Logitech G305 Review - Basically a G Pro Wireless for 2.5 TIMES LESS!
I was basically forced to use the Logitech G305 Lightspeed Wireless for a month. During that time, it performed just like my G Pro Wireless which costs 2.5 times more. There are negatives to this mouse, but the positives outweigh the negatives by far making this one of the best wireless mice choices you can get for the price.

lets be honest...his wife just wanted his G pro wireless from the start...she just said a 'white mouse' to cover up
@crummyy crummyy 2 days ago I don't think you can mispronounce words that badly if it's not a second language. That said, is it racist if I say some people's accents are annoying when thick?
@crummyy lol

Yeah, the M65 is definitely a nice sturdy mouse. If they make a wireless m65 and I'm back to using one.
If i do not have Bluetooth on my pc can i still use the g305 ? With the usb wireless receiver ?
basically a G pro wireless and literally a G pro wired, but wireless.
And it's like a g203 lightsync but wireless? Bro I've used a g300s for like 3 years and just got this and as usual Logitech shit confusing and their software dogwater but yet i also want the g502 hero white wired. Thoughts? Planning to use the G305 for school etc

U can actually get the weight down to around 80g by changing the battery to a lithium triple A battery and use plastic adapter or tin foil
They also have honeycpmb shell designs for 3d printing or even for sale online for this mouse
I use it with a lithium AAA connected by a tinfoil without the back cover. I play claw so I don't touch the back anyway. At 72g it's an insane mouse.
@@lime4 id be terrified of touching it hahaha
@@jayjaygolden5123 I have larger than average hands, and using claw your palm doesn't even touch the back. Just that 8g difference is huge to my aim for whatever reason. It feels same to me comfort wise. I use it without the back for gaming, and put it back on for everything else.

This is the best review of this mouse yet and directly answered all my questions. You also went into the background and context of your use cases and decision making to help me understand what your situation was. This greatly increased my confidence that this was the right mouse for me. Thanks! Gets here in a few days and I can't wait.
i love how straight forward that intro was. subscribed...(mentioning the spoiler alert part)
FINALLY AFTER SEARCHING FOR THE CONCLUSION I FINALLY FOUND IT IN YOUR CHANNEL, Thank You Very Much~
i'll def. recommend this mouse to people with a tight budget.
i dont have a tight budget and prefer this over the gpro wireless and G703 the size is perfect sometimes money price isnt everything
@@sl-fu3uh Get the Razer Viper Ultimate, so amazing.
@@moejoegaming9838 not for all people tho, i tried both and i can say that the razer viper ultimate is really uncomfortable for my hands meanwhile the gpro feels much more comfortable

I have one and I've never seen it covered on here. I thought it was underwhelming, its been sitting in a drawer. I may need to revisit it thanks to this review.

remember everyone, everything is all personal preference in the peripherals market -- there really isn't the best, I'm not saying your wrong Bijan - i just wanted people to know. ( well they prob already know)
I agree. And that’s something I’ll exclaim more in future reviews.
To some extent yeah But youll be hard pressed to find someone that wouldnt like a lighter mouse onve they got to experience a lightweight mousr with a shape and size good for them. Shape > size > cable+weight > sensor + other tech specs > buttons
while that is true, as a reviewer, he can't accomodate for your preference and tell you what you're gonna prefer, he can tell you the facts about each mice those, which is what he should do.
@@worm6820 I guess im naive for assuming everyone assumes/is aware that one person's favorite mouse only has a chance of being your favorite mouse if this person likes the same features and shape in their mice as you do.

