I absolutely agree with you, those short distance punches with almost no amplitude are crazy.
All the power he generates is from his hips, nothing else. Perfect strength, technique and flexibility all in one strike. I wish Bruce Lee was alive to see this man obliterate professional fighters with short hooks. I’m sure he’d be getting front row seats to see Alex fight!

If you notice it's very similar in the beginning motion to the one two he throws in the following clip. He used that leg kick to set up the 1, 2 combo and switch back and forth between that and the leg kick to keep the opponent guessing.

It's just insane that Izzy will hit him with like 15 undefended, unanswered shots, and he survives. Then he comes in next round and floors him will a single shot. Seeing the way these guys go night night almost doesn't even make sense with how short these hooks are. He must plant hard and rotate his whole body weight into these.
