  • I love how they synced up the music to the animation. They are actually hitting the right notes at the right time on their instruments. It's rare that animation is so precise when it comes to music.

    • I don't think it's the same megaphone. In the Murdoc's commentary of Feel Good Inc., he talks about how the megaphone was a gift he got for 2D at a toy store. Apparently, 2D played with it so much it drove Murdoc mad and he destroyed it.

  • This video for me and probs so many other people is so surreal because I've watched them grow up since they first started, when they were 2D drawings, and Noodle was a 10 year old child, and 2D had black pupils and purple hair, and Murdoc wasn't as green, and Russell was possessed. And look at them now! They've all gotten older, and are still the most amazing band! Would have loved to see this irl 🎸❤️

  • What keeps me coming back to the Gorillaz is that they keep testing the bounds of what they can do with 2D, Murdoc, Russ, and Noodle. From when I first saw them on a late night Toonami to today I keep coming back. Their sound is still amazing, the art is a blast, and the animation is superb. Gorillaz keep on rocking and keep pushing those bounds. Show us that an animated group of performers can be just as awesome as anyone in real life!

As New York City, New York is an incredibly dense urban metropolis - the biggest in The entire United States of America - while London, England is an equally dense urban metropolis - the biggest in The entire United Kingdom of Great Britain [which is comprised of England, Scotland, Wales, & Cornwall] and Northern Ireland. I have no doubt that Damon feels most at-home in very large, very dense urban cities like London, New York City, Los Angeles, Toronto, Mexico City, Tokyo & Osaka, Hong Kong, Paris, etc etc. Since he grew-up in and has always lived in that type of environment.

  • I don't know if I'm alone, but I tend to prefer songs where they don't feature another artist. NOT Saying that their features are bad I will still listen all the same, but this song is an example of why I have my preference. 2-D, or rather Damon himself, just has a way of sucking me into a universe where I genuinely forget about what's going on around me. Like I'm in a whole new state of existence, stress free and vibing.

  • This song truly touched me and it feels so special. I was in high school when Demon Dayz came out and it defined my entire existence. I remember listening to it with my friends while back roading through the woods, drinking beer and smoking weed. Then in my sophomore year of art school, Plastic Beach came out and the first time I heard it was the first time I ingested LSD for the first time. Once in a lifetime experience (not recommended for everyone) and I was never the same after that. I must have listened to it dozens and dozens of times. Now here I am all these years later a 32 year old adult, I don’t do drugs or drink anymore but listening to this song still gives me the same feeling of joy and catharsis that their music has always. And it gives me hope that even though the world is slowly falling apart, there’s still hope to to be found, love to feel and moments of pure bliss to experience. Thank you Gorillaz for all the years of happiness you all have brought me.

  • Here's an idea for the next Gorillaz music video: make a 3D animation based on motion capture of the four band members playing the song in their instruments, kinda like how Guitar Hero Metallica was made. For the motion capture to be accurate, have the live Gorillaz members do it (just guitar, bass, drums and Damon).
