Teddy has become the “Bob Ross” of the KZhead watch community. He shares his knowledge and passion in a soothing way and is just a happy space for any kind of watch enthusiast. Thanks for all these videos, Teddy!
Absolutely! Teddy makes the online watch space so great and welcoming with his thoughtful, soothing, and good-natured personality! What a gem
Teddy and Nico should do a collaboration. They're like two sides of the same coin.
for me the " bob Ross" of the KZhead watch community it's @WristwatchRevival ! but i understand your point ;^ ) :^ )
I'd love to see Teddy collab with the other watch "Bob Ross" Marshall/Wristwatch Revival!
Bob Ross? Not sure if that's a compliment.
As a person who's never spent more than $2,000 on a single timepiece, I love seeing this kind of video. It's always nice to see beautiful pieces like these for the price range I buy in
Same. I sometimes might find it interesting to see more expensive options but I'll likely never spend much more than $2k on a watch so all the Rolexes, APs, Pateks and Zeniths, don't even hold my interest very much.
Target marketing at it’s finest. Teddy knows most of us ain’t big ballers spending 10k on a watch
I would be the same way. My uncle was a watch dealer and it pulled me in deep when I was young. Most people are just like you when it comes to watches. Less than 1% of the population buys watches that are multiple thousands of dollars. Lol. You are better off staying at 2000 dollars and less. Tons of great watches at that price point.
ok boomer
@NSADirector bro I'm 25
This was an amazing video. Please do more of these in the future! I work from home and I have been having a hard time picking a everyday watch that could work for me while working remote. I also sometimes need to go into the office every now and then and you covered that as well!
These are my favourite types of videos you do Teddy. I’ve got some of these watches thanks to your informative channel. Keep up the great work
I got the Ice Blue Presage back in the day when the cocktails came out (not least because of Teddy) and I am still a happy buyer: it takes kindly to all strap changes (which it needs) and it gets a lot of wrist-time despite the harsh competition...
I have one of those 1938 Tissots. In four years and dozens of flips it’s one of the very best watches I’ve found, and looks vintage military on a nato too, so is proving more everyday versatile than I expected!
Just love you and your videos so much, Teddy! One of fav things to do in my mornings is to savour a hot cup of coffee and enjoy one of your lovely videos . Just sets the day right for me
I love your channel Teddy, I always come back to check for my next watch. Thanks for your committment.
Might have to pick up that marathon just for the fact that I live in San Antonio where Kelly AFB is located. Teddy, your knowledge of everything watches never ceases to amaze ! Great video, keep up the awesome work, my friend.
Teddy - you are so great at these type of reviews
Great way to start the day. Congratulations Teddy, creeping up on 1M!
The hamilton murph is going to be a classic in a few years. It feels like a Rolex Explorer in the wrist but its arguably more elegant. A true beauty
I love it, I just can't get pass the seconds hand, why wouldn't the go for the Seiko Alpinst-like and keep it cathedral? Seems off to me, but I love everything about it!! Looks gorgeous!
@@GerardoVillarreal1101 the seconds hand is very cool in the 40mm version. It has "eureka" engraved in morse code. Probably on of the coolest easter eggs found in a watch
Yeah, that's a pretty neat detail. I mean, the one in the movie didn't have it, so the 38mm version is more accurate un that sense. ANnyway, I'm getting one eventualy, is just so mesmerizing to look at! @@dangarvire
Fugu has been on the market since 2018.
I can assure you that it does not feel like an explorer in the wrist. To compare the two is absurd.
The Unimatic is distinctive and absolutely gorgeous to my eyes. Really appreciate this kind of vid, Teddy - thank you.
Nice one, Teddy! Great vid!
G-Shock is a watch I wore when in the Army, I think I over extended the capabilities, it was definitively tested to the max. Highly recommended for extreme conditions.
Good recommendations for us hands on guys!
good work teddy as always!
