Halep wygrała bo Światek dała jej za darmo 25 punktów a nie dlatego, ze tamta grała znakomicie. Gdyby nie 42 niewymuszone błędy to mecz by wygrała w dwóch setach.
@@55rhplus mialem podobna opinie, ale po wysluchaniu wywiadow z Iga i Sim oraz po obejrzeniu powtorki zmienilem zdanie. Od drugiego seta Sim zmienila taktyke. Cofnela sie, i zaczela uderzac dlugie pilki z mocnym, ciezkim topspinem. Iga nadal probowala w swoim zwyczaju grac ofensywnie, co lubie, ale wygenerowalonto mase bledow. Powinna zaadaptowac swoj styl gry. Wiec moim zdaniem to nie byly nie wymuszone bledy, tylko bledy wymuszone przez Sim. Cenna lekcja dla Igi i troche szkoda meczu, bo moim zdaniem jest graczem z duuuzym potencjalem. Pozdrawiam!
@@pawelmod3292, Iga powiedziała też, że podpuściła drugiego seta aby się skoncentrować na trzecim. Kto tak robi? To uskrzydliło Halep i grała lepiej niż potrafi. Ona jest słabsza od Igi.. Ta nr 2 na świecie zagrał dziś jak amatorka. 80% piłek prosto pod rakietę Wiliams. Serena nie będzie musiał sobie majtek prac po tym meczu :) Masa prostych błędów Halep. Anastasia Potapova 101w rankingu WTA stawiła dużo większy opór Wiliams. To Iga powinna dziś z nią grać i miała by dużo większe szanse na wygraną.

Congrats! I like the maturity of Simona, very experienced player with very positive approach towards tennis! In my opinion (statistics are supporting it) Simona has played a very good game with really good serving games, but at the same time, Iga has made a lot of unforced errors even after relatively easy balls from Simona. Iga has a huge potential but she needs more experience. She tends to win the first set easily but then bottles up the second. It's not a question of skill but experience and mental resilience. She's only 19 so she has all in front of her. When she fixes the above she will become unstoppable.

@@hukkyrpg658 Iga was brought up on clay and loves sliding on clay too, her idol is Rafa nadal, her record on clay is flawless! She moves like a clay court specialist beating players on clay in 2 sets including the final runner up, Simona Halep and the American Sofia K.
@@jamiewhitney4724 Yeah, Simona was brought up on clay aswell and she loves playing clay because she can defend better. They played on hard and none of them love this surface so Simona had something that Iga didn't today, maybe the experience that she has on the tour made a difference

What a formidable tussle, especially It was the encounter which satisfied our prospects from 3 sets between Simona Halep and Swiatek. Swiatek was really magnificent in the first set. However, Halep vividly subdued the second set against Swiatek with a huge dominance. As for the final set, definitely ardous battle till the last points. Even so Simona was more influential in the second section of the showdown. Well-deserved victory from Halep congrats!
Iga lost the second set mostly because of her unforced errors tbh
@@wild3estdreams10 Iga competed more aggressive than the expected. It also caused her to drop the second set. Moreover, the number of unforced errors extended in the final set but Halep maintained the composure of the encounter in the end. For that reason, she deserved to advance to the quarter final berth

Great match, great performance from both players. Halep demonstrated wonderful technique, concentration and composure. Only downside: the Eurosport female commentator clearly biased negatively towards Halep thus very unprofessional.

To those of you that can't bear the sounds of Simona when she hits the ball I just want to say that this is a battle tactic of intimidating your opponent... When you scream like this you encourage yourself to hit the ball powerful... It is like a warrior sound preparing to fight until the very end... To never give up... and psichologically speaking, that says a lot about the personality of the player. So why should this be forbiden in tennis? If you are one of the best tennis player amoung the world, why shouldn't you express yourself emotionally? I mean Serena Williams screams as well or Sara Soribes Tormo while hitting the ball but no one seems to have a problem with that. So if you don't like Simona's screaming while hitting the ball then perhaps you shouldn't watch her matches anymore but you must understand that a true champion has to express herself by showing her fighting spirit while hitting the ball. Congratulations Simona! You are magnificent! 🤗🤗🤗😍😍😍

I wouldn't watch a tennis match with the same interest if it would be "in silent mode" but I can understand there are people who are disturbed by such noises in tennis. Maybe they should watch other sports where they won't hear anything at all. I recommend chess.

I've noticed these British commentators are always against Simona or any other Romanian in general. I think they are still salty for when Romania knocked them out in fed cup a couple years ago!!

No i pokazala Serena Wiliams ,jak powinno sie grac z Simona Haleb. Ze rumunska zawodnioczka jest 2 na liscie rankingu ,to nie znaczy ,ze jest taka dobra.Rutyna, taktyka,dobry repertuar uderzen i nic wiecej. Wiliams ,Osaka,dwie amerykanki i pare rosjanek ,to jest grupa zawodniczek z extra ligi ,tenisa kobiet. Nasza zawodniczka ,narazie w tej lidze nie jest. Ona zapukala do bram tej swiatyni ,ale ta brama jest zamknieta. Teraz trzeba ,by zebral sie sztab naszej zawodniczki (pan Tomasz rowniez) i zastanowil sie ,co dalej!!!??Trenerowi Igi ,trzeba postawic jasny cel...i tu nie chodzi o miejsce na liscie rankingu. Tu chodzi o to, jak sie mecze wygrywa,przegrywa i dlaczego. Sorry...lecz sadze ,ze zostaly popelnione bledy w zalozeniach taktycznych...1 set 6-1 ,Iga robi przerwe i daje czas rywalce ,by sie pozbierala!!! Mozna bylo pojsc za ciosem ,walnac nastepne 6 -1 i byc w cwiercfinale. Zyczymy calej ekipie Igi Swiatek powodzenia i pozdrawiamy...

A lot of errors from Swiatek but in any case, potentially, at least, an elite player of the future. One to watch.

don't quite get as to why Iga discontinued level of intensity she had in first set and played not to lose in the second and gave up on her aggressive approach from then on, had she played 2nd like she did 1st it would have been 2 straight sets affair

It isn't about racket. Racket is just a tool, not a magic wand. It's up to player how it will be used.

Why Iga Swiatek left the track after the first set is not clear to me, she left the momentum there. I found her error rate on the first service to be remarkably high.
Something happend after 1st set. Świątek had about 50 mistakes. You can not do this in AO.
42 unforced errors from Świątek today. Just to put it into perspective, Halep won 85 points to win the match...
