  • It’s a bit of a shame to see the Longines Master Calendar Chronograph get knocked out so early, it’s such a beautiful watch that provides so much complexity for such good value.

    • Curious as to what compliments you get and from who? Can you be more specific please. How many over what period of time? Is it the only watch you wear (if not how often do you wear it so the compliment frequency can be more accurate)?

    • It’s such a shame Longines did not fit the strap ends to the case better. It looks like an aftermarket strap, but they could have curved the ends and the white stitching to give a much better aesthetic IMO It also looks too matt for the watch (I have one on a bracelet and love it BTW) in the photo of the 42mm I just looked at. Matt blue with white stitching looks more ship than aircraft to me. A blue curved croc would have suited the watch much better maybe.

  • Good day, could anyone be kind enough to answer just a few question I have below about automatic watches ? Particularly the Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 When I first get the watch, or in the situation where the watch stops moving completely after days of not wearing, are we suppose to hand-wind the crown clockwise 10-15 times until the hands starts moving and then wear as normal ? Second question would be, is hand-winding the crown enough or should we actually shake the watch or not necessary ?

  • Hey Teddy, great series, would love to see more! But as the cost increases more and more it reaches a price range where people that have never handled such watches will end up voting for the “best” watch. As you know handling in person can completely make or break a watch. So, I would like to propose a series where the same price range tournaments are conducted BUT a separate one where only watch experts and KZheadrs vote! I would love to see the differences in rankings vs the general public.

  • Although I don't see the BB58 blue as hyped or posted on social media as much as when it came out in 2020, it's still a spectacular color. Even though both my Tudor ADs have a lot more stock now, I very rarely see the blue in the display. I would love to see the BB58 get some updates, such as a T-fit clasp. Personally, I not so secretly hope for an all blue Pelagos 39 or 41mm Black Bay METAS diver to be released at W&W this year. If so, it could be the first Tudor I buy.

For those who don't know: the T-fit clasp is their tool-free microadjustment system, similar to Rolex Glidelock, which Tudor previously only put on the Pelagos but just recently introduced (only) on the red-bezel Black Bay 58 but not any of the other Black Bay divers (why? no clue but I expect them to put it on the rest soon because, why wouldn't they?).

I’ve never heard you speak poorly about a brand, style or other dealer/creators. You have said at times that a brand or type of watch wouldn’t be a fit or a type would be for you. You always find positive mentions about the brand or model. In the last couple days, I’ve seen other “watch dealers/content creators” kind of hating on you for your success. They say they’re happy for you all while basically whining about KZhead and monetizing content. Then he goes on to speculate WHY you opened a brick and mortar store, “for your image.” I guess it rubbed me the wrong way because it appeared in my feed saying because I watch your content. So thank you for not being like that guy and always being professional and doing what you do. Congrats on the store!

I wish people would consider that with the voting. With all the tudors in the lead, you can tell people sometimes vote for what they *think* is supposed to win rather than really asking why that particular watch is special.

  • I just bought my first luxury watch in this price range. It was between BB58, Pelagos 39, IWC spitfire, GS sbgw231/235, and seiko sje093. The gilt on the BB was a deal breaker (and the commonality), the GS was not practical for my daily attire, the pelagos titanium dullness and mismatched lume hands bugged me, and the as beautiful as the IWC spitfire is it looked like an overpriced Hamilton mechanical. Ultimately chose the limited edition Seiko sje093 (62mas recreation). As a seiko lover I know others think it’s overpriced for a “seiko” but the level of quality is there and more in some ways. It’s also a bit more special in my eyes and coming from an spb143 which was my favorite watch, a definite upgrade. I still want the spitfire and or P39 in the future (hopefully they fix the lume hands). Buy what you love.

  • I agree with the end result. But more people owns the bb58 than the bb54, so I understand that might be the winner factor. Anyways, both are the best watches IMO at this price category.

  • I know it’s not the popular new kid on the block but the Aquis w/ the 400 calibre 400 with the green dial is such a head turning watch. The green just pops and it looks just as good if not better with the black rubber strap as the bracelet. I can’t help but think it would have done better in this color way.

    • The Aquis cal 400 fume green dial looks absolutely stunning in the flesh. The ceramic bezel insert is like a moss colour that perfectly matches the darker edge of the dial.

  • Tudor has some nice watches, but Longines is the only company that has so many references that appeal to me. The Conquest Chronograph and Spirit Zulu Time are on my wish list.

  • quite agree with the black bay 58 winning, i would of preferred the longines zulu in the final against the Tudor 58. the black bay 54 is just too small for me. the surprise of the bunch was the light blue dial seiko 34mm width is in the women's section

  • Sad to see the Longines Spirit Zulu go out. I love mine. Just wish i could get it back from service. Longines seems to have some QC struggles with things like bezel alignment. Great watch, but see it in person before putting down your money.

  • Weird thing is I like my (BB 58) , but It don't wear it more than other watches. I have a Presage that's prettier to look at, yet I can't part ways with the Tudor...I have mixed feelings about this, LoL Some watches you have to feel and see before you order them, an example is a two-tone gold and black Longines HydroConquest, never like it and when i saw it live and wore it, felt for it.

  • Fun tourney, but a few things I find interesting. -Tudor BB58 is also only UNDER 4k if off bracelet 🙂. So in this tournament, when voting, I'd take that into account. -Tudor Black Bay Pro also only gets below 4k if off the bracelet. On bracelet, it's like 4200. So I'd take that into account when voting as well. Also, I'd rather have the Longines Hodinkee Zulu Time that looks similar to the BB Pro but has better dimensions and is still $400 bucks cheaper than the BB Pro on bracelet.

  • Tudor watches are just soo hard to pass up. Excellent quality in terms of robustness and reliability. Then you get their in house-movements which are better than cosc (they officially state -2 to +4). You just can't go wrong with a tudor for the money.

  • Tudor BBs are very well constructed and visually agreeable watch, but is very midlevel to me personally in the looks department. Though it's a very safe choice when purchasing a watch it doesn't have ton of personality nor does it speak to me. There's such a wide array of watches under $4k I'd rather go off the beaten path. But that's make makes freedom of choice such a great thing.

  • The Tudor BB58 is just an amazing package. It wears incredibly well on wrist, checks the critical boxes for spec junkies, carries a touch of Rolex DNA, and is objectively an excellent design.