@@Senchronize Already fixed that problem with the last video. :) Finally figured out how to do it without increasing background noise.
Just ordered this bad boy in blue since white is sold out great video !! I hope the shape isnt to diffrent from my wired version
Thanks for this review, was LEGIT really informative and simple.
I got the G502 and I have to say, the weight was a little heavy at first, but I got used to it and now I absolutely love it, I came from the Logitech G Pro wired which was way too small for my hand.
Nothing can replace all those extra bottoms from the 502 and macro ability around any of them, including side-scroll... Many issues like bad cable (can be easily replace), fragile plastic that brake on the sides (you can buy a new one for that worst scenario), double click issues (require full disassemble and clean around contacts or full replace of switches)...Even after all that still there is no better replace for how good the design itself is for casual players. At this point I only imagine Logitech new version been the only possible replace. Competitive FPS = Low Weight but for everything else you do need a 502 or something close at least.
First video I’ve seen from you. It was recommended to me but have to say very good review and professional 👍
Thank you! 😁
I have the g 502 mouse with the added weight it comes with. Heavier mouse with low sense makes you super precise
Great vid! very professional :)
same thoughts as your girlfriend, the dimensions is similar to the g102 which ive had for 6 months and looked to get the razer viper ultimate once ive saved enough. Since the switch, I can never go back to the g102 as it forced me to play with my fingers around resulting in a less consistent and impulsive sort of aim, where with a palm grip of the razer viper I'm much more smoother as a result
just about to order one! it was my birthday during our lockdown here in south africa and as of today shipping is open again. been saving up for the gpw, but my dad didn't know what to get for me, so i figured i'd give this a go and eventually upgrade to the gpw in the future. who knows, might even like this enough to keep the gpw on hold :)
Good to hear! Let me know how you enjoy it when you receive it.
@@BijanJamshidi hey bijan, just wanna say thanks so much for this review! my 305 arrived in the post today, spent the last 7 hours testing it in R6S and Apex Legends... and let me just say: "HOLY..." my aim is like night and day now😳 this mouse is insaaane for the price! used my friends g603 quiet a few times, but i actually prefer this. tbh, i've always preferred bigger mice for the comfort, but i also prefer smaller mice for the weight, but this has it all. it's really light with a lithium battery, it's smaller than i expected but it just fits my hand so perfectly... like PERFECTLY. such an underrated shape. thanks again bro, keep well! looking forward to your future videos⚡
I’m glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for the support 😀
The OG G Pro is this shape. GPW has a different shape from the wired G Pro. In conclusion this is the real G Pro wireless.
i loved this mouse and would continue to use it if it wasn't so small it gave me hand cramps.
I returned my G pro wireless and decided to keep the g305. I prefer the tactile clicks and weight of the 305 over the g pro. I play csgo and I had a mouse that was so hard to shoot one taps with because the mouse buttons were so easy to press that pressing it once usually resulted in multiple fires and the gpro is the same in that way. The clicks are so easy that it's hard to control your clicking when you get nervous and overly reactive in certain situations. Like you said in the video, you thought the 305 was heavier in terms of the mouse clicking and I did too. Whatever it is, it's more tactile and for me and the game I play I prefer that tactile feeling when I click mouse one because it gives me a better feeling of control when I shoot. I also use a clicky keyboard for the same reason. As for the weight, the 305 is perfect to me. Its heavy enough to stop itself. I get really jittery in clutch situations and the lightness of the g pro combined with my nerves makes it harder for me to aim in those situations. The 305 keeps my aim controlled and the weight keeps my aim steady. The 305 is perfect in my opinion. The tacticle mouse clicks are what sold me and the side bottoms stick out and feel the same way too. Awesome little mouse and my shooting and aim has improved because of it.
@bijan Jamshidi If you want to make the mouse lighter you can also opt to use lithium batteries. They last longer and they weigh less. Just a suggestion for ya and for those that are going to buy the mouse. Awesome Vid man.
Overall tho i love the g305 so far, left mb feels a little different than right mb but thats picky because i cant remember the last time i bought a mouse where both mousebuttons actually feel the same. I also would love to have it a little tad bigger in width but thats actually the reason i like it... if you look to other mice you often see shapes or grips but on the g305 its just so easy to mod. just put some afterfarket sidegrips on and reduce weight a little and its perfect. in comparison if its a little too wide, you cant change that and sadly there isnt really a perfect mouse right out of the box, but this thing is kinda close to it. you can make the buttons stiffer, reduce weight, you could even repaint parts of it because its just plastic and not some rubberized side thingys. its perfect for modding... and i dont wanna go back to a cord ever again after like 5 minutes of using it. For this low of a price price... its such a huge deal (coming from 3 razer viper who all delivered sqeaky mouse muttons after 2 weeks) now switched to the g305 since i dont wanna pay 120 bucks for a mouse. its good. not perfect but there is nothing really wrong with the 305 either so far
Been using the coolermaster MM711 for a while and really wanted to use a wireless mouse and I just got this Logitech G305 and I am really loving it and its really great.....highly recommended
Laughs in 50g UL2. Also, moved from the G Pro Wireless to the UL2 after I myself said I'd never go back to a wired mouse (used the FK1 on a bungee). Modded paracord on my mouse and its basically wireless in game, only losses from the GPW is moving around the mouse when reorganizing. Lighter weight and better shape definitely has more benefits
Great review especially since I current have a G pro wireless that is starting to exhibit the 'double-click' issue. The G305 is a perfect and affordable replacement.
I have this mouse with a AAA lithium (that lasts forever) and a battery converter (got it for cheap on Amazon)... 82g with the cover on and 75g without... its basically a slightly smaller GPW without RGB and longer battery life. Fits my 18/9 hands perfect for claw. CSGO players don't use this as they want to have 80g right out of the box and money isn't an issue for them. But for common people like you and me, this is amazing.
He just called me common
@@BijanJamshidi Loved the video. Great editing. You're right, it's perfect for small hands and claw. I really wish I could try the GPW tho. It's not there in my country :( and if I import it I can't return or avail warranty ;/
That’s a shame. Though, I did find a mouse better than the GPW for the same price. Hopefully it’s in your country. Video will be up in a day or 2.

