The Moment USAIN BOLT Became the UNDISPUTED G.O.A.T

2020 ж. 27 Нау.

For almost a decade, Usain Bolt was one of the most popular sporting figures in the world. In 2008, Bolt broke his first world record in the 100 meters during the Olympics, and soon after, he broke the 200 meter world record with a time of 19.30 seconds. The following year, Bolt struck again by breaking his own 100 and 200 meter world records (9.58 seconds and 19.19 seconds respectively). In just 2 short years, Bolt rewrote the record books, however his career was far from over.
Following this early success, Bolt remained the best sprinter in the world for close to a decade, but which moment made Usain Bolt the absolute G.O.A.T (Greatest of All Time)?
In this video, we'll break down our pick for the moment that made Usain Bolt the undisputed GOAT of sprinting.

    • Yeah but why did he peak so early and never get close to his own records again SET 8 years earlier. He peaked at 23. That is strange to me. Most sprinters dont peak until 28 to 32. He set world records in 2009 aged 23 and that was it. Just seems very strange.

  • For me it was the 2012 london 100m final when he beat the most loaded field ever!!!

    @sliferxxxx@sliferxxxx4 жыл бұрын
    • That was an insane field. The 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th fastest people OF ALL TIME were in the same race. The other three sprinter's had PBs of 9.82, 9.86 & 9.91. The SLOWEST athlete in the field had a PB of 9.91 and that PB he had just run in the Semi so it's not like it was a 9.91 from years ago.

I believe it's from the Commonwealth Games when Bolt made friends with De Grasse and said something like he was the real deal and once he retires everyone needs to be paying full attention to him. There were even some heats that event where both Bolt and De Grasse crossed the line looking at eachother with massive smiles because they were far enough ahead of the rest of the racers they could just enjoy it. • We all know he was fast was and how many races he won but something that really impressed me. He was being interviewed at the Olympics. Behind him at a distance you could see 3 athletes stepping up on the podium to receive their medals. The US athlete bent over and they placed the medal around his neck then stood up straight for the playing of the Star Spangled Banner. The moment the anthem started to play he told the person interviewing him please excuse me I much respect the playing of the US national anthem. He turned and faced the American flag with his hand on his heart. Remember Bolt is Jamaican. Then I think about American Professional Athletes who makes tens of millions a year that won’t honor their flag and anthem yet a man from another country does. Usain Bolt proved he’s way more than a great athlete he’s a man that has respect and character . I’ve been to Jamaica many times in my life and I love the people. It’s a very poor country and the people have little. What I’ve learned in my visits is they’re priorities aren’t material like it is for so many in the US. Things we as Americans totally take for granted are rare and hard to come by for most Jamaicans. Many homes no electricity. Water has to be carried from a public hydrant sometimes blocks away and carried by hand. Dirt floors in very small homes with many sharing it. Many are happy just to have some food and decent health. Many so called oppressed American citizens are very wealthy by Jamaican standards. Americans are spoiled. I’ve always said every young American should have to visit a 3rd world country and see just how lucky they are to have what they have. Look how happy Usain is to be blessed with such a talent. No big ego just a man loving life. Watch the true movie Cool Runnings about the Jamaican Bobsled team with John Candy. It does a great job of showing how Jamaican people are. Great movie. Yes , I know like many countries they have mean people too. You have to smart about where you go.
