The answer is and has been for over half dozen years is they did nothing wrong this traffic stop was absolutely lawfull in every detail.
*police have to have a reason to run tags! they do have scanners on some vehicles but those only notify police if there are tickets against the vehicle from my understanding!*
@lixmediallc9846 That is incorrect! The ALPR scan plates for compliance with registration regulations and the law in the U S is plain registration inquiries (tag run) may be (and is) done any time, any where, for any reason, or for officer information at will. That is the law and has been for decades and is supported by the supreme court, thus as they ran that tag in this story the inquiry was and is absolutely legal in every detail.
They did nothing wrong. People are just looking for reasons to be outraged over. They were professional from the start, and her being the state's attorney doesn't change a damn thing. She's not immune from being pulled over, just like everybody else. I bet if someone stole her car she'd want them out there doing the exact same thing to other people.

@Dejan Luca Dejan Luca you get it; your not as stupid as your argument suggest. the stop was ILLEGAL, cops not suppose to run license plates without probable cause, ie traffic accident, speeding, etc. so your right they routinely break the law, and that has everything to do with abuse of power. I don't expect you to understand that, so this is for other readers.
@Dejan Luca Dejan Luca ya im curious how this is racially driven pull over?
The way she rubs her fingers together when she asked for their cards is so satisfying

Army, Air Force and Marine Corps officers are called company grade officers in the paygrades of O-1 to O-3, field grade officers in paygrades O-4 to O-6 and general officers in paygrades O-7 and higher. The equivalent officer groupings in the Navy are called junior grade, mid-grade and flag.

My fav part
I loved that moment. Suddenly not their car and the one leaning in weasels away.
Most of the country has "auto plate verification scanners" too , why is she supposed to be an exception ? Same for excessive tint (looks like a drug dealers car) it's the judgement all cops make. Exception: Phoenix az
But someone tell me why you are discussing a traffic stop from 7 years ago where nothing happened, except for young cop pulled over county owned vehicle for "tags that didn't come back" to police scanner.
Genius cop pulled over county vehicle operated by Florida state attorney. "Tags didn’t come back" and "the windows were really dark." He "didn't have a tint measure, but that was another reason for the stop", cop said. Cop detained Florida state attorney, examined her ID, certified registration of the county vehicle and freed Florida state attorney, someone wrote.
when she said “do you guys have cards on you” and did that little grabby thing... whew the POWER !!! an icon 😭
Destiny Starrett Power move indeed. That finger gesture was everything. 🤏🏾 She had me shook, I almost reached for my wallet to grab my ID. 😂
Right ! They starting shittin in their pants 😩

"that little grabby thing". Haha! ... Funny how that resonated with people.
After seeing her ID, that police officer started speaking like he was the one being stopped. 🤣

So, they stopped county owned vehicle operated by Florida state attorney and what ? They clarified it and that's it.
What do you mean no thats not all she was dismissed of cases and duties and is long long gone from any state offices
Now the football player is the minor officer holder. He was appointed by the governor to a county judge and a Florida state attorney.

I love how she was smiling, knowing that they were bullshitting her.
Random Commenter - Thats odd She later released a statement to the media ADMITTING that the mv stop was LEGAL and consistent with Florida law 🤔
when he said the reason why we stopped you was also because of the dark tint, her smile said "GOT EM!!" LOL
She acted entitled and immature.
They were not bullshitting tho
She's smiling because she knows they won't ticket her. She thinks she's above the law.
"the windows were really dark" the smile she gave after he said that😂😂
Because they can legally run her tags but they need a legitimate reason to pull her over 😂 so they went for "your windows are really dark" what clowns
Whoopedy Doo Dooders - Maybe you should get your facts straight The primary reason for the mv stop was for her plate not the windows The officer clearly states this in the video Tinted windows is a secondary offense in the State of Florida They had a legitimate reason to pull her over
@@maizenblue981 You are right. but If I were dealing with the people she puts away I would have tinted windows.
A tag that comes back to nothing is in no way a legitimate reason for a stop. There is no warrant, tickets, stolen property. You can’t just say because you’ve never seen it before that there is probable cause for a stop
Justin Chiles - Really So why do all of us need to register our mv’s Justin??! All mv’s operated on a public way in this country need to be registered with their states DMV It stands to reason that all those vehicle’s registrations would be on file with the DMV wouldn’t it?!
It is absurd to question government employees for tags of the county owned/leased vehicle.
No one is above the law