Idk why I'm even here, I bought this mouse over a year ago! (for the record, it performs admirably, and I don't think I've actually swapped out the Duracell inside yet)
omg thank you for addressing the size of hands. As a female it's appreciated greatly since a lot of males who say they have "small" hands they're huge compared to mine. Definitely going to look at picking this up!
I was thinking the same thing! I was worried about the size because a lot of the videos I was watching people were complaining about the size but I just got it in today and it’s a perfect for my hands! (Female as well)
@@P0LAR0IDJ You generally need to go to mouse focused channels like rocketjumpninja or badseed tech for more details than just "shape good/bad"
@@bokunorainbow58 well to be fair I’m not a competitive player nor do I care much about specs and other details about the mouses lol this one was good enough for me :]

Great review!
How about you get her the g wolves hati gaming mouse? Because it’s one of the lightest mice on the market, the grips are amazing, it’s a beautiful mouse and it has one of the best sensors, and it’s wired! :) just an idea from a fan
For any skeptics: I own this mouse and have used it for the past few months. It’s a fantastic mouse for all types of games. I’m a FPS player that plays CS:GO and Valorant. It’s a amazing feel to flick and click quickly. So far I haven’t seen any problems AT ALL. He mentions that he accidentally presses the dpi switcher but I don’t have this problem once. I’d 100% recommend this mouse to you. This does everything a more expensive mouse can but keeping it below $70. If your looking for a new mouse. Put this at the top of your consideration list bc it will surprise you.
Im pretty skeptical and overtinker. Thx a lot for the explication
The only thing is the double clicking problem
Switched from GPW to my GPro Wired and just ordered this because the wire does bother me. The shape is super nice and comfortable once you get used to it and it’s hard to go back to my GPW without it feeling massive but I don’t palm my mice anymore so I think that’s why I made the switch
At 5:39 you said something about deleting the DPI switcher bind but I have a better solution for this without actually having to remove the bind. Just set your DPI switcher to a G-shift key and you can add things to the g-shift mode. Try it out, it gives more features to your logitech mouse.
I've been using the Pictek T16 and I never felt the 130g until I switched to a lighter mouse.
Got a Logitech G305 for just €15 + €3. I bought a damaged one for €15 from my friend, it had liquid damage and a side button not working. Rust from liquid damage was pretty easy to clean and I had buy a 3-pin micro switch for €3. So, it took me just €18 for a working G305. It's been 4 months and it's still working like a charm!
I bought the black G305 last year for 29.90€. I'm using it with AAA battery + adapter. Awesome price/performance ratio.
Few keypoints you forgot/didn't know to mention that I believe are important: 1. You can easily insert AAA battery and fill the rest of empty space with foil. Search for this mod online. I would say it's a must! Significant weight reduction + more balance towards center of the mouse. You can also find 3D printed cover online in order to replace with a lighter one. 2. It's a perfect FPS mouse for a laptop. Really, a quality mouse for a laptop. :)) 3. It has in-mouse memory, so you can configure once, delete the software and forget. 4. Software is somewhat crappy. And their website is a joke - it's a challenge to download up to date version of their software + you have to find the right software for logitech mouses (they have at least 2 apps)... As always, amazing content. Good job!
the aaa thing might start a fire
This mouse is a bad boy/girl. It feels a little cheap, but trust me it's not. It is just lightened as much as possible. The plastic has a different feel than any other mouse I have used (atleast the black one does) . I have grown to love the way it feels (very grippy). It is everything I ever would need. Also I love the dpi button, never accidentally hit it and switch between the 2 highest settings depending if I'm gaming or browsing the web or using Photoshop. BUY THIS MOUSE IF YOU WANT THE BEST SENSOR AT A LOW PRICE. Great video. 👍
i love the g305, but if they ever release the gpro in white again, i'd switch. the rgb is just so attractive. i'm a sucker for aesthetics.
I was looking for a white mouse as well. Came across this thing in my search and am thrilled it was only $40!
..and it can be modded like a hotrod
Modded how?
Basically paracording (for wired version), adding skins or grip tapes to it.

