    • Many fighters don’t like to use it because it’s a technique that can end somebodies career with life long repercussions with out ended the fight. Most fighters won’t quit when their knees are blown out but won’t be able to walk for months after and possibly be permanently injured. Most fighters have honour and don’t want to cause permanent life long injuries for their opponents. They all understand that this is their lively hood, their careers, they want to beat them, not cause them to suffer forever the rest of their life. So because of the nature of the injuries caused by oblique kicks to the knee, most fighters choose not to use them.

    • @@deevizm8035 I agree. It’s a scary technique that can have repercussions forever. But it is a fight. I don’t like too many rules but… I also do not want to see anybody injured for any period of time anymore. I am old enough to know that injuries can last a long time.

      @23jdizo@23jdizo2 ай бұрын
    • @@23jdizo I also don’t like some rules. The 12-6 elbow rule is absolutely ridiculous when there are much more lethal forms of striking. I also think the “kicks to a grounded opponent” rule completely changes the fighting. Many people use it as a loophole, which I think is silly because irl a grounded opponent is a vulnerable opponent but in the UFC a “grounded” opponent is safe. I put “grounded” in quotations because putting a finger on the ground is considered a grounded opponent. Which I think should be changed to needing to have your ass, back, chest, shoulders or belly on the ground to be considering a grounded opponent. Being on your hands and knees should be a vulnerable position, not a safe one. I think kicks to the head of a grounded opponent is better than oblique kicks to the knee. Kicks and knees to the head of a grounded opponent will finish fights with a small chance of life king repercussions. Oblique kicks to the knee don’t finish fights and have a greater chance of life long repercussions.

  • Normally, people try to make an excuse and say that they were having an "off day," or "not their best." Much respect to Rampage for being honest.

  • This is the thing about Jones, he throws when he wants. He doesn’t do feints so much he just goes to throw something if that isn’t going to land he adapts, changes to something else, if that isn’t going to, he’ll feint or throw something else or move in closer, but THEN lane a strike, and he’s that accurate too.
