Looking at last year's gliding footage I found this little gem. It was the end of an abandoned state record attempt but the clouds, mountains, and amazing lighting at the end of the day makes for a relaxing final glide to get back home to Nephi, Utah. The glider is an ASW27B and the camera is a GoPro 7Black. I'm looking forward to a lot more flying and fun videos to share coming up. Thanks for watching! Bruno - B4
So glad you're back Bruno. Stunning scenery as you crawled over those mountain ledges.
I was just thinking about this channel, and how I could use an upload right about now! 😃👍
I so want to do this myself! I have been flying radio control gliders for almost all my life with an aspiration to one day sit in a real one and control it from inside instead of watching a speck from the ground. Thanks again for the upload Bruno
As a glider flight instructor....enjoy watching your glider videos Bruno.
Bruno, The Icing On The Cake Of Your Videos Is That You Don't Dub In Any Unrelated, Needless, Detracting Music Or Any Unnecessary Commentary! Just Being Able To Sit Back & Relax While Being In The Pilot's Seat & Watch & Listen To The Glider Moving Thru The Air Without Distractions Is The Most Interesting & Appealing! Live Audio Only Is The Only Way To Eat This Type Of Cake! Thank You Very Much For Being A Purist To The Sport!👍👍
Great to see new video from you. Looking forward to more!
What an amazing flight. Your skill is so high you make it look easy.
Hi Bruno, glad to see you posting again.
Happy to see you flying again!
Beautiful scenery as always! Thanks , Bruno!
So good to see another pro gliding video from you Bruno.
Good to see you back at it sir!
Wow what a flight !!! I got to get out there some time. 👍 thanks again
Welcome back!!
Maravilha Bruno, já montou até uma estrada aérea aí heimmmm.... belíssimo voo, parabéns!!!
Love your videos Bruno!
Thanks for sharing. The cloudscapes and landscapes were positively stunning! I'm itching to get up too, but also grounded by the pandemic (and the panel rebuild is not done yet, and the trailer needs new tiers, etc). For now, my mates and I are flying together in Condor to polish off the rust as best we can (with friendly competition, of course). Hope you get up soon and can share more great 'scapes.
I'm getting very excited to continue flying
Great job Bruno.
Very Nice to see you!
Welcome Back Bruno
Stone cold landing, dude. Coulda put out a candle flame on the beginning of the runway!
Dude, I saw this channel posting another video and I clicked on it faster then anything. Is that...bad? Because honestly, i enjoy these videos alot.
Ignition I agree bud I started watching his vids went right out and started gliding lessons than bought a altralight it’s awesome and now I’m looking for a glider all this in one year I love flying yes !
no frills, pure content and highly interesting content at that.
Thank you for this new video of... When was it? I enjoyed every moment of it from my confined room in France, dreaming that I'm flying over Utah!
I hope you won't have to keep 7.5m distancing this summer; good to dee a post again!
34:20 Great fly by!!
And we're back, nice flight nice landing
I'm pretty sure that the flight above is not this season.
Utah is a very special place... Absolutely stunning! Any specific soaring goals for you this year?
Thanks! My only goal is to be allowed to fly... details coming in next few weeks. 😩
@@BrunoVassel ... and then to make videos for the southern hemisphere to watch during their winter.
Ok, I have a question: that can be considered a LIFR condition? (Beautiful, so silent, so peaceful 🤩)
hello, beautiful flight ; particular weather conditions, with the ascending and descending currents in substantial equilibrium, they have allowed you to maintain constant altitude, speed and course. Correct me if I'm wrong. Fantastic.
Nice ride home. Looking at the view at 28:58, you could have kept going for hours?!
👍👍👍😀
Yes, more videos please, and in 4k so we can read your ASI.
Since I play KSP, I got nervous when the plane started to yaw during the landing. Yikes, RIP to the countless kerbals lost to yaw induced crashing.
Gliders like this are the kings of side-slipping (inducing that yaw on purpose to slow down before the touch down)
Hell yuh
Bruno, how do you modify your Mccready final glide speed if there's good cloud street all the way to the airport ?
Very cool to see the 44mins of the video!! Short question from a non-glider pilot: if you had vacated to the left I am reasonably confident you would be able to either leave enough runway and taxiway clear or you could also have quickly pulled the glider away from the taxiway, so vacating to the RIGHT seems to be worse option. Can you please explain? Thanks!!!
Great questions! Very perceptive! The only reason why I went to the right (west) of the runway was because we do a lot of grass operations on the west side and it has been smoothed out much more than the east side. Less bumpy of a roll off. If both sides were equal - yes, rolling off to the left would have been logistically better. Great observation!
Hi Bruno. Do you have an OLC link for this flight ?
Are you guys up flying or still restricted , will you miss the season this year ?
Hi Peter. We are just starting to fly now. The weather has been cool and windy in Utah so it has hampered my flying so far. Next weekend looks not good either but summer will eventually come. Cheers!
YAAAaaawn...ZZZ,,,ZZZZ
Can you help me to clarify the problem of the sistem units used around the world? Here in Italy, for instance, we use instruments in meters and kilometers, but I see that perhaps you have them in feets. Thanks in advance of you can find the time to replay to me.
There is no problem really. Just different preferences
Often hear of people talking about temperature sensors on each wingtip to try and detect thermals.
I think a better way is to lightly hold the stick and 'feel' if a wing is lifted up or not. Hard to imagine temperatures would be that useful!
Pure Glide that would explain why it’s not used.
@@brucebaxter6923 It would still be an interesting experiment to try!
Too slow, too unprecise, at least at affordable cost. Even then I doubt the usefulness. You can feel changes of movement with great sensibility in fractions of a second with your butt when you have the experience.
I knew one pilot who swore he could "see" thermal activity using polarising sunglasses. Okay, I'll stop typing.
constantly getting oxygen is harmful.
