The perfect car cannot possibly exist, there are simply too many factors at play, right? Well, maybe not. The F90 generation of the BMW M5 has a lot to offer and in this video, I justify why I think it is the perfect car!

Yea especially this model of the F90 generation which is the LCI that started in 2021. The best looking bmw of all time in my opinion. Unfortunately the new design does not look very good.

I have the M5 Competition, F90 and it is an amazing vehicle. I have a fully loaded every option minus the night vision. It is an amazing vehicle that you can blend into traffic easily or smoke that traffic easily. It has options of comfort to Sport Plus/Track options. Mine is the Azurite Black and Piano black interior - it's a BMW Individual package with the display keypad as it was imported from Canada and no governor so it really produces a lot of smilies per gallon!!!

@@abba4198 hey, I never thought it would be true too for my age. But if you want something you usually have to work hard and it’ll take time. So you never know!!! Plus when you get to where you want or an item we usually as people tend to want the newest, next greatest toy!
@@_DEIVATCHAVAN I work in HR, pre-hire on the Talent Acquisition side and not post hire or employee relations. I started out as an agency recruiter and have steadily made more and worked my way up. It’s a very stressful field but well worth it. If you like money or have a passion for helping people and even better if you have both. I’ve been doing this close to 10 years. I’m really thankful I can get what I wanted. But it’s not cheap… new battery can run $1700 USD. New brakes on all non ceramic can be 8-10k. You have to treat it like a super car. So glad I didn’t get the ceramic brakes those are 16-18k pre labor cost. Some people might crap on me saying it’s a “super car”. But the cost to maintain is high, it can compete with high end vehicles. Maintenance is critical!!! I learned from when I owned a regular e46 3 series and found out delayed maintenance makes it worse. Dominoes. Either need a hook up like a master mechanic or only the dealer works on it. You save nothing by taking it to a shop that says sure we can but has not enough experience. Just on my old 3 it cost more trying to save and cut a few corners. Hope that helps!!! Recruiting is something you either will love or hate. If you have sales many agencies will train on the recruitment. But we usually get laid off first but hired back first. Sometimes I spent 80+ hours working. Now I work 45-50 hours and have a much healthier work life balance!
I sure think so. I've had mine for almost 3 years, drove it regularly, maintained it properly, had no reliability issues, and it STILL revs my heart everytime I drive it!

I love mine so much too. It's chill when you want it to be, and a monster when you don't. I like how only car people notice it, and they are very enthusiastic when they see it. Dude in a Skyline gave me the nod.

Nice review! Test drove pre-lci last night and I loved the personality. Plenty of power and a blast to drive but comfortable enough for a road trip. Such a sleeper. Gotta try lci now!

A few things that I noticed that need correcting. When you're talking about "drive modes" the m5 really doesn't have preset drive modes, it has M modes which affect the behavior of the dash, infotainment screen and drivers assistance features. Everything else is controlled through the setup menu where you can individually select how you want your engine transmission steering suspension and traction control and you can preprogram 2 of your own presets to the m buttons on steering wheel. Also when you mentioned the max MSRP, it's quite easy to break 160 on the car and the sky is the limit when it comes to BMW and their individual program.
I got a roadster i8 as my DD, but the m5 has been very compelling to me lately 😮 good video

I have 2022 540i.. and it’s amazing pretty much same car for the interior part but m5 comp is just on another level 🤤. Hopefully will own one one day. Nice video!

It is the best car in my opinion. I love tuned 540 and 550s as well. All producing anywhere from 450 - 600 hp and doing 0-60 in mid 3 seconds. B58 is a monster engine. Love it!
Tuning is a great way to unlock some crazy power! Imagine a tuned M5 🫠
and a trash looking tesla eat it... its sad to say but the combustion era is over.

Very nice review! I have a '21 BMW M5 and it's a great car. The only issue I have with the car is that BMW should have put wider fenders on both front and rear to accommodate the larger tires. I have rocks chips (road rash) on the rocker panel behind the front wheels due to the larger and sticky tires (not happy at all). I had my entire front end of the car installed with XPEL PPF but didn't do the sides of the car. Note: I never had the issue with my M550; however, that car has narrower tires.
That’s an interesting point, man that’s rough….I know that’s also a problem on some Porsche’s that’s why you see the clear bra only on the rear fenders sometimes.

@@mistermu8 I originally lease my car with the intent of returning it depending on the next Gen M5. Now, that the next M5 will be a hybrid; I decided to buy out my lease and hold on to my car . BMW does not have a good reputation with new technology. For example, BMW's first twin turbo V8 (2010 550i) was terrible with burning oil, bad turbo coolant lines and other issues. I will wait until they work out the bugs on the new hybrid system.

It’s a good review thanks , although BMW hasn’t changed the engine in 10 yrs just some software ware tweaks that falls a bit short and they do drive heavy and is noticeable but overall a nice Sadan for open hwy . cruising. I’ve driven M5s for several years before switching to a 992 Turbo S .
That 992 Turbo S is a savagely fast car when it wants to be. Excellent choice!
It'a my dream car since it has been in existence, just frightened that when I'll be able to buy one and it would be electrified or hybridised.
I know the feeling…the same is happening with Porsche. I read today that the Cayman and Boxster will be only electric soon…so buying a GT4 brand new became impossible

I’m a dodge ram guy. Never been a fan of any cars like BMW, Mercedes and stuff like that. But holy fk is that car absolutely beautiful looking, sounding and unbelievably fast.
I was never much of a BMW fan myself, but yea, this M5 changed things for me

Those are the only seats available with the M5 unless you go for the M5 CS model. You cannot get the carbon buckets on a standard M5 or M5 Comp.

