Zombieland: Migration, drugs, and violence made German cities unbearable | NIUS Original
As we all can see, something has changed in Germany. There's a new form of homelessness in our cities. The effects of drugs, violence, and migration are palpable everywhere. Crystal meth and heroin are found next to children's playgrounds. Knife fights in front of train stations take place literally every day, and homeless people are decaying while still alive. People who migrated to Germany are struggling to cope. NIUS reporters Eva Vlaardingerbroek and Jan A. Karon document the 'Zombieland' from the front lines. The homeless share how they ended up in the streets - and what occupies their minds.

Schön wenn die Politik an allem schuld ist. Was kann die Politik dafür das die Typen kein Bock auf Arbeit haben und sich lieber seit 30 Jahren mit Drogen vollknallen? Drogen wurden schon verboten weil soche Penner nicht damit umgehen können! Was sonst noch? Arbeitspflich? Sogar Schulpflicht haben wir in Deutschalnd - wenn man aber trotzdem nicht hingeht -> Brücke und rumheulen das die anderen schuld sind an der eigenen Faulheit!

I remember as a child, when our uncle was working in Germany 30 years ago. Always very nice clothes, always beautiful cars when he was visiting us. He wasn't rich to be honest but he was having a good life just because he had work over there. We was always happy when he was coming back as he was bringing a lot of sweets and stuff. He was always telling us stories about how great and organize country this was. About how people respect each other, streets are clean and cities are beautiful just as the countrysides. Man how many years have passed? 30? How to turn a beautiful country into zombieland in just 30 years? We need to ask leftists and Angela Merkel herself. I wonder if she's proud about what she did to the whole country. How to get back from this? How to tell those people to go back whatever they came from? And most important - how to tell people who still think that Western Europe is such a great place to be, not to come as the poverty will just streghten itself? Such suffering, so much pain in those eyes. And no hope for tommorow. This is hell on earth for a soul. I just found this video after watching zombieland in Philadelphia US. Same thing. Poverty, drugs, thousands of homeless people sleep on the streets. What is happening to this world?!
I lived in Berlin in the 90ths and you almost nevr saw a homeless person. What a mess it has become . I visited this year . It is not the city i once loved . Homeless under every bridge

I‘ve moved from Brazil (even being spanish) 2 years ago here to Berlin, it was quite a shock for me from a country I thought it was deeply organised, clean, modern and fare. This is all so sad, you come to help building a better place and now have to deal with the same patterns of decadence from the rest of the world.

I live in a small village in northern Germany. No drugs, no gang violence, no people besieging or trashing streets and houses, everything is clean and tidy. Would not change anything about the life here. When I look at or visit bigger German cities like Hamburg or Berlin I feel like I‘m in some dystopian movie. I do not recognize my country, it looks like you took an airplane to another country 10 hours away, somewhere else but not Germany and tbh I‘m quite embarrassed that this is the first impression some foreigners are getting from my country when they visit us for the first time.

As a German I am shocked. I live in my small town with 10.000 people. Work in town with 120.000 People. 10 years ago I worked in Frankfurt and it was OKish. "Bahnhofsviertel" was always sketchy but no like this Zombiapocalypse. I am very happy to have my good neighborhood. If this continues, in 20 Years everything is over. My children are 6 and 8 yo. What a sad time for them.

Um die großen Städte mache ich in Neu-Afrika wo es mir möglich ist, immer einen Bogen. Das Berlin ist nicht mehr dass, in dem ich aufgewachsen bin. Ich fühle mich dort fremd. Frankfurt am Main war schon 2008 rum Scheiße. Ich bin dort recht schnell wieder weggezogen, weil ich gesehen habe, wie tief die Abgründe dort sind. Mit dem Resultat, dass es jetzt bei mir im Osten genau so herunter gekommen aussieht. Leider grassiert dieses Problem in immer mehr Ländern der Welt und selbst an den vermeintlich guten und schönen Orten, sieht man das immer öfter 😕
Frankfurt ist nichts für schwache Gemüter. Ein Grund dafür, wieso die Stadt so großartig ist. =)

Es ist zu spät und auch dort ist es zu teilen schon so. Wenn man in die Schulen schaut, könnte man von einem Genozid der Deutschen denken aber ich würde das nie machen. Also es ist unweigerlich auch bald flächendeckend auf dem Land. Um die linksgrünen Ideologen zu zitieren, ist die Umvolkung quasi abgeschlossen.
Deswegen bin ich 2010 aufs Land gezogen um diesen Müll auf zwei Beinen nicht ständig zu begegnen.

