As a victim of elon musk CEO of tesla, a data mining company at the same level of cambridge analytica, mentioned in this movie but somehow managed to be omitted in the clip posted here on the same part that is mentioned in documentary (1:00), I tell you is the most disturbing, disgusting human made technological application, with worse minds trying to make it into your brain. Look at neuralink another of musk's pursues, but also others in data mining and the likes. If you think social media sites have done you wrong, you haven't looked at the full picture; it's not social networks you should be worried about, my the minds behind tech all over the place. There is far worse than exposed in this documentary, and they want worse than the already in place; their greed and desire to own people knows no bounds. Advances in AI and data analysis are continuous and rapid. The laws that regulate our democracy, that regulate our free speech, that regulate lies and manipulation and data theft - these laws struggle to keep up, especially with the passage of new legislation currently blocked as it is in Britain and the US. If something is done that has never been done before, is that thing legal? Should regulation fail to keep the pace, it will indeed, as Hilders insists, be up to private individuals to curb the process and thereby guard our democracies by doing data protection themselves. By liking posts and pages, we let ourselves be known by companies such as Facebook. We must not do so. That knowledge, the knowledge of us, is power. READ MORE @t

Yes that is what people focus on, but even when you go shopping almost every store you have to have a frequent shopper card to get discounts. They track your purchases, where you live and flood your emails. Every time you purchase something, the cards know. Every time you go anywhere, if you have maps on your phone it tracks you and everywhere you have been. People are being constantly under surveillance even if they just get off Facebook.

Airplane, that comedy with Leslie Nielsen, and I have never seen it and I agreed to watch it. So he asks my roommate if we can use his dvd. We didn’t google anything, watch any trailers, nothing. We put the dvd in a DVD player on a regular tv, that is not smart, nor is it hiked up to the internet. We Watched it. It was funny, we laughed. Done. We put it away. What do I get an ad for on the side bar or face book that night? Not a new movie. Not a streaming service. A fucking ad for airplane!

Never ever Googled anytime about that kind of stuff, never bought anything or watched any videos - then IMMEDIATELY after the conversation, the next ad is for Disney Princesses. Now, I know that a sceptic could say "it's coincidence, and you only noticed it because you'd been talking about it". Which is a very logical reasoning, that kind of thing happens all the time. Talk about yellow cars and you suddenly notice a lot of yellow cars. But this is different. My ads are usually based on my search history and purchase history (I tend to pay attention just out of interest). So it's usually stuff like computer accessories or language learning related things... How does it make the jump from that to Disney Princesses?