I live in an area of Florida where exotics are everywhere and will say I get looks all the time while driving my baby M5cp, a 2018 F80 M3CP in anthracite black with brown full leather interior. Last but not least zero to 60, less than 4 sec.

Got the 540d XDrive Sedan a while ago. Absolutely love it. BMWs are the best in my opinion. I literally studied and worked hard so that I could own a 5 Series someday, and still have enough money to daily-drive it without going broke. Got mine blacked out, and dayum, I fawn over it everytime I'm anywhere near it lmao. I'd rank BMW at 1st place. Followed by Audi, Porsche, Rovers, Jaguar, then maybe Mercedes, but even then I'd think about a Lexus.

This is the best looking BMW of all time in in my opinion. This and the M340i (not the M3) are some of the best looking cars in the lineup ever. I really hope this design language carriers over to the other cars. The images for the new 5 series/M5 are out and I am not a huge fan of it. At least the 3 series won't be getting a new design till a few years.

Most of my cars have been bmw and my last one was the 2016 M5 which was to me the nearest to perfect,this newer generation is a monster too but i wished they designed it more aggressive looking to match that monster engine.
I kinda like that it doesn’t stand out too much, makes it more of a surprise when you walk away from super cars at a set of lights

Drove one last weekend. Totally inlove! While the power comparison is nearly identical, the E63 S I prefer to be inside of, but the M5 looks way better! E63 S also sounds way better

Having driven both this and the E63S, I opted for the AMG cause the slight edge in performance the M5C gives over the E63S is something we'll never experience unless on track, but the advantages the E63S offers can be readily enjoyed.
I love the E63S, great car. That’s a tough call, I feel they are so close in everyday use it almost comes down to personal preference
It is 10 seconds faster than then e63s on the Nurburgring which is a very big difference.
@@ravic1754 thats why the original commenter said they went with the e63s because although the m5c is faster, they didn’t need all the performance for street driving. they opted for the e63s because all the other available options besides speed outweighed the m5c :D
@Ravi C because you take the nürburgring everyday work everyday? No one will ever push either of the cars to their limits like that unless you track them.
@@dudove1 I mean if you are spending around 150K on a car with a competition package which was designed for the track, it seems pretty stupid not to. Even if someone doesn't track often, its still a nice thing to know that the car can smoke an e63s even if they were to track it.

It actually has more power, but is slower from 0-60….
I felt like i was at showroom, and you're giving me a walkaorund experience of the car. Massive respect for the way you reviewed it. Also let me add, if you were the salesman and you' re presenting to me, i would have bought the car. Even if i couldnt afford it right now, but it gives me a feel of what it would be and looks like i have something to be excited about as a goal.

100% you can. Just because it is a fast car, doesn't mean you have to drive it fast. Enjoy it the way you want to enjoy it!
There are no bucket seats on the M5. Also, the fully loaded car comes with Bowers & Wilkins Sound system, Ivory Tartufo seats, and all the m performance packages which are only by order and not available on the website. Exhaust, carbon fiber mirror caps, grille, rear diffuser, rear m performance spoiler, side skirts, etc... Not to mention carbon ceramic brakes.

This car was Alvite grey metallic, beautiful color. Almost pearlescent in the sun!
FYU ... with lot of highway you can get 600miles/tank (got that from bit outside Reno to Yellowstone. (75L / 19.8 gallons), but have averaged 19.1 mpg over 35,000 miles now.

You summed it up perfectly. There are other cars that may be faster but none is as good all around. Like a Tesla Plaid is faster, but it has an econobox interior, crap build quality, and an obsolete design.
I am not a big fan of Tesla TBH...

I traded my junk in the shop once a month M3 comp and bought a beautiful Lexus LC 500 coupe and love it, people always look at my car like wow , never in the BMW plastic junk 😂 bought a RAM TRX 702 hp supercharged 6.2 litre hellcat to take care of all sport cars that think the have something 😂

for people who track it. yes. not for the faint of heard when you need to say.... replace pads and rotors. ($18k+ if you're curious @ 40-50k miles).

I think it all depends on what you want in a car, but as such a good all arounder, I'd still probably say yes
I would opt for x5m
lets also keep in mind the fact that BMW MASSIVELY under-numbers their cars. on paper the M5 does 627HP, but throw it on a dyno and I guarantee you'll get 650+HP output. In the right dyno conditions, I've seen some push past 670HP stock. They really went all out with this car
That seems to be a trend actually, I feel like a lot of brands are underselling their performance. Porsche seems to do so quite often.

@@ke9938 yes but equipment for camping, bikes, some big stuff do not :) and I personally prefer touring 5 series than X5, it's better in all aspects except 4cm less clearance. Now I own 535D F10, and my next car will be I7 or 550D F91 :))

Maybe some constructive feedback, but I found the format of the video pretty boring. It's mostly just a couple extended shots of you sitting in the cabin, not really showing any features, but going on a monologue about the features. I started losing interest pretty quickly. Get more shots of the features you're talking about! Get more B-Roll! You're a very clear communicator but this is a video, people want to be shown the interesting stuff.
Appreciate the feedback, I tried to incorporate more B-roll especially in the recent videos, partly because you aren't the first person to bring this up, but also because I found them boring too lol

In the uk if you buy a 3yr old one your be gutting it for half the price from when it was new,dont buy it new unless your orepared for 50k in depreciation
They depreciate pretty heavily in the states too, but idk about half off in 3 years
Amazing car. I must say gesture control gimmicky as hell lol. Especially with voice control and having controls on the steering wheel

The Audi RS6 is more practical and interesting. The next M5 should be a major step up though.

627 EU horses = 617 US horses. the CS in EU horses has 635hp
