Piers Morgan is joined by professional boxer Conor Benn for an exclusive interview discussing the controversial failing of his drugs test before the highly anticipated fight against Chris Eubank Jr.

That comment of suing the lab, was on the fly. There's no talk of suing the lab. I've been watching a Wada webinar 🤓 and Conor's claims are seemingly less credible then even I first thought. It's a lot more complex and not just a case of sticking a dipstick into test pot A and seeing if it's positive or negative. First there's not one analytical method that fits all prohibited substances. So a lab will distribute the sample into subsamples that are called electrodes so that they can cover the full menu of prohibited substances.
What he's saying is that the contamination was probably down to human error. However, once that mistake was made the lab tried to cover their tracks by concealing information. So two statements can legitimately be used
He also said his first thoughts were that it may be contaminated which is reasonable
Failing a drug test is a great way to avoid fighting someone you know will beat you, while still saving face and avoiding a humiliating beating.

The WBC use them for every top fighter in the world, in order to be able to enter their top 15 rankings, so Connor was always going to get tested by them in order to step up. Saying 'but he passed UKAD' is like saying he could get away with using a substance because UKAD are incompetent in boxing, which of course they are in drug testing. They're known for missing crucial steroid drugs.

If the board don't recognise VADA, what's the point in the clean boxing programme for UK fighters? When they can fail consecutive tests and still get sanctioned to fight... The BBBofC have nothing to do with the investigation. UKAD and the WBC conducted interviews. WBC received the dossier, and UKAD couldn't comment on an ongoing investigation.
Or it could just be, that he thinks the BBBOC stitched him up, and he dosnt need them..... so why give them anything.... But i do think at the earliest time he can legally.... Him or his legal team need to come out with a detailed statement of all the findings and what EXACTLY makes him innocent. It cant just be left with the WBC saying his innocent... He HAS to prove it. I think it says it all that Benn chose to be interviewed by Piers rather than a sports journalist. Piers clearly didn’t know the full facts of the case, and while I appreciated some of the questioning, he didn’t go far enough. Not to mention that Chris Eubank Jr barely got a mention. Had this fight gone ahead then it could have been more dangerous than we originally thought.

The thing is, his dad Nigel Benn fainted after the McKlellen fight, which meant Nigel managed to avoid a drugs test after the fight. McKlellen was left with brain damage after that fight. He dodged that test, and we all know why.

McClellan was the pound for pound best at the time, a heavy hitter with a huge knock out ratio. In round one, he put Nigel through the ropes. He put Nigel down a second time. Maybe an accidental clash of heads caused the devastating injury, or the fact that Nigel too punched like a jack hammer. But in the minds of the righteous like you, he must have been juiced up. You know nothing about the man, his upbringing, his personal issues, his own fight against his own demons, yet you, being so righteous, quickly condemn. Nigel admits to drug taking outside of the ring. He admits to the errors that cost him his first marriage, he admits that those serious consequences almost cost him his life. Benn blocked me on Instagram for doing a youtube video about him! Having watched this interview I have to say I really don't believe him whatsoever. He basically vented and gave no real insights or evidence about the case. Clearly, he wants people to feel sorry for him. His defence is im 26 why do I need a test boost, terrible defence. Clomifene raising testosterone by 50% would be in men with extremely low testosterone and have medical issue. Conor would use after a testosterone cycle to re start his HTPA and get his natural production back. Or during Testosterone use to help keep FSH and LH levels high for two reasons. One being to keep him fertile and secondly to hide the signs of doping in a hormone panel test.

Something ain't right here, give the lad some mercy. Most Guilty people would have cracked already, he's so passionate about this sport it's installed from young by his father. Everyone is saying he's guilty before proven guilty.
He didn't articulate his reasons for nor giving the BBBC the dossier well but I believe his reason is double jeopardy and he does have a point. The BBBC has latched onto two failed tests mandated by the WBC (the most respected world title sanctioning organisation, based in Mexico) as part of his WBC ranking. The BBBC had their own separate process for licensing this fight, with their own tests that Conor passed (and in fact Conor is using them as evidence of lab contamination in the WBC tests). The BBBC are not involved in the WBC ranking testing, they latched onto it via the media and basically withdrew their licensing of the fight based on the WBC process. Now that Conor has been tried and cleared by the WBC the logical step is for the BBBC to accept the verdict (after all the failed tests were part of the WBC process). But instead they insist on reviewing the evidence themselves and giving their own verdict, effectively holding a second trial for the same offence. That is could be termed unfair - imagine being prosecuted for murder in Mexico by a Mexican court, being cleared and then being told by a UK court they need to review the evidence and issue their own verdict. Moreover, Conor has implied he doesn't trust the impartiality of the BBBC. Given that the BBBC would be essentially prosecutor, judge and jury if he has the slightest doubt about bias he'd be a fool to submit himself to a trial by them given the potentially catastrophic consequences. He's already been cleared, he can get on with his career in the USA or wherever. The BBBC are a minor annoyance. He can sue them at leisure and i reckon he might have a fair chance of winning and being reinstated.
This interview only confirmed his guilt as far as I’m concerned.

I loved Conor’s Dad boxing he was one of my all time favourites and when Conor came around I started following his fights even going to a few of them but I will never put any time in going to any of his fights again. i am convinced he is guilty and I want this sport I love to be a clean sport. I hope Conor can find away to get clean and not depend on drugs but I won’t be following his progress anymore. As he said in his own words take drugs in sport you should be banned for life.

What we want is a conclusion to it with a true understanding of what happened. That's why people are frustrated.
