Wolves come in rural areas to find food . Winter season is very harsh and difficult to find wild prea . For this reason settlements turned into wolves target .
Dogs are the first barrier which can stop them or end like their lunch .
There are few scenarios , which depending by wolves numbers, how they insist , depending by dog size , combat instincts & bravery of them.
This video is an alert for this cold season .
There are only 10 % of all situations recorded by surveillance Cameras when dog face off against wolves attack .

Пришел к такому выводу, что толковый хозяин, должен понимать несколько вещей: 1. Высокий надёжный забор вокруг всего двора и хозяйства 2. Алабаев, канглов должно быть во дворе минимум 4 шт( понимаю, что это накладно и их ещё нужно прокормить), и не на цепи.

I’ve been dealing with dogs since 11-12 years old and I’ve taught myself to know and read a dog’s tail it’ll definitely tell you how the dog is tail under is submissive and a tail up shows omega or dominant.
Those people believe that the dogs have one less body part for wolves to attack. I don't know if that really help the dogs but I do notice that the Alabai dogs without tails walk or run unnaturally. Perhaps they lost their balance or coordination without a tail.
Apparently all shepherd dog owners are very, very heavy sleepers. there may be a battle in your yard even your dogs being killed and eaten. but his sleep is heavy. so heavy that it does not allow them to go out to help their dogs. impotence, pity and courage. It's what they do to me.
This looks like a worksite so owner is gone for the evening with chained guard dogs, knowing there are wolves in the area.

Its amazing deduction I link this kinds of videos hope the guard dogs and livestock keep safe. Wolves are formidable when they work together but equally matched number of experienced guard dogs can create a good counter-balance and fend them off successfully.
The dog owner is stupid to leave their dogs chained like that having hard time protecting them selves from the wolves.

Can never understand the idiots that chain their dogs outside when they know there are packs of marauding wolves around. Especially the poor dogs left alone-it's like a fast food dinner. Idiots. At least get a few big LGDs and keep them together

@@guillian6899 The very first dog that was solo, white, managed to defend against the wolves, and was not chained. Probably a Kangal, very common guard dog breed. Otherwise could be another alabai. Very hard to tell though.

I don't think it's said online anywhere because it's obvious to farmers that having a _bigger_ wolf pack on your farm to defend against other wolves is the best method.

3:12 oh yes as i mentioned in my other comment, the winter is very very cold in that region so its not meat heaven for wolves and other predators. Most wolves drops in weight a lot and become skinny, when they are very very hungry they can come down to the villages. A dog like a kangal is well take care so its obvious a fitt kangal will over come 2 or 3 weight drained, tired wolves. It could be a very different story when a kangal face a big fitt 80 - 90 kg wolf.
The point of livestock guardian dogs isn't to kill the wolf (all the time) but to prevent it from getting on your territory in the first place. Make it appear not worth the risk to invade your land, have more dogs than wolves (like 10+ alabais).
Wolves are 10x MORE dangerous when they're hungry and desperate... Winter time, actually makes it easier for them to hunt though.. allot harder for deer/moose/caribou or whatever else to run away through the deep snow. They run out of energy allot quicker than a group of wolves will. There's not a whole lot for deer,moose & whatnot to eat during winter and the food they DO get, they travel and burn more energy working for it.. The coys & (rare) wolves in my area are always hefty during the winter. Only time I see skinny, desperate ones are the solo one's who have been kicked out of their pack or just went on their own for some reason & don't have the ability to chase down a fresh meal on their own.. As far as dog vs wolf, I don't care how big any dog is lol if it's more than one wolf and they REALLY want the dog, they're gonna kill the dog.. dog has 0 chance ! If it's a solo young, or sick/injured wolf than sure, any decent dog could handle it. I personally think allot of stories of dogs killing wolves, were actually just big coyotes the dog owner "thought" was a wolf..

There should be a remote control button to release the chained guard dogs so they can fight more easily, the chains' locks should be remote controlled and can be released by owner safely whilst inside the house. This is good use of technology and not complicated also to make, I hope someone invents this
Why not just go out & help the dogs fight....the purpose of guard dogs is to guard not just be food.
@@alwaysmakinglyrics7340 that would be possible if there are equal number of humans for each wolf, but a single human unequipped would potentially also be a target. Once they've gotten a hold on you on opposite sides, they will start pulling on each end and tearing flesh.. Big shepherd dogs that know how to deal with wolves like the famous Kangal shepherd dog can fend them off effectively when acting as a pact, provided the numbers are equal or more than the wolves and the dogs are experienced enough. The chains however should not act as a handicap otherwise the wolves quickly get an advantage. This is where automatic chain release via remote comes in handy when the camera detects wolf entry in the area, in case the humans are deep sleepers, which is usually the case in cold terrain.

So if there are 2 dogs plus me it increases the odds of survival. 1 person with a weapon like a sword or long solid staff can easily defend himself against better than 1 dog against multiple wolves. If I swing and cut 2 or 3 wolves that's 2 or 3 wolves compared to a dog who would only be able to successfully fight off 1 at best 2 wolves but never 3 . My helping my dogs is adding to the numbers. The whole point is about numbers. A human with a weapon is automatically double the numbers against wolves. 2 dogs & 1 human with a weapon can easily fight 4 or 5 wolves. And honestly even if it were more than 5 wolves I would still help my 2 dogs . Being a target is better than being a coward.

Wolves are more cunning than you make them to be. Once they pin you down, that hand with the sword will quickly go limp from the damage they will inflict. Though you're welcome to try if you want ofcourse, but do take all the necessary precaution.
I've never encountered wild wolves, and I do know they're cunning. They are also predators trying to avoid full on fights they're trying to avoid injury. Yes if I were by myself without the dogs then my chances of being pinned would be greater but a strike with a good blade will injure a wolf faster than it could reach me. This isn't about teaching the wolves this is not a dinner plate. Predators go for easy prey. By fighting back this decreases the chances of the wolves coming back. If the wolves see their chances of success is to small to risk injury they will find easier prey. As you said they're cunning so they access their odds. They know injury decrease their chances of survival. They know the area is no longer easy prey. If my dogs are eaten I'm not thinking oh I'll just sit in the house get more for the wolves to come back to eat as well because the wolves see the area has easy prey.

Dogs aren't much help if they're chained.. they're just an easy target & can't even run away to save themselves.. I've had plenty of dogs to protect livestock & KNEW , if they're barking & screaming at night, there's a threat somewhere.. get up and go look !! Problem is, too many ppl don't train their dogs so they just bark all day for no reason. The owners think the barking alone will keep predators away lol. Allot of times it will ! But, when it's hungry wolves desperate for a meal or a bear, barking dog's just tells them where to go..

Come on, not another one of these videos. One wolf or the pack could take out the dogs. They are use to fighting with bears, cougars, tigers, lynxes, bobcats and jaguars at times. The wolves are not scared of any animal beside humans. That is why they are acting strange attacking like that.