I work in an automotive manufacturer and I have worn my "Ice Blue" PRX everyday for the past 7 months and couldn't be happier. It's always comfortable and it with stands the gauntlet I put it through, it's definitely scratched up and that makes me love it more. I bought it to wear everyday, and I'm going to continue doing that!
Until it comes to an end and you have to dispose of it. Game over. Enjoy it while you can.
@@amgolfer3591 why will it come to and end? to destroy a watch completly u need to smash it with an hammer lol
@@user-hz8uq7cw7i did I use the word destroy? 👍😂 Hammer away, user.
Great video. The Casio Oceanus is a great line that doesn't get alot of love on the channel but the S100 would be a great candidate for the business casual category
Seiko Presage is the best option by the money you pay... Green dial is my favorite... Elegance and style. Thanks for the video...and continue in the excellent way.
Terrific video Great content !!
Great picks respect 👌
These are great picks. Other great options that come to mind would be the Fortitude Pro or Fortitude Lite by Astor+Banks.
Very informative video again thanks bro…👏👍💪❤️❤️❤️
I wear my Murph 38 daily at the Office since a monte after its release and I love it every single day. Amazing beautiful watch
The SNE585 is an outstanding every day watch. Solar quartz accuracy and reliability, wonderfully wearable case, great looks… you can’t go wrong with that watch. I sold mine only because I intend to pick up the black version instead. I’m a little bit neurotic about matching 😅
I am always enjoying your videos. You are full of knowledge and charm. A question if I may: are there any GMT watches with day&date function?
I have the G-Shock you featured and it's indestructible -- and a favorite among US Army and USMC troops -- because it's indestructible and smaller than most other G-Shocks, fitting under uniform sleeves easier -- plus it is charged by light and syncs with radio time signals. It's my "beater" watch. The Sternglas has a "Bauhaus" vibe to it.
This is a great video, and something I’ve been looking for an answer to. I work primarily in my woodshop, and my speedy is a little out of place and at risk there. Most days I wear a Casio digital, but I meet clients throughout the week and I want something rugged, but still nice to look at. I’ve been eyeing some of the Hamilton khakis, but find that their 38mm is a little small for my wrists. Would love to see a longer video on watches for more field work, something for work that’s not in the office. Love the content!
Great video thanks!
I’ve got the green seiko solar diver… absolutely love it.
I have the SSK in orange and its beautiful, the orange glows so nice in sun and the bezel is like half silver when under light.. Honestly more versatile than you'd think just works more with solid colours and outfits without patterns.
I feel that the seiko srpe53 aka the dresskx deserves to be in the business casual category. An easy swap with of straps really do make the watch somewhat 'dressy'
Same for the marathon stainless steel navigator. Swap out the nylon for leather
I work from home and what I find good and necessary is a GMT and in terms of colors, what I enjoy is a watch that matches my pajamas and sometimes I need to join a zoom call and even put on a shirt, so I prefer something with dark or muted colors.
Like to thank you,Teddy, for putting in the hours and coming up with some great reviews and advice.Nice to see you put forward some daily runners.Liked the Lorier and the Unimatic and still feel that Longines and Oris are excellent timepieces and affordable. Not quite under the $1,000 range but great value still and recognised as beginning of Luxxury along with Tudor and Omega.Thank you again for putting in the time for us all.
I have a Tissot Gentleman in blue dial… I love it, but that Glacier dial is GORGEOUS.
That Lorier Hydra looks pretty cool. Not a hipster by a long shot, but interesting design. And yes GMT/World time is a must for Work From Home. Fwiw I picked up a G-shock GW-7900 a couple years ago, primarily for GMT (+solar +atomic +moon +tides) and surprised how it doesn't wear as large as you'd think. Wears very comfortably although the strap does pinch a little sometimes.
