When he said Meghan's situation was different because Kate (like Camilla and others who married into the royal family) was accustomed to such intrusions, he was entirely wrong. There is a mountain of footage of Kate (and others) being hounded by the press with no security or protection. Kate was a young girl thrown into the media spotlight. Meghan was mid-30s and media coverage and celebrity was what she lived for. Why else would she have taken part in the suitcase game show?

Because Harry wasn’t receiving money to actually be able to afford much of anything. After Harry proposed Charles told him there wasn’t money in the budget for Meghan.. he claimed out of the 60 million dollars they’d get per year that there wasn’t money for security and clothes… so Meghan had to pay for everything for herself, down to her wedding dress, flowers, wedding cake, etc. the BRF covered security costs. William and Charles didn’t even want Harry releasing a statement about the abuse she was experiencing because they claimed it made them look bad…

When they got engaged Meghan had security and after they married she also got huge clothing allowances, security etc. Anyone who dates Royalty doesn't receive security/protection. It was one of the main criticisms as any footage they used were stock footage and some like the South African trip were approved by them. Even the Toronto pap was a stock photo. In the UK they were never chased or stalked, all photo ops were at events or known. There were very few if any. Frankly I think the two things they hated were the negative headlines and trolls on social media. And I have to say even the headlines they used, some were American and the troll report by Christopher Boozy, someone who has been sued for misrepresentation of his Bot reports. And, who himself weirdly actually trolled Catherine and William months earlier. Just a very weird character to align oneself to.

I live in Toronto and worked for CTV's (network) executive offices. I had no idea of who MM was ... even after Harry made the announcement. It certainly wasn't her popularity nor her acting skills which would jog my memory, because no-one knew of her either. She was one of many cast members who was never really liked or rven known of. A D-list actress, who made herself out to be someone of greater importance and talent. Her ex-security would NEVER be allowed to speak freely & truthfully because of the NDA he had to sign and any information shared by him (even something harmless like her button coming off or about her hair extensions), would leave him wide open to having his fsmily's lives destroyed by her suing him.

Even though the program 'Suits' was filmed in Toronto, it was aired for 2 years in the US before anyone saw it in Canada. I live in Toronto and until I heard on the news that Prince Harry was asking reporters to leave his girlfriend alone, I had no idea that Harry even had a girlfriend, let alone that she lived in Toronto. This makes me think that there must be some truth to the story that someone started this rumour before it was even happening in order to get attention for Meghan.

They can be sued for going public, but I'm very grateful that some were able to speak to Valentine Low and Tom Bower for their books. I started disliking Meghan when she cleared an entire section at Wimbledon of paying customers so she could have her "privacy." Then their stupid lies, "the palace wouldn't let me see a therapist when I was suicidal" (and homicidal since she was pregnant). Harry has a therapist on speed dial, he wrote about it in his ridiculous book. I'm absolutely disgusted by liars and they both come up with very stupid lies.
Security needs to complete a non-disclosure agreement. In order to speak to media, they (I.e. Meghan's camp) would have to have amended that agreement or waived it, or else this guy could be sued. And the security guy would NOT have gone to the media proactively - he would have been pitched.. again, by Meghan's side. And notice how he didn't really answer who hired/paid for him? He only notes that NBC contacted him.

Even before MeGain met Harry, she was trying to make it she was being hounded. Allegedly, she called the police multiple times, claiming someone was stalking her, outside her house - but each time, they found nothing. Eventually, they told her they would not respond, if she kept causing unnecessary drama.

I don't know how I feel about this interview. He deftly avoided questions he didn't want to answer--who hired him and who paid him, for example. Some of what he says differs greatly from what neighbors, etc. have said. He surely had to sign an NDA, which means that his employer had to give him written permission to do this interview and likely approved what he was going to say. All interesting.

Yes, and she learned the hard way through that instance that if she tried to be normal, happy and smile politely for the press they’d savage her and claimed she “loves it”. They literally addressed these exact images in their documentary: how she tried to just be polite and normal if the hopes they’d treat her nicer in return. It was naive, but her default was “just be nice, just continue doing your normal things, it’ll be OK”. It wasn’t OK.

And you, who has never met her think that what you've heard your anonymous sources say is what is true. Another comment I wanted to make was that one day I walked into a Reitman's store in the Eaton Centre in downtown Toronto. There was a picture of a young women which took up one whole wall and I wondered who it was since I had never seen her before anywhere. It was much later on that I learned that it was actually Megan Markle (the girlfriend of Prince Harry) and that she was a spokesperson for the store and had done commercials for them but I had never seen her on television or anywhere else. It was odd b/c usually you have at least heard of someone who is rocking clothes for a clothing brand but I never had.
