    • It all comes from his Sanda base, which includes wrestling. One of the reasons I think Sanda is a more solid base for MMA than Muay Thai. Of course, it’s different for everyone, though.

    • I read somewhere Zabit trained all life, in a temple or martial arts school as a kid. It's going to be like 10 or whatever years, and I'll be chatting with a friend or something about UFC, then they bring up, "who's your favorite fighter?" And... Really thinking, it would have to be Zabit. Like, I believe I can confidently say without a doubt, there's no fighter that fought like Zabit. I can think of Pettis but his boxing is still like everybody elses, Zabit's boxing is different, his bob and weave he does against the cage, I never seen anyone do that, the takedown trip he does hardly anyone does that, his boxing 1-2 is different, ground game is pretty good, in featherweight he's so tall and long, I think he's the "biggest" featherweight possibly in recency, of course his kicks. I have to go back and rewatch some fights, but he bangs near the last seconds, prodigy. Prodigy...

      @cryptotop1090@cryptotop10903 жыл бұрын
    • @@cryptotop1090 Casual? Not really. Zabit has questionable cardio and there is a difference between having 5 round cardio and being able to keep up with Max Holloway. I don't think he is a leg kicker on the caliber of Volk so he won't be able to mitigate Max's pace with leg kicks. And while he's fast and powerful, Pre; "Blessed era" max took shots from Featherweight Conor Mcgregor, and Max now has taken shots from Poirier(who is a ginormous lightweight) and Aldo. Max has never been knocked down at all. Zabit's chances of knocking him out are extremely slim esp with Max's improved head movement. As for the ground game, Max has pretty impeccable takedown defense, seen in the Edgar fight. Even if Zabit gets him down(which will only happen in the early rounds) Max is generally good at popping up. I think Zabit will get some control but I simply haven't seen Max's ground game tested. Zabit fatigued against Kattar; even if he paces himself, Max gets in your face and puts a pace on you. Either way, Zabit doesn't survive the later rounds, so his best chance is to end it early(good luck wrestling when you're exhausted; I should know, I wrestle) and Max is hilariously durable. Even on the feet, Max > Zabit(esp after the Kattar fight). Zabit is very flashy, clean, and he's got decent power, but Max's volume overwhelms him, and Max has incredible variety in his shots. Zabit isn't a one-trick pony but MAx will simply overwhelm him, and Zabit will use even more energy trying to keep up with max early. Also, I don't think Zabit can survive like Kattar did simply due to his lack of cardio. Max by TKO round 4 or 3. It will probably look like the Aldo fight; Zabit wins the early rounds(this is a maybe; max looked incredible in his last one) then Zabit, fatigued from winning the rounds or trying to keep up with max, gets TKO'ed a la Pettis or Aldo.