Nice to see the Marathon steel navigator make the list. I just bought one and replaced the nylon strap with black leather. It can go nicely as a dressy watch
Interesting spin on the old „watches for different personas“-video I always enjoyed
Great video! As a medical student, I’d LOVE to see something like this for different types of doctors. With such different working conditions (and stereotypes) associated with every specialty, I could see a different watch representing an ER doc, surgeon, hospitalist, cardiologist, pediatrician, or family practitioner. And that’s just the beginning - there are tons of different internal medicine and surgical subspecialties that all have different looking days and their own set of stereotypes. If this works, I could see engineers or lawyers getting a similar level of enjoyment too! Feel free to reach out for more & keep up the awesome work!
Rolex is very popular in the medical field.
I agree with the above comment, though pretty sure it's almost entirely as a status symbol - "I'm an attending, I made it, I'm getting a Rolex". I have too many watches, but my work watches (prehospital medicine, critical care, flight, occasionally ICU or ER, austere, remote), are usually either a G-Shock or a Tudor Black Bay 58; I want something super tough, everything-proof enough that I can hit it with a faucet, hot water, and/or PDI wipes to clear whatever fluids or substances off. I also need something visible in the dark (backlit G-Shock, great lume on the Tudor), and a way to time intervals (timer on the former, dive bezel on the latter). If you wear mechanical and want a genuinely useful tool, I'd propose something VERY environment/fluid proof, and a way to time things (diver or chrono). All that said, if you entirely work in a clinic or office, and haven't seen blood since med school....dress watch, all day. Something elegant, in yellow or rose gold, on a leather strap.
@@LazerAxelman I agree
@@LazerAxelman I largely agree for hospital work. An explorer 1 works well there too. I tend towards dressier watches in private practice with a suit but my major requirement is a 3 hander style so I can count seconds easily.
@@tyarnold4088I have been in the field for nearly 18 years and had the privilege of working with over 30 docs during my tenure thanks to an amazing fellowship program I was part of and only one wore a Rolex. Several had Omegas, etc. I have had also been to many case study groups and dinners and I hardly saw any docs wearing a Rolex. Yep, I looked at the wrist constantly and was pleasantly surprised to find way more affordable options on their wrists.
Don't forget the Tandorio Titanium watches with the NH-35 movement. They can be had for around 80-100 dollars. Water resistant to 600 ft., screw down crown and back, sapphire crystal, etc. They are excellent watches for the work environment or just every day wear. I have two of them and LOVE them..!!!
Great content Teddy. You’re becoming the standard bearer. I’ll only buy my next grail watch, The Tentagrapph, from you
Teddy, I've been a subscriber since the earliest days of your channel, and on your recommendation, I got the Orient Bambino as my first automatic watch several years ago. I happen to be wearing it as I watch this video. The movement is reliable (it's outlasted my Seiko Alpinist) and the domed crystal makes it look ritzier than its price would suggest - super great value, as you've stated many times. Besides the Orient, my picks from your sub-$1000 list would be: Hamilton Khaki "Murph", especially now in the smaller 38mm; Tissot Gentleman; and Tissot Heritage 1938. Great stuff, always appreciate your videos.
Thanks for this video and I love all of your quality content, but I'd love to see you give Certina some more love as they offer excellent value for money and usually sit below $1000, with amazing quality (way above most Tissots if you ask me). Their entire lineup is quite stunning and deserves more coverage and love. Really hoping to see some Certina content from you in the near future, you're one of my favorite Watch industry youtubers.
I have a Presage as a dress watch - it’s a stunner. I want to love the Murph but I like my work watches to have at least a date complication. My current work casual is a Citizen Promaster. Absolutely love it and so legible.
Nice selection thank you. the Hamilton Navy pioneer Small second definitely need to be on this list
Seiko pre-Presage Cocktail in blue for me! Just love it.
I work in an office and wear a fairly gigantic Citizen Ecodrive Promaster. I prefer smaller watches myself, but it's earned me a few compliments.
Would love to see a part 2 video on the best watches to wear for healthcare workers.😊 love the Murph watch btw.