I did and haven't looked back ever since.
I have been using this mouse for a few weeks now and i've never clicked on the dpi button accidentally. Not even once but the right click tho, when i was playing games i accidentally clicked it sometimes but thankfully this is easy to solve i've just put a small piece of paper under the mouse clicks and it works pretty good now. Did not accidental click not even once since then. At first this seemed like an issue but since i've found the paper solution i realized that i can change the mouse button sensitivity the way i want to. It is also comfortable to use maybe not the most comfortable mouse ever sure but still pretty good. Don't really have anything bad to say about this mouse, huge upgrade after Logitech m238 lmao now i just wanna try out Razer Orochi v2

went from a g pro wirless to a glorious model 0 and i have to say its the best one i ever had ... I had 3 g pro wireless and all 3 times i had the doubleclick issue aftera few months
Ordered it before finishing the video :) was shocked that I got it for only 30 USD. Only the purple and blue versions were that cheap for some reason lol.
I have both G305 and GPW and the G Pro Wireless is much better built, feels more solid in the hand, more balanced, glides better and noticeably lighter. Plus the the weight of the G305 is on the back so it feels weird. The weight of the GPW is distributed equally and it almost feels unreal it's so good. That being said, G305 is very good for the money especially if you have small hands.
Another good competitor for this mouse at least where i lived is corsair harpoon wireless and razer basilisk x. The price range is only within 5-10$ of each other. Originally after watching extensive reviews on the internet i was pretty hell bent on getting g305 but once im at physical store and physically test all the mice turns out basilisk x give me more comfort than the g305. So definitely go and try at a physical store first and u can either buy online if its too expensive or just buy directly. In the end there is no theoretically perfect mouse since everyone preferences is different.
the corsair harpoon is trash. I have the wired one, and the clicks are so hard to press. Coming from a minecraft player.

Going to get this mouse in a few days. I'm new to m&k and just play cod and stuff on my Xbox. I bought my first mouse not really thinking about it so I got a logitech G502 wired. But I have small hands and this thing is pretty bulky. So I'm really hoping this mouse changes things up for me.
what have you thought about it?
@@veticgods definitely feels more comfortable than something bulky. But as in gameplay I don't have a pc I just use it for Xbox games so I'm not the best with mnk. But it's definitely worth the $50-$60. I got mine for $50 on amazon. The only bad thing about it is that the backside is you can feel most of the weight in on the backside lol
What monitor was that at around 2:30. That looks really good :0
I've used the g305 for a year with the stock battery. And i keep it on all the time.
I personally use the G-203 ( Wired ) and I also have a G-Pro Wireless sitting at the edge of my mouse mat crying because it doesn't get used any more. I much prefer the shape and feel of the 203 over the Pro Wireless and I have identical hand size to yours. The only thing I would prefer is to have two side buttons on the other side of the mouse so it is would be ambidextrous.
I'll take it off your hands for you bro

ive modded mine to reduce the weight. I guess it can be comparable. but with larger hands using it was a bit cumbersome. the gpro wireless also has better clicks imo
Great video!
I replaced the bottom shell of the g305 with a 3d printed one with flat sides and it's so much more ergonomic. the way the default g305 sides narrow towards the base is horrendous for me
I have recently bought this mouse. (my first wireless mouse) and I love it. relativly cheap and better then most of the expensive ones. the only thing I dont like is the battery and usb reciever. In the rear I find it kinda bad.
How to reset the Gshift layout? I accidentally replace the primary click.
i have a g102 which was offered $6 retail $24+ and i can agree its good
Was considering this but it's way too tiny for my hands to palm it, shame looks like one of the best at it's price point
I have that exact same mouse and I love it
You can do the aaa battery swap for like 6 bucks and makes it about 82 grams. You get a 8 pack of the adapters.
They need to make an updated version of the G305
my g305 (g304 here in asia) got delivered today!! I'm not going back again to wired lol
You can use a AAA battery inside a AA battery capsule to lower the weight of the mouse by about 10 grams.
how does the white paint hold up so far? I'm considering the white version for long term use
would you recommend this for someone coming from a steel series sensei 310?
I have a question. I have seen few videos where people try the g305 playing CSGO. The common things saying were, the sensor is not that precise. How true is that? Could you please share your opinions on this? Thank you.
I'm looking for a new mouse, because my current wireless mouse battery saving feature is frustrating. It takes 2 to almost 6 seconds for it to wake up. Do you need to wait for this mouse to wake up after hours of being idle?
My only issue with this mouse is that lifting it off the mousepad at all makes it stop tracking, I used a wired rival 3 for 3 years before recently looking at wireless mouses and it tracks when lifted slightly off the mousepad. I initially bought the rival 3 wireless and it was a hot turd, after the 4th day it fell off my desk, hit my carpeted floor, and no longer works.
when i first bought the glorious model O i was on clound 9 for 3 years until now it broke and i had to go back to my 5 year old deathadder and man this thing sux i have medium to large hads (for a 15 year-old) and the deathadder essential is little to no good for me i basically torture myself after 2 hours i hope thje g305 lightspeed helps me
dawg that is the exact same mnk set up that I have... guess I'm watching this video now!
Is this still the best alternative to g pro wireless? Entering the PC world from console and wanna at least get mid tier components
