    • Exactly. Anyone can inherit a business but not everyone can turn it into a bigger success like how Hearn has. He gets a lot of unnecessary hate and I see a lot of KZheadrs and personalities like SJ try to downplay him with the angle about his dad giving him Matchroom - I’m very objective but people who say that just come across as salty haters.

    • Yeah, I noticed that as well. Whenever Simon started to talk, he felt the need to throw in a few barbs against Eddie before getting to his point. He also continually tried to talk over Eddie when Eddie was speaking. Jim was always going to be in a tough place as facilitator, but I think he could have done a lot better in closing Simon down when Eddie was talking. My take from this exchange was that Eddie came out better. Going into it I thought Simon might come out on top, but from what I saw it was clear that Eddie wasn't going to allow Simon to bully him the way that Simon often does to others.

Everyone made mistakes regarding this whole situation but at this point I think the best thing for Mr benn to do is to sit in front of the board present all the evidence and come to some sort of resolution because its not just gonna go away. • Whether you like Eddie or not, it's a fact, that Simon hates him and Matchroom. I like both Eddie and Simon myself, but Simon was almost sneering and growling getting some of his words out lol, and you can see the hate coming through. Simons new podcast UP FRONT is brilliant. That would be a great guest to have on it. He's already had Frank Warren on, but Frank is his mate and hates Eddie Hearn the most, now Eddie has replaced Frank Warren as the biggest British promoter, that's where a lot of the dislike Simon has for Eddie comes from. The strange thing is, both Simon and Eddie are very alike, so there might be a bit of jealousy and a lot of showing who can use the most big words from their private school education 😂😂

  • I think both sides came out pretty good here. Anyone who thinks Hearn 'won' must be watching a different interview. Hearn is good at keeping his cool, but Simon made some great points. Hearn is answering every question from a business standpoint. It would be interesting to know if he really does think Benn is innocent. I'm not too sure. I think he's guilty, 100 percent.

  • I have to say that Eddie Hearn has the patience of a Saint. He exhibited class, he was a gentleman throughout and showed an enormous amount of restraint. Especially when Simon Jordan was unnecessarily and consistently insulting him on a personal level! I'm ashamed to say.... Id have lost the plot within the first 10 minutes ..leaping the table, one hand violently assaulting Jordan with his own microphone....whilst at the same time wrapping the microphone lead around his neck, strangling him to death with my other hand 😂

    • If you only watched this interview, and didn't take time to look into the situation and see all the things that dont make sense, then I'd agree you are right. But, after paying attention and comparing the facts out in the public and information Eddie was sharing, there quite a few things that dont add up. Specifically referencing testing samples, and a couple of procedures incorporating the BBBC and their ability to regulate the fight. That said, Simon realized that what hes being told by many other in the business has not matched up. I do think that Simon just thought Eddie was trying to take the piss on them and instead of being the bigger man and better explaining his points, shut off and stopped listening and providing structured thought due to thinking in his mind he wont get anywhere with the man in front of him.