Excellent video as usual, Teddy. Unfortunately, many people have no sense of decorum as it relates to what they wear and personal grooming.
Great video Teddy. I was wondering, with the holidays quickly approaching do you have an updated video for recommendations for the women in our lives? I know a lot about men’s watches but very little about women’s 😅
Классное видео! Часы тоже замечательные, особенно orient bambino как отдельный вид искусства!
I can't get enough of my Jetstar. Put it on, no setting, smooth sweep, super comfortable and reserved in sizing. Even the bracelet isn't half bad. I don't know why Bulova doesn't use this movement everywhere in their mid-range watches.
Same here, Got the red one shown as is good for formal attire and got the gold one on the brown leather strap as it is perfect for casual wear with it's 70s retro vibes. Also got the Sea King 300M as it also has the same precisionist movement and would be perfect for the first category.
Citizen garrison on a cloth strap - for the multipurpose watch. Solar titanium and day date - super easy to read lumed dial
I bought my watches from watching your informative videos. One suggestion though, can you also tell us your jackets/overshirts? That’s a great one in black & yellow. Your other waxed jacket also are nice. Gotta style these watches with something good as well.
Worn my seiko solar diver as my daily for a year now, on elastic, silicon, different grades of leather, and now on a bracelet with solid end links from Mark Watch dosn't get old, just love it more with time. It does cause my mechanical watches to collect some dust, but its not too bad, means I keep the mechanical watches for the situation where they get no shocks, magnetising other harm, effecting how they run, and then I enjoy them more when I do wesr them. So my solar diver keeping them healthy, while being my perfect watch!
Teddy creating value left and right.
The Tissot Chronometer reminds me of Jimmy Stewart’s Tissot in Rear Window. Really like it. A war photographer’s watch.
I bought the green Seiko SNE prospex 38.5mm and I immediately swapped the OEM bracelet for the Uncle Seiko Oyster. Its the perfect grab and go diver for work and travel.
Some of your best work! Gonna get the Bulova.
I would love to see a video outlining some of the best watches with cathedral hands like the murph has. I have a WWII era Hamilton with cathedral hands that I adore but would love to see what some of the other best watches with cathedral hands are.
Date complication is a must for most people. I check the date more than the time some days.
there's something really entertaining about Teddy every time Teddy includes a section to take a dig at hipster collectors
I have the Tissot Seastar 1000 Chronograph in Green and love it so much for wearing it for the office
I’m glad KZhead has a Teddy 🙏🏽
I love my Tissot Chemin Des Tourelles Powermatic 80 39mm Blue on Leather Strap, it's easy to dress up or down :)
I have a murph 38mm, my first automatic watch and I love it
I LOVE the shade of yellow chosen for the new colorway on the seiko gmt. I just do not think I can really pull it off and I already have the blue and black one so it’s hard to justify buying another just because it’s my favorite color
Teddy, My thanks to you for introducing me to RGM! I purchased the baseball watch. In dealing with Roland, I was able to customize the baseball watch to my liking. I really enjoy you videos and watch insights. Next time I am in Cleveland perhaps you will join me at a baseball game. Cheers, Steve Glennan
Because of your channel, I purchased the Seiko GMT SSK017 from your website and it is def. my fav watch. So comfy on the wrist but the harvest gold dial matches my animated personality. My fav pickleball match play watch. I always wanted to be cool enough to work in a record store. hahahaha
I love your videos, I have a prx and love the watch but I also enjoy watching other beautiful watches and mabey one day I can buy one of these
I have that exact G-Shock as my work watch. Fantastic!
Another great video. I will add my 2 cents. For a do-it-all all-watch, I would add to that list many watches from Traska or Astor & Bank. They offer great watches for the price.
My experience: got a SARY179 cocktail time and was disappointed. The dial was cool but the thickness was still large even with the 38mm diameter. It was also running close to a minute slow even after wearing a few days
Thanks for considering WFH!
