Hi Lennie and Angela. Yep that is about the size of deer in the hill country of Texas. I call them big dogs. That 8 point buck would only yield about 60 lbs. of meat and I have had some 8 points only yield 40 lbs. I don't mess with the little bit of rib meat. Don

- Yeah I'm use to Michigan deer that are much bigger 😅 it looks strange seeing that big rack on such a small buck 😳

- @lifewithlennie Yes nice rock but no meat. I only shoot what I eat and I process them myself.

also deer are not vegetarians, they are MOSTLY vegetarians but they will eat meat when they are hungry no problem. Non meat is mostly their diet, but they have no problem eating anything they can find when very hungry. Small animals, birds, bugs, etc.
