Its a funeral for the Queen, the hand holding was out of place. The focus is the Queen, her last appearance. Give her the respect.

I agree that the holding of hands during a funeral procession is not only odd, but distinctly inappropriate. It also conveys the sort of message that says we are not fully on board with this ritual and thereby choose to distance ourselves from it to some degree.

Im sorry, WHAT?! lol holding hands does not mean that, it is a sign of support. My boyfriend has really bad anxiety before a match, we always walk down to the courts together, holding hands, to help calm him down a bit. Whenever he sees me starting to have an anxiety attack the first thing he reaches for is my hand, it usually helps me calm a bit as well. For a lot of people touch is their love and support language.

I love how William, when they were just coming out of the gate for the walk about raises his hand to point, but it almost looks like he’s also keeping Meghan in check. People don't seem to understand that this is historical. Something that has been done for hundreds of years. This is just one event of many that have occurred this past week to honor the Queen. They have rehearsed all of this for years. Then Harry and TW have to come along and make it about them. It's disgusting. When I saw them holding hands as they were walking away in the procession I too was disgusted. Couldn’t they just NOT hold hands for a few minutes please. It certainly drew all of the attention to them didn’t it? Did anyone else notice that there was no more hand holding in those processions after that? Someone obviously told them to give it a bloody rest! Also I’ve worked out that the whole hand-holding thing is their TRADEMARK. They wanted a point of difference in the family & that was it. BUT has anyone noticed, since the Queen’s passing, that William is now ALWAYS touching Catherine in public? He is always guiding or protecting her with his hand on her back but I also see it as a genuine, gentle show of real affection between them so actually William & Catherine have totally GAZUMPED the Harkles with their ‘trademark’ hand holding which is actually so annoying to me now that it makes me sick, it’s so fake 🤮 Also I think a lot of that is because her heels are too high & she’s scared she’s going to fall off them 😂 😂 She’s getting a bit too old to be wearing those high heels 👠 anyway. The other thing that cracked me up laughing 😂 was after the foursome walkabout to look at the flowers was over they all went back to the car. William & Catherine each went to their sides of the car & just jumped in. Harry was about to do the same but he must have got ‘the look’ from his wife & he nearly fell over himself running around to her side to open the door before she got there, then close it for her then he had to run back to his side & get in before they all took off. Again that woman held everyone up because her puppy was being a naughty boy & not doing what he is trained to do. I bet he got punished that night as well. I mean really, who the f does she really think she is? If it’s ok for the Prince & Princess of Wales to bounce back & jump in the car ON THEIR OWN then why can’t she open & close her own door? Is her name Hyacinth Bucket (pronounced Bouquet) & is Harry no-balls her Richard? If you remember the series Richard had to open & close the car door for Hyacinth every time & he was a brow-beaten husband who wasn’t allowed to speak or have an opinion. When did she criticize her? She described the way she walks and where she looks. Everyone behaves differently and I expect this of Megan considering how much she hates the royal family and all the nasty accusations she’s made about them over the years knowing they’re not allowed to respond. Re the no saluting, in the Australian services you are not to salute when out of uniform. I believe this to be the same in the UK. Even servicemen in uniform are not considered in full uniform once the hat is removed. This is why hats are left at the entrance to the mess hall so no saluting is required inside. It is so ingrained that if a serving member enters the mess with a hat on, a bell is rung and the offender has to buy drinks for everyone in the mess. I think they were correct to bow their heads in respect. I'm not a royalist but give the Queens family a break, it's hard enough going through the mourning process without all and sundry scrutinising every move they make. This is a solemn occasion so protocol, custom, tradition and manners must comply in respect to the Queen. That's what the other family member were doing in expressing their love and high regards for her.

This WAS NOT A FAMILY FUNERAL it was a Ceremony of Remembrance for an Internationally beloved Head of State of 14 countries, that's no domestic matter. . The Protocol is there for a reason, to fully honour the person being remembered and so that the family and PARTICULAR the Armed Forces to whom they are closely connected can demonstrate their regard publicly and in a way that will not compromise the dignity of their positions. The Military, like the Monarchy is based on protocol's - everybody has them - acceptable forms of behaviour within a given set of circumstances. These would all have been discussed and agreed before the ceremony. This is why their sudden decision to hold hands when nobody else was - was bizarre and attention seeking. They are no longer working members of the Royal family, fine, if the ceremonial occasions are too much for Henry he could have stayed away and just attended the funeral on the 19th instead but no, he went and behaved like an embarrassing middle-aged teenager, and if you think that's ok in those circumstances that says far more about your ignorance than our 'crap'.

Me too! And I agree, I always thought what is wrong with these two. It is so unprofessional and immature. They can't go anywhere for any engagement without clinging all over each other.
