loaded we will have all 3 RB’s back Williams and Tyree will be a scary 1-2 punch with Tyree also bringing elite speed. The Oline will reload as always with possibly Banks, Patterson and Lugg returning, with Correll also have some games under his belt, not mention the talent they had underneath the starting 5 and the excellent class of Offensive Line recruits they are bringing in. They should be just fine up front. Defensively there are still pieces there, Hamilton will be back, and there will be most of the secondary back. They should improve from this year as a unit. At LB we will be losing Koromoah but I’m excited to see Jack Kiser, Bo Bauer, Jack Lamb, Marist Liufau, and Shayne Simon play this should still be a very good LB corps possibly even better than this year. We still will have Foskey and Ademilola on the edge with some new guys getting some action will be interesting to watch. Interior Dline will be a mystery we’re losing Hinish and Tagovailoa-Amosa, but will have Jayson Ademilola and Rylie Mills back. Should be interesting to see who surprises us. Special teams wise it should be better with Doerer gone along with his inconsistent kicking. We’re bringing in the #1 kicker in the country in Josh Bryan and we will have punter Jay Bramblett returning so it should also be an improved group. ND has the potential to be explosive next season and have an even better team than this years squad I’m looking forward to the future which is something I haven’t felt yet as an ND fan

FLA didn't belong in the CFP because they had 3 losses, not because they lost to OK (FLA didn't have their top 4 receivers vs OK >> FLA is a passing team plus Trask didn't play in the 2nd half). OK had 2 losses so they didn't belong, but I wouldn't say OK is mediocre. OK won their last 7 games, including bowl. In a normal year since they had a new/freshman QB, OK might have lost maybe 1 game (vs IA St). The B12 was undefeated in bowl games at 5-0, including the Cotton, Fiesta, & Liberty bowls.