Unser Land war mal nicht armselig, wie es jetzt ist, ist es armselig und an allerster Stelle bedank dich bei dem Wählervolk, weil ohne die könnten Parteien wie die Grünen nicht regieren, sie würden gar nicht erst existieren. Wer jetzt noch immer sowas wählt und manch einem sieht man es an, welche Parteien sie wählen, die schlimmsten, die Grünen Anhänger sind schnell erkennbar, bekommen ab sofort meine tiefste Verachtung zu spüren.
Aber, aber! Die Großstädte sind super. Wir haben die Parkplätze massiv verteuert, wir haben Tempo 30 und das Nichtraucherschutzgesetz. Damit sind doch nun wirklich alle Probleme gelöst. Falsch, noch ist Cannabis nicht freigegeben, dann erst ist alles perfekt, denn dann gibt es endlich auch mehr Konsumenten harter Drogen. Davon haben wir tatsächlich viel zu wenige. Nur 40% steigen von Cannabis auf harte Drogen um. Das muß besser werden, dann gibt es auch keine Probleme mehr mit der Beschaffungskriminalität, Ironie off!

I passed through Germany in the years 1974-1976 and it was such a beautiful place. Me and some fellow sailors had a great time throughout Germany. I think they want to get even with what happened during WWII by trying to get the Germans hooked on illicit chemicals. Das, was ich in der Umgebung von dem frankfurter Hauptbahhof gesehn habe, das war schrecklich, unbeschreiblich,... Ich habe gedacht, das ich in einem anderen Land bin. Diese Stadt sollte die Hauptstadt der Ökonomie sein? Möglichreweise ist Frankfurt die Hauptschtad der Armseligkeit und des Kummers.

I could cry when i see what has happened to Germany. I lived there 40 years ago and i loved it, so clean, tidy and safe. We had a good standard of living and a nice car. My children could play outside safely. People respected the rules and regulations and everything was orderly. What happened.

Danke für euren Beitrag. Wir sind das lebende Beispiel was mit einem Wirtschaftsriesen passiert, wenn sich immer für die EU gebückt wird und die Regierung absolut dysfunktional ist. Als ich aufgewachsen bin, (90er) war es so sicher, dass ich als Kind um 20:30 noch raus gegangen bin und spazieren konnte. In einer Stadt. Heutzutage kann ich meine Frau ab 19 Uhr nicht alleine raus lassen, im allgemeinen nicht ohne Taschenalarm, Pfefferspray und GPS-Locator. Zu oft mussten wir selber miterleben wie "Schutzsuchende" frei drehen und ihrer Meinung gegenüber Frauen kund tun. Besonders wenn es Alkohol gibt. Wir haben schon so, soooo viel gesehen und es tut mir Leid, aber 90% davon ging rein von Menschen mit Migrationshintergrund aus. Viele davon konnten nicht mal gebrochen Deutsch. Jeder der Kritik an der Migrationspolitik übt, wird gleich als Nazi tituliert und seiner Meinung enteignet. Wer Migranten generell kritisiert wird gleich zum Nazi gemacht. Ich fühle mich als Deutscher mittlerweile wie eine Minderheit in meinem Land und frei sprechen darf ich auch nicht. Dazu muss ich mit meinen Steuern das Leben von Menschen finanzieren die einen Scheiss auf mich, mein Land und meine Kultur geben. Sexuelle Übergriffe an öffentlichen Orten, Übergriffe auf Personal in allerlei Branchen, Sozialbetrug und Identitätsbetrug(JA! Männer werfen vor der Grenze alle Personalien weg und sagen sie seien 16.) , Sylvester Bürgerkrieg in Köln spielen. Das ist nur eine kleine Liste an viralen Dingen, viel geht einfach nicht in die Nachrichten. Warum? Today Vienna is full of beggars and they all come from the neighboring Eastern European countries. Many districts today resemble a dirty oriental third world city, but the traitors who are responsible for this all live in the few luxury residential areas. There are no beggars, no junkies, no homeless people, no aggressive illegal immigrants and, above all, no crime. But what pisses me off the most is that you spend your whole life working, paying exorbitant taxes and have to watch helplessly as your home town becomes less and less livable.

This monument will be erected at the expense of the taxpaying public (60 000 euros). It would be of great interest to know if the taxpayers of Bremen actually support this expenditure. I suspect that the majority of folks, and I mean internationally, not just the good people of Bremen, would find this inexplicable and completely off the rails.