Love that shirt Teddy
Being an habitué of formal dressing, I usually wear an Hamilton Intra-matic 38 mm.
I have an expensive watch but I'm really like the look of some of the citizens and I love the idea of the light powered eco drive
Great compilation. Thanks👍🫡
I work in multi purpose and hands on and daily wear a Tissot PRX Powermatic80 40mm glacial blue dial or a Luminox Leatherback Sea Turtle Giant
I wore my Oris Aquis everyday for about 5 years awesome watch. Added a few more but love my Casio DW5600-1 I might add the Doxa as I have a Seiko 5 limited edition. I do need a GMT might get Seiko GMT as well.
Im a surveyor in canadas northern oil and gas fields, i generally wear a citizen tough and couldnt be happier. Good looks and tough as nails
good picks I like it
You see Teddy... This is why you're such a classy guy.... "If you see this video several years from now, don't get mad at me if the prices have changed....". I would have seriously clever and insulting responses to anyone who got upset with something like that... Fantastic video. I agreed with most of your choices. Though maybe my idea of business casual is a bit more formal because I want that beautiful Seiko Presage with a leather strap. I tried it on a few weeks ago and absolutely loved it. Though I also see it in casual environments too. It would go with just about anything. Maybe before the end of the year. When I saw the Sternglas I immediately thought of Junglas... And for roughly half the price too. I seriously love the style of Junglas but if I was someone who couldn't or didn't want to spend the money, this looks like an awesome alternative. I think it's a serious, modern dress watch. I see this with a black suit/tie and white shirt. Very New York'er. Well done Teddy and Team! Happy Holidays!
Got that Seiko solar diver bang on! I've destroyed multiple watches in my work and can't stand g-shock and Seiko hasn't missed a beat. Barely even a scratch on it! Great choice
The most relevant video to me as a hipster who sometimes works from home and sometimes commutes to a business casual office lol I hadn't thought that much about what I wear while at home, just whatever's most comfortable, but you made me realize that's my chance to wear the more fun ones!
Love the watch content, but I gotta ask where did you get that jacket? It is slick.
That TISSOT in salmon color with COSC its a thing of beauty
Love the Unimatic, totally original design
Great video. Would be cool to get the same also for 2500, 5000 and 10,000$ price points!
A Damasko DS30 is the perfect work watch. Go anywhere, do anything. Dress it up or dress it down. Indestructible German submarine steel case, near impossible to scratch, 200 m water resistance, screw down crown with patented crown seal system. ETA2824 Top grade movement super legible sector dial with Superluminova applied on all markings and hands. 39mm case diameter, 9.8mm case thickness. It can be purchased for $986. Mine runs -1/+1 sec. per day. It is a winner above all!
Those Sternglas divers always caught my eye.
That Bulova is really interesting. I wish they’d use that movement in more watches instead of the unidirectional Miyotas
Cant decide between Hamilton khaki Murph and Tissot Heritage! Both beatiful watches!
What size is your wrist? If you have a larger wrist I would recommend either (1) Hamilton Khaki Field 42mm titanium blue dial with either brown leather strap or titanium bracelet or (2) Tissot Gentleman green or blue dial. These are great watch for
My pick for work watches: Original Tag Heuer 1000, Bulova Marine Star, Bulova Frank Lloyd Wright Series, Seiko Alpinist
For an everyday watch the Hamilton Murph is going to take some beating, but if you are going more dressy, thatt Tissot 1838 is beautiful.
Frederique Constant Classics Collection are good Option Under 1000$ and Upto 1500$ also .
I’m a robotic field service tech, I fly around the world and install/maintain robotic equipment. I wear my Seiko MarineMaster and my Turtle to some pretty wild environments and work long hours with them.
Nice shirt. A work watch needs day and date for me.
I daily a tag formula one. It's a bit over the price point but is a great daily.
