  • Interesting video. In the late 1960's I was a U.S. Coast Guard radarman stationed aboard a few different C.G. ships that were primarily used to man Atlantic Ocean Stations. There were 4 manned ocean stations during my time. Bravo, Charlie, Delta and Echo. With Bravo being the most Northern station between Canada and Iceland. On occasion we would be notified to watch for a smaller aircraft, like a small Cessna, being ferried across to Europe. Most often those small planes would cross directly over us and be coming out of Gander and heading directly for the Azores. We would hold a short conversation with them and usually forward their flight info to Air Traffic Control via teletype or sometimes even via 500 kw C.W. We were generally on station for 3 weeks at a time with a travel time of 2 to 3 days each way. My home ports were Boston and New Bedford, Ma. This may or may not be of interest to anyone :)

    • I find this very interesting. So you're saying that the coast guard ship WAS the station? And it was In the middle of the Atlantic just loitering in a specific area? Or if not, what was the station?

    • I’m wondering if they take maximum fuel weight at each stop they make and ensure that all of the fuel tanks are kept 100% full at all times, if this is feasible for takeoff distance and other onboard weights?

  • I was blown away by the weights. The last time I crossed the Atlantic as a crew member it took 150,000 pounds of fuel. Our takeoff weight was 593,000 pounds, we offloaded 150,000 pounds of fuel and our landing weight was about 290,000 pounds.

  • I’ve always LOVED the fact that Honda made the WHOLE car industry HAVE TO BUILD more durable dependable higher quality cars. THANKYOU! For that! They changed the “disposable” car industry into the more “reliable” car industry by raising the standard so the public INSISTED on it. I saw a few years back they were building a “secret” plane, not a secret anymore…a real dream come to life! I always thought…if I were to buy a private plane…it would be THIS ONE! I LOVE IT! It looks high quality like the car and these pilots did a great job! Very professional and dependable and trustworthy wouldn’t mind flying with them at all! Looks fun!

  • This was SUPERB editing!!!! I think that should be mentioned first. Because the editor(s) managed to take all those hours and hours of maybe a lot of uninteresting things (because there's only so much you could see that would be interesting) and make it a fun, light hearted, adventurous video. I even loved when the name of the location showed up on the screen in large font when you all were about. to land. As well as, great filming. Even the b-rolls were pretty cool and given some nice thought. Of course, great personalities as well. To mention things in a non-technical way yet in a way that pilots and lovers of flight, would still find interesting. As it has been typed, great folks to represent Honda. Now, I'm not a pilot or editor. I'm an actor that hopes one day to have my pilot's license. All I know about the Honda Jet is from Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. It's a smooth plane and easy to understand. The Garmin system in it isn't as updated as what I see here. But, it's still good enough. Lastly, I appreciate this flight. I'm going to try and imitate it one day soon. I'm in California and most of my sim flights stem from here. I need to change that. LOL Great video overall. I didn't even realize that 40 minutes had flown by (no pun). New Subscriber!!!😁👍🏾✌🏾

So nice you gave this process some room and showed it to your audience… 👍 Good team effort ☺️ Greetings from Germany everybody 👋 P.S. Planning six legs is the smart thing to do, obviously you want extra precautions when you get to the Arctic Circle and since these two gentlemen have plenty of experience… they KNOW things can go wrong 🎉

  • Hats off to these guys. I had a ferry pilot fly my Cessna 310D over to the UK from Arkansas, using the same routing. The difference was ..he did IT SOLO, and without an operational autopilot !. It was fully checked over in Goose Bay, to ensure it was upto the trip. No work was needed and he set off I was told he set an atlitude alarm he provided himself ..so he could have a snooze while airborne en-route 😮😮... although he did say once trimmed the aircraft it flew dead straight and level. I collected it from him at Preswick in Scotland, and flew him down to Biggin Hill near to London where he lived, listening to his fascinating stories of mine and other aircraft he has flown over.
