Hi
@Anna Tarcinale q
Thank for the superb demonstration on the proper push-up. Done properly, the chest and biceps should be larger in due time. Thank you again.
Thanks for the vdo a-some? The breathing, is like we racing to get threw a set any advice helpful thanks for your service bless life world peace.)
Should my arms feel stiffed?
I just finished doing 100 wrong push ups.... i tried 5 of these and almost died. This was awesome.
Yeah I can do 70 pushups with my elbows wrong but only 40 the right way
Lucky you I can't even do one
I managed only 15 the right way, yet I could do 50 the wrong way
Technically speaking the wrong way IS the right way, these push-ups are intentionally inefficient so that you can get all the muscles working at maximum exertion, the bad form ones are lazy because, as is human nature, we are driven to burn as little energy as possible. Keep doing the correct ones though.
@@clankplusm Since the objective here is not to do an efficient motion but to engage the muscle, obviously the "wrong way" is not the right way.
You know the instructors are legit when they don't feel the need to be shirtless in every video
exactly
Pretty sure his shirt is on for his microphone you dunce
@@fourtruths3324 Shut the hell up, he was talking about how most of these “fit” trainers gotta be shirtless you eggroll
Real talk tho, awesome shirt

"squeeze your abs" *I don't think I have the facility for that bigman*
My dude everyone has abs, its another thing for them to be visible lmao
everyone has abs
Its a joke 🤣
Imagine someone about to punch your belly, ahhh there are the abs
I'm 240 pounds as a 5'8 15 year old and 2 weeks ago i started jogging 2 and a half miles nearly every day because i was fed up with hating my body. Now i come here as hopefully a kickstart to a better life. Wish me luck through this journey everybody!
You can do it! :)
You got this!
How's it going?
good shit buddy hope everything works out well for you
Hey man im doing the same, makesure you stick to it... remember don’t fall back into old habits, cause those are what got you in this position in the first place👍🏼
Lowkey crying bc they shouldve taught this in gym classes when i was younger instead of shouting at half of us for doing it wrong 😂😂😂
Trisha Tolentino they only made us play basketball or sit in the bleachers and talk
For real gym class sucked. my gym teacher would make all us fat kids run laps while the other kids played sports and lifted weights
@Brendan Frost Hello, another online class student. Tell me what a real 7th grade is like. And be quick, my online classes start at the 8th.
Just realized I barely learn anything useful years of my gym class
@@Kinoable what are you really supposed to learn in gym? PE in school is only for being active and burning energy. Did you really think gym teachers were going to give you advice and techniques on being physically fit
I am very fat but I managed to do one knee push up and its my first ever proper push up.
Keep going!!
Keep going!
Wish you all the best bro!!keep it up!!
grimmer 2000 keep it up man you can do this!
More Power to you
My gym teacher sent my class here for distance learning lol
thats great cuz this guy teaches legit form tips
@Louis Louis um..ok?
Not fair
@Louis Louis how dare they teach
Me too
Me sitting here for 10 minutes just trying to get myself of the floor
Damn paraplegics am I right?
same 😌
same lol
Two years ago I couldn’t do a single push-up and my whole body would shake. Today I did 40 consecutive. Thanks for the proper form tips!!
How's your progress so far
How do you get better at them if you can't even do one? Asking because i literally can't even do one :(
@@ghostwidmost Well if you really want to improve, then do this, and trust me even if it sounds dumb. You should start with doing push-ups from a wall. You are still pushing your body, only less force is necessary. When you feel confident, move on to something more difficult. Use a chair or a table or anything that lets you do push-ups in a certain angle between floor and wall. Then after a few days of this, you should be able to complete your normal push-up. I couldn't do a single push-up too a few months ago, but I did what I said to do above, and after two weeks I managed to do 10 push-ups. It's all about consistency. You can do it king 👑
@@master.9202 I started working out 2 weeks ago, im going to add what you said to my rountine, I'm going to do push-ups off of my bed rest because it is slightly higher than the ground but not too high to where it's minimal effort. I'll be back in 2 weeks to update you on how many normal push-ups I can do. Thank you king 👑
@@ghostwidmost Good luck man, it's amazing to see people trying to change their lives. I'm sure it's going to be much better in two weeks already! I think I'm gonna add jogging to my routine actually, I heard it's good to jog before working out. Good luck to both of us
“It’s not that hard” His muscles while he’s doing the push up: B U L G E

