I stayed away (don’t want her trusting humans too much) but she seemed relaxed in our neighborhood. She brought her fawns & now they are grown & THEY show up. I talk to them in soothing tones to let them know they are welcome. It’s a blessing to see them grow.

  • Yes, have seen before, but the best rescues always deserve repeating. This is one of the best videos I have ever seen. So wonderful to have been reunited with her family. Seeing the family together, my heart! Thanks, Dodo for posting!

  • 3 years ago my husband is driving home. He slows down there is a deer and 2 fawns. The mother turns on her baby and stomped it to death. I was on the phone with him when it happened. Bless him. He ran to help it. But she killed the fawn. He hunts and has never witnessed this. Bless him. He payed to have the fawn tested. No health issues at all. The vet said it’s possible food was scarce and she chose to kill the fawn. Bless him. He cried. It was very traumatic to witness he said. What a heart he has. He laid the deer to rest, and planted a flowering tree beside the grave. I love him. He has a big heart.

    • I am sorry to hear this happened. Very traumatic. Heart wrenching. Unfortunate fawn. Two kind and merciful individuals loved it, dearly. -your husband -and you. Jehovah bless your loving way. 1John 4:8

    • What a traumatizing thing to go through I had no idea a deer would do that to its own baby... if I saw that myself it would have haunted me forever I feel bad for your husband and he is a great guy to have tried to save it I wonder what the mother was thinking as her baby was crying for it's life as she was killing it... I guess even deers can do gruesome things and just take it in stride... I wonder if it was in the middle of winter when this happened when deer struggle to find grass to eat...that would be the only thing that would make any sense if the mother did it as a mercy killing which is the only thing I could think of that makes any sense...

  • 3:30 this part made me cry. He wanted her to go back into the wild with other deer but she just wanted to keep following him.