Some cases were made public in which the survey mostly consisted of members/politicians of parties that form the "Ampel" and/or folks from the public news broadcaster itself...if you pay for a service like this, you own the survey/study. The problem then is that the owner doesn't need to make the methodology used public as the owner also owns the methodology...hence, you can't reconstruct who was really asked, or, if it can be clarified that it really represents society and how many people were asked etc.

Die Rentner bräuchten keine Pfandflaschen zu sammeln, müssen nur die entsprechenden Anträge stellen. Minirenten werden dann auf das sogenannte Sozial/bzw. Bürgergeldniveau aufgestockt, nennt sich dann Grundsicherung.

Last Friday, I was in Düsseldorf centre, near the Hbf , just one evening for my job.., i saw 5 homeless people sleeping on a sidewalk under some cardboard.., it was -3 outside..i stopped by , wanting to help..but their Bodies were shaking, .. I finally gave up.. sadly realizing i wouldn't make any difference...17 years now , going for work and business in Germany in almost all the Big cities... never seen anything like this... that was not the striving, disciplined efficient Germany..i admire so much...may god not let you down mein Deutsch Freund

I am sorry, but if that quote is really truth, then German President from 2020 got a real head problem. I hope, I was understood that completely wrong. But, if i am not, then all Germany got real problems with head sickness. I really do not want offend anybody, especially Germans. But, many of them were voted for him. I´m from Brazil and I´ve been to Germany twice, the last one to run the Berlin Marathon in 2021, and I didn´t see any places like those portrayed in the video. At least for me, these dangerous and spoiled places are just in very specific parts of the city, not something spread all around. I still have a great impression of Germany.

That's because the documentary here shows you a biased (albeit not unrealistic by any means) picture or to be precise, it implies certain things about the overall state of Germany. It's no surprise they had to pick the worst spots. It certainly warrants reporting in general and fixing the problem more resolutely, but make no mistake, many other areas are ok or not as bad.

Nachdem ich nun die ganze Reportage angeschaut habe, bin ich wirklich schockiert. Ich komme nie in größere Städte und habe das selbst noch nicht gesehen. Ich war in ganz Lateinamerika unterwegs, aber sowas hab ich dort nicht gesehen. Der Wohnungsmangel in Deutschland hat sicherlich viel damit zu tun. Armut und Arbeitslosigkeit allein kann es nicht sein. Ich verstehe den Zusammenhang zwischen Perspektivlosigkeit - Drogen - Obdachlosigkeit und halte es nicht für einen Fehler der Menschen, sondern der Regierung. Die Drogenabhängigen in euren Interviews geben sich selbst die Schuld, aber ich sehe die Schuld nicht bei ihnen.
Ich habe vor ungefähr 35 Jahren für eine Weile in Wangen im Allgäu gewohnt . Bereits damals wurde ich als blonde Frau von unseren "Goldstücken" belästigt . In der Innenstadt wurden Fernsehgeräte und Möbel aus Fenstern auf parkende Autos geworfen ! Vor 10 Jahren war ich nochmals zu Besuch dort . Die Zustände : Noch viel schlimmer . Ich möchte nicht wissen , was jetzt da los ist ... kein Wunder , wenn es in Großstädten noch trostloser aussieht ! 🤑

Ich bin Grieche und ich habe in Deutschland ungefaehr sechs Jahre lang gearbeitet. Das war ab 2012 bis Ende 2018. Ich konnte schon ein bisschen Deutsch sprechen und es bedeutete dass ich eine gute Arbeitsstelle gefunden habe. Aber...es war so komisch...ich meine,es gab so viele Leute von Afrika oder von anderen Regionen der Erde,auf den Strassen,im Bahnhof,ueberall,die nichts mit Deutscher oder Europaeischer Kultur zu tun hatten. Ich war auch ein Auslaender,aber es war kein Problem bei mir um die Mentalitaet der Deutschen zu verstehen. Die Deutsche Grammar wurde von der Grammar altes Griechenlands formuliert. Ich konnte Beethoven oder Bach verstehen,ich liebte (und liebe noch !) Krautrock oder elektronische Deutsche Musik (Kraftwerk !),Deutsches Kino,Deutsche Literatur... Ich stellte mir Deutschland vor als ein sehr spezielles Land. Ich glaube es immer noch. Aber wenn in Deutschland,ich will (am meistens) Deutsche Leute sehen und treffen. Und es ist nicht mehr so. Es tut mir leid.
Freue dich, du wolltest das, du dachtest, wenn sie endlos weiterkämen, dann würde Deutschland gleich bleiben, du liegst falsch. Komischerweise ich als Albanerin spreche sehr gut Deutsch habe 2 Ausbildungen in Deutschland abgeschlossen und mit guten Durchschnittsnotte und es ist unmöglich zu integrieren. Du bist Gricher und sicher katholisch ich bin Albanerin aber ich darf nicht katholisches Glauben haben weil ich Albanerin bin und obwohl ich eigentlich getauft bin und viel mehr an Gott glaube als dies Leute selbst und für mich hir zu arbeiten ist unmöglich. Was auf einen Land passiert es ist kein Zufall.

