    • Yup.. Putin is DESPERATE AND WANTS TO END THIS FAST. 300,000 is actually more like 1.2 million. He risked a 'partial mobilization' to avoid a CLEAR LOSS [even if chaos and being toppled is a risk]. He's threatening nukes for MONTHS NOW. How do you make sure he won't use nukes? by letting him and his cronies know EXACTLY WHAT'S THE RESPONSE - THE EXACT SAME THING.

    • This General is a fool. Putin would have walked all over Ukraine if Trump had not sent them the military supply's they needed before the war ever broke out. unlike Obummer that sent blankets and food rations. The Ukrainians survived long enough off of what trump sent to last until Europe and NATO got involved and the rest of the world pitched in to help.

  • The general is right. You don’t win/end wars by using ‘half measures’ to avoid ‘provoking’ the enemy. You expose and exploit weaknesses or gaps in the enemy and you attack those points with overwhelming force and drive home. Behind the scenes you deliver messages (3rd party) to convince the enemy it’s not in their best interest to continue the fight. But unless those messages are backed up by full-throttle performance on the battlefield they will ring hollow

    • I totally agree w/Gen. Clark and have been saying the same thing myself for months. I am so frustrated to see how the US and so many other nations are still tip toeing around Putin for fear of upsetting him. What has that stance accomplished to date? If only they had given all that the Ukrainians needed from the very beginning this war might well be over by now, or at least very much closer to a win for Ukraine.

    • To play devil's advocate. Russian training is shit, and their equipment is arguably worse at this point. Don't be fooled by their parades and staged demonstrations, they are terrible, their command and control is perhaps the worst of all. Because of their own dumb propaganda strategy the troops could not talk to each other about what was going on, so generals were going to the front lines and were killed. But yeah, it may be better to speed up putting the Russians on retreat. Despite all that I said, it doesn't take too much brainpower for them to just shell Ukraine with dumb munitions. I think we should give them the long range stuff. Yeah Putin will bitch and cry about them being able to reach into Russia, but at this point he's just a manbaby throwing a tantrum. When he did nothing about the two helicopters flying into Russia and destroying fuel silos it showed he's all bark, with a pathetic bite. If he is stupid enough to go nuclear that is a suicidal tactic for himself and Russia as a whole. The country will basically be scrubbed from history as a disgusting remnant of the old barbaric tribalistic world, led by a monkey of a man. Most of their nukes are very likely inoperable by now, they are extremely expensive and precise weapons, the US spends millions on each of them for maintenance and we already saw Russia's truck's tires simply disintegrating from lack of care.

Russia wants Odessa and Kharkov that are Russian speaking cities. If Russia secedes at taking these cities back, Poland says it has every right to annex Western Ukraine which was part of the Polish/Lithuanian Empire anyway.

  • Legit question: what’s to stop the Muscovites from turning on their CO and just surrendering? I mean yes it’s 10 years in jail in Russia but they can just go through Ukraine to Poland or Germany something and meet their family there. I am just saying it seems like giving someone a choice between turning traitor and serving as canon fodder isn’t a good strategy.