For all the people that have never done a push-up: Start with a plank. It’ll build the core muscles for you so you can start doing exercises much easier.
Where do I put the plank though?
@@eddnox your joking right? 😂
@championchap and squeeze your legs and slide down the plank even though you're holding it but who cares about physics
@@konondayo5397 good one
@@azaanmalik4769 glad you like it itachi
you'd think gym teachers would be knowledgeable enough to teach us these things. i've been killing my back doing shitty push ups throughout my life
I was skeptical about it at first but i did on average 60 pushups a day (with breaks each 30 pushups) for a week and ive noticed major improvement. Great vid!
Izai... Do you complete 60 everyday with rest days? I just saw the video and finished eating a large dinner. I could complete 25 with 4 sets the wrong way. Let's see how this will work out the right way.
@@vaiolover1997 if you want a good improvement try working out, 5 times a week and give yourself 2 days rest, so basically Mon, Tue, rest, Thu, Fri, rest, and sun.
@@cero6442 Thanks. Rest is important. I have being slacking off for the last two months, time to be busy bee again.
@@vaiolover1997 oh also don’t do full body workouts. Do chess and triceps next day do biceps forearm and back next day core and lower body workouts. I’m not an expert but rest is important so you shouldn’t do full body workouts. But u do what u want.
@@cero6442 Yeah, I am not a young man like you guys. Lol. I look young but I am 66 years old. Alternative days is the way to go. Be safe.
Love the lift the hands off the mat reminder. Such a small/simple thing but really makes sure I am engaging my chest and not relying on my arms/back.
I’ve been using this technique to isolate my chest due to nerve damage in my left shoulder and it’s a game changer!
I've watched so many videos on pushups, and this was the one that actually helped me the most. You can't imagine how important this video was for me. Thanks a thousand tons friend!
Lol I have never done a real pushup in my life. I started practicing this and within a few minutes I was able to do full man push ups . I am a girl and I really recommend this
collins jean ya nasty
Imagine having social awareness xd
probably because ur smart
How do you even do it, I’ve followed this video but I can’t seem to push my lower body up, I need to use my back muscles to actually lift it up
@@owo4470 your too weak then rn. Do the end push ups and you will progress
You're just the best, never seen any routine so practical and relatable. 1000 stars!
The best pushup video. Simple, straight to the point. A lot of other KZheadrs don't really talk about the shoulder roll out like you and how to correct it. Thank You! God Bless!
I’ve just gone around KZhead looking for good techniques on how to my workouts properly as they haven’t been doing anything to my fitness levels so I’ve tried these and it has worked so far so good
I do a lot of pushups, every other morning. This is the best tutorial I've come accross. Ive been making these mistakes repeatedly. Great tips! Thanks.
I 68r66855s
Really helped, thanks. I struggle to do my first ten reps in the morning but this way I found it a lot easier and felt it in my chest.
This is the BEST clip I’ve seen on push-up instruction. Well done.
Wow!! I have been doing push ups for a while and I feel that this is how you really do a push up. Thanks for making this video and making a difference
Been lifting weights consistently for over a year and with coronavirus here, gym is closed...So I’m working out at home and couldn’t even do 2 full body pushups this way. Thanks for showing the correct form! And for also doing the modified version where I was able to do more lol. This was rough but I was so happy to get it right.
Your channel is literary the only one that I look up for whenever trying to do new workout movements.
Watching this vid actually taught me how to perfectly angle and feel the pressure. Great job man! Not really that many vids that explain it the way you did
This is a really great tutorial. Can feel it in the chest much more than before. Nice work Adam, thank you.
Thank you Adam! I been trying to find a video that'll help me do a push up properly. I appreciate all your great explanations but especially the hand release pushup technique as well as the need to tighten the abs.