Bardzo dużo filmów obejrzałam o bezdomnych i mam jedną opinię, że większość tych ludzi jest na ulicy bo wolą takie życie gdyż nie ma żadnej odpowiedzialności za nic, za dzieci które zwykle porzucili lub im zabrano, za rachunki itd., wolą tkwić w nałogach bo tak jest łatwo, nie muszą pracować, nawet im się nie chce, jedzenie dostaną, mają się gdzie umyć, tylko nawet tam większości nie chce się chodzić, dostaną czyste ubrania jeśli chcą. Nie muszą spać na ulicy bo mogą w różnych schroniskach ale wybierają ulicę bo mogą pić i zażywać do woli. Ludzie dają im pieniądze, co utrzymuje ich w nałogu. To właśnie ludzka litość nad nimi powoduje, że im się nic nie chce. Gdyby nie mieli na narkotyki i alkohol to życie zmusiłoby ich do tego by wziąć się za siebie. Socjal, zbyt duża pomoc państwa i ludzi psuje ich tylko i rozleniwia, nie widzą sensu by pracować bo wiedzą, że i tak dostaną na swoją działkę od przechodniów. Nie jest mi ich szkoda . Na ulicy są na własną prośbę. Wszyscy mają wspólną cechę, uzależnienie, brak dokumentów, pobyt w więzieniu (w większości). W krajach gdzie nie ma takiej opieki państwa nie ma tylu bezdomnych. Oni uciekają do krajów które im to zapewniają. W większości to patentowe lenie, które chcą łatwego życia, znieczuleni na krzywdę jaką wyrządzili własnym dzieciom i rodzinom, mający w dodatku roszczeniowy stosunek do wszystkich. Uciekają zwykle przed odpowiedzialnością albo karną albo finansową lub rodzinną. Te wszystkie historie opowiadane przez nich są takie same , niezależnie od narodowości. Nic nie robią a tyle dostają od państwa. W ramach wdzięczności powinni brać szczotki i zamiatać ten cały syf co po sobie zostawiają. A te lenie zaśmiecają tylko świat i nic nie chcą dać z siebie. Nigdy za nic nie są wdzięczni tylko żądają wszystkiego. Przez nich miasta wyglądają jak śmietniska, śmierdzą jak dosłownie kible. Powinni być umieszczani w jakiś specjalnych miejscach daleko od cywilizacji bo nie potrafią żyć z ludźmi. Szczytem bezczelności jest to kiedy nie dość, że za darmo jeżdżą transportem publicznym to ludzie muszą wysiadać bo jest taki smród, że trudno wytrzymać. ostatnio byłam w Nowym Yorku i niestety to miasto jest brudne, wręcz syficzne i okropnie śmierdzi, czy to na powierzchni czy w metrze. Ci ludzie zamienić wszystko potrafią w jedną wielką kloakę. Ale państwa takie jak Niemcy pozwalają na to, ta cała pomoc państwa właśnie prowadzi do zguby . Sam fakt że są miejsca gdzie otrzymują strzykawki i mogą sobie działkę wstrzyknąć powoduje że oni nigdy nie skończą z nałogiem. A może to jest sposób by ich się właśnie pozbyć bo za dużo kosztuje takie utrzymanie darmozjada? To też jest pomysł. Widocznie państwa nawet te bogate już nie dają rady więc niby pod pozorem humanitaryzmu pozwala im się wykończyć dając im możliwość niby czystego zaaplikowania sobie brudnymi łapskami. To też jest sposób w białych rękawiczkach na pozbycie się ich.
I lived in Dusseldorf 50 years ago for 6 years it was really clean , no begging at all , no visible homeless or junkies , but this isn't just Germanys problem. All of Europe and North America have the same problems and unfortunately it is going to get a lot worse . Go and look at Manchester now .Unreal the contrast from just twenty years ago .
