That ability is the ability to say “Fuck”. Saying “Fuck” allows the parrot to deal heavy psychological damage to its opponents, and boosts its intimidation by a massive percentage.

    • @@rubyy.7374 I mean... you could always die in a horrible car accident next week, or be squashed by a piano falling off a crane. So, no matter what the lifespan of your pet is, you can never guarantee to be able to provide life-long stability for them. But sure, getting a long-lived parrot is quite a bit more of a long-term responsibility than getting a pet rat, so it definitely shouldn't be done willy-nilly without thinking it through.

    • Not a bad pet if you can ensure the high needs are met. Need to dedicate the time for socialization, entertainment, etc of a high intelligence pet. Plus the longevity is a factor most forget. For dedicated owners, they're great. For the average pet owner, parrots are some of the worst. Not enough socialization can cause them to go insane or develop psychological problems. Neglect is a common problem for house parrots. Then the long life makes the owner eventually give them up to a parrot sanctuary or something. Great familiars with a good human. But humans let them down too often to recommend

If a generation of crows deem a specific human player a threat later generations will still remember and continue to view that specific player as a threat even though all the players from the generation before have left the game. Full size white cockatoos are the the loudest birds in the world, with a mollucan once hitting 135dB (that's over twice as loud as the world record loudest human scream). When she screams for fun, you can hear it anywhere in the house. I thought I'd heard her at full volume. I was wrong. One day my elderly mother was with her, and she fell and hurt herself. The 'too was smart enough to realize she needed help, so she screamed for help at max power. Sweet Christ. It was, without exaggeration, like an air raid siren. • In Cologne, Germany, some parrots actually managed to break out of the zoo two years ago. Human players were not able to recatch them, so they have bred until Cologne has become their main server. People are very happy about it. Another Fun Fact: An alligator named Saturn broke out of the zoo during WWII in Berlin and managed to survive through the war for three years. It was found by Russians, who brought it to Russia. It died there on Saturday, the 16th of May in 2020 with an age of 84 years.

  • Now this is an interesting point "A good top tier should be specced to thrive in one setting but can adapt to changes in the meta" I find this interesting because most humans or horribly ill equiped to handle any biome except city. Throw a human without the proper wilderness survival perks or gear into the wrong server? And they game over in days or get rescued. In fact I'd argue that they are horrible at adapting to any biome other than city, but as a species have the unique combination of traits to simply build new biomes over pre existing ones. A good top tier adapts to new environments A great top tier literally builds their own.

  • In my childhood, I had a friend that had a parrot. His mother was always yelling his name at him from downstairs in a very large and open house, so it echoed across the entirety of it. My friend would just shout back "WHAT?" to see if he's in trouble or if she's just checking in on him or calling him for breakfast/lunch/dinner or a favour. The parrot started yelling "WHAT?" whenever my friend's name was spoke. His parents started using the nickname he had from school to address him for about a year to avoid the parrot yelling, and quit the yelling at their kid across a huge house to talk to eachother.