This was probably the best explanation of a push up that I have found online and I have been looking a lot. Great job, Adam!
Thank you for this video, I always tried different ways to keep my shoulders retracted through the movement. This one rules.
i finally understand what those comments meant when they say that they can go down but can’t come up
It’s mainly about pushing up your body weight 🤷♀️
i mean that's why it's called push up lmao
Dude doing this feels so much better on my body and i never knew push ups could be so strategical and i love it! Thanks for the vid, mate! I really appreciate the guidance 💪💪💪
This actually feels much better than the wrong push up forms I have done before. thank you for this video 😁💯👍
thank you for the best explanation on this topic
Yess! I loved this video, I finally know where to put my hands. Also paying more attention to my back positioning. I got 6 for my 1st time! Going for 25!! Let's Get it!!
Good luck!!
This the only video that tells how to place the hand and the distance that helps a lot all the other trainers don’t talk abt that stuff thanks a lot dude this is very useful
I can't believe it. The breakdown of how to perform a correct push has helped to do a push up without grimace. Thank you so much. You're the man....big up👊🏾
I love the way he gives a guide on this
Thank you so much for this video! I just found out today that I've been doing push ups wrong this whole time. No wonder I haven't been able to progress from knee to normal push ups.
One of the only people who isn't some deuce bag without a shirt on. Im currently starting a lean bulk after I had just cut 20 lbs and I plan to be doing push ups for the long run. Need to get the form right before anything else. Thanks for the video 🙂. Edit: Just did a few sets and these are way harder damn. I feel it in my chest, triceps, and abs a lot more now and barely anything in the shoulders. Thanks man!! you don't know how much this helps!!
All these years and this is the best method I've found. Not to mention your teaching style is informative and open. Unlike the bullying I got in earlier years Thanks so much for this🙌🙌
I love this video it as really improve my push up exercise
That's a lot to remember at one time but I'm looking forward to trying it and hopefully perfecting.

I’ve worked out for several years now and have always had trouble with my upper body because of my shoulder, scapula and collar bone. This was my first time doing push-ups and it feeling solid and not feeling any discomfort on my upper body. I’ll keep practicing and hope this is a good road to healthy upper body
Same bro is it good or still problematic.
Thank you 🙏 very much for sharing this! I love learning and relearning so I can keep proper form and technique during my training. So important to have that mind body connection throughout workouts. You’re very thorough and easy to understand, truly appreciate your videos 🙏👍👌
Thank you so much . Now i can push up correctly . Im really new to this gym stuff and i wanted to know more about this to make sure im doing it properly to avoid injuries .
Best push up video ever. I wish I had found this years ago!
Although there are different variations for a pushup, the best way and right way is to keep the back flat while keeping ht hips level with the shoulders, keeping the knees bent as well, and when you move to do a pushup, move slightly forward and down in an arcing motion and then return to the original position. always press from the palm and the tips of the fingers and imagine you are trying to press through the floor when performing the pushups. make sure to keep the knees slightly bent and also the hips/glute area higher. you will get a great pump out of this.
@Mind Pump TV I don't usually comment on fitness videos but I have to say this is *truly* the best video for doing push-ups correctly. I tried for years to do push-ups and they always destroyed my left shoulder to the point where it would ache for like 2 days. Even doing 10 pushups for 1 set could only be done if I was highly motivated. I watched this video and after doing push-ups throughout the day for 4 days a week for 2 weeks, I can now do 20 pushups in one set and not feel like my left shoulder is dying lmao Thank you for putting this video out
Wow easiest and simplest push-up tutorial I’ve seen. And you’re showing us how to work the chest! Great vid👍🏻
I have been doing these incorrectly my entire life. My max was 65 and my shoulders are killing me. No form to my chest. I just “pressed through the floor” and maxed out at 22. This will be my go to technique for the rest of my life. Thank you brother!
You're welcome!
I felt it’ square in the middle of my chest too. I will do my push ups with this muscle memory from now on.
Omg this is like kindergarten of push ups. Thanks for being generous and sharing such insane premium level content for free .
Thank you so much, so far your way to explain the push ups especially for beginners is GREAT! Easy and very practical.
THANK YOU!!!!! This explanation was everything!!! I've never been able to do a push up and would like to challenge myself... I was definitely the example of arching from the lower back. I APPRECIATE how you broke this down! I def subscribed and look forward to more videos from you.
Brilliant walkthrough! I've always been more sore in my shoulders than my chest and this really helped me figure it out.
I wanna get real fit for skiing and I saw this as an effective workout which is why I'm watching how to do it properly. Appreciate the tips man
Thank you. Proper push-ups are powerful. I shared this video with a few friends. I am a fairly new but excited student of proper push-ups. Thank you for this video.

There are a lot of great physical trainers on KZhead. I think Adam is the best. I have used some of his tips and found them very helpful.

Thank you!
Thanx , this video is different than the others , and your idea to start from the ground simply show what muscles will work , more elbow flaring you are targeting shoulder , more elbow to side you are targeting triceps , so if you are targeting chest you got to pick your favorite angle inbetween , starting from the ground helps alot , thanks again
Thank you for the instruction -- only wish I'd watched it 60 years ago. The correct positioning of the arms/elbows and concentration on the shoulder blades has helped me improve form
