In the second episode of Toxicity we take you among Nairobi's street kids, turned into zombies by lethal sniffing drugs such as glue and jet fuel, which they inhale hundreds of times every day.
These drugs mess with their brain functions and transform them into junkies incapable of controlling their mind and body.

I am a Somali who had been to Nairobi more than a dozen times since 1992. Last time was in 2019. I had seen those boys called _chokora_ on the streets. They are also the unofficial recycling people that recycle every every recycleable material, including plastic and sell it.

I started doing drugs since my teenage, got addicted to Fentanyl. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Fentanyl addiction actually destroyed my life. Not until my wife recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 6 years totally clean. Never thought I would be saying this about mushrooms.
Amen God bless people. Save your health save your mind. Life is better without heroin, cocaine, alcohol and cigarettes. And you have more money in your pocket. God bless everyone who has rejected the devils intentions to be addicted to alcohol and cigarettes etc which can cause so much damage to health.
Can you help me with the reliable source 🙏. I'm 56 and have suffered for years with addiction, anxiety and severe ptsd, I got my panic attacks under control myself years ago and they have come back with a vengeance, I'm constantly trying to take full breaths but can't get the full satisfying breath out, it's absolutely crippling me, i live in Germany. 100% agree I used to have Psychosis and paranoid thoughts like "people thinking about me talking about me etc. Very odd behavior after getting off Adderall from 7-16. Antidepressants at 18-29. 31 now. I took way to much, but took about 20g of Gold caps (Psilocybin containing mushroom) I analyzed my entire life. The emotions that came out helped me understand behavior etc more. Wont ever need to do it again because I'm happy and contempt forever, but I wish more people did this to alter their perception of reality. Would help with healing much trauma

No, the people are responsible for the politicians...this is a cultural issue...no work ethic, no focus on education, standards of living...you can give each of these people a billion dollars and they'd be in same condition in a few days. I am Kenyan, these areas where this guy conducted the interviews are no-go zones. Most of street children in Nairobi are armed with knives and handguns, Thank God he successfully completed the mission and he's safe.
His swahili is pretty good. They feel some sort of connection and donc act like they would with other msungu.

"you forget about being hungry..." this line made me think that nobody on earth wants to get high and do drugs basically. everyone who is a drug addict or taking lethal drugs is probably going through or have gone through some tough situations and might got one the wrong path of drugs. i hope nobody have to take drugs because of the negative emotions or situations.
This is true. Society tends to look down upon people who take drugs not Knowing what these people have been through or are going through to make them take such actions. Seeing children as young as 13 years old take drugs because of their environment, lack of a future perspective, Poverty or even adult guidance breaks my heart.
It's not necessary that drugs destroy lives. Lives were already destroyed, and drugs were their way for forgetting

This is absolutely heartbreaking, that life is so unbearable for some and this is their only means of escape and coping .

I haven’t seen such a good document for some time. It is absolutely devastating to see those kids intoxicating themselves. If they were born in a different environment likely none of them would have been sniffing glue or jet fuel. Life can be very brutal
This is genuinely frightening. I love zombies and the media around them but there's something about seeing what is basically a horde in real life surrounding a small group of people.

I am a 16 year old boy in Ghana, and before watching this vidoe I used to think my life was unfair. But after today am going to be very grateful for all I have and stop complaining and really sad for this young ones like me 😔😔😢😢

Not trying at all to downplay the suffering of these poor people (hope things improve for all who suffer), but it’s better to suffer temporarily in this life than eternally in the next (afterlife). In a way, being rich is something to avoid because you may stop believing in God and may start acting like you are a false so-called “god/goddess” who may erroneously believe that you don’t need God in your life. This documentary devastated me, really it hits so much. Africa youth are dying, god help us.
I am Colombian and we have the same problem here. It was clearly depicted in a movie called: "La vendedora de rosas" This movie won many, many awards and was also nominated for best film in Cannes Film Festival.
Kudos for the reporter having the balls of steel going to places like that with just a few bodyguards. KZhead algorithm has brought me here and man, this is how media should report. Showing real stories and helping at the same time.
You're VASTLY underestimating the pressure "aura" and intimidation mercenaries have. We're talking about people that drawn and quarter you with a smile if they need to, amd these people witnessed it.

This documentary is exploiting and unethical to the people that were filmed. Wrong on so many levels. I know this is a very severe and problematic issue that needs to be resolved but this isn't the right way to reflect on this matter.

@@Miketothek666 actually not true. It is 52 years in central Afrika. Still 20 years below global life expectancy and 30 years below japan which has one of the highest.
@@ceewood120 The problem is you can't do reliable stats when people don't have no legal existence; no birth certificate = no age, no death certificate etc. The poorest places of those countries are probably not really included in life expectancy calculation. I don't think they can reach 52 years living in trash and sniffing glue all day long.

The numbers certainly don't reflect the reality in such poverty plagued countries where life and death aren't highly regulated, recorded, tracked, and shared as is found in nearly if not all western countries like Canada or America. I would be so bold as to suggest that as much as 25% of successful births go entirely unrecorded, perhaps a greater number as it pertains to death, in many of these 3rd world like areas.

I'm a Kenyan, a friend took me on a trip around Mlango Kubwa, I had never felt that unsafe and vulnerable in my 24 years of existence. It also reminded me on how brutal life is, its like some people are born to suffer.

Its so sad that this's happening at the center of the capital city. These are just young kids lost without any hope. Yet, after every five years we wake up to elect leaders who do nothing but steal! Yeah man. My experience here from Brazil, and seeing things like this... the best countries around works because their politicians care about their people and country. Politicians from my country, from Nairobi, they act against the nation only to keep the oligarchies rich.
But its easy just to blame pollies. Many may be corrupt, but so too are the police officers, perhaps doctors, nurses, teachers, border guards, military. I'd guess anything is for sale. Its really hard to turn around countries with such endemic poverty and Kenya isn't even that bad compared to other areas of Africa. The key is educating women and giving free birth control/abortion. Women tend to pull not only themselves, but their whole families out of poverty and when you reduce the birth rate, you give women better autonomy over their bodies and reduce the burden on healthcare, infrastructure, education etc.
I'm from Kenya,all the politicians here do is borrow loans from other countries and put the money in their pockets

i went to capetown a year ago its the best example. We weredriving hours with a rental car and the only way into the city was through a slum no one of yall has ever seen before. Im talking about the dirtiest and saddest place ive ever seen. Everything full of people just staring at you because youre driving a rental car. small dirty sheds as far as your eye can see. 350 000 people livng there. After like one hour , after you passed the last bit, capetown is spitting in your face. Huge white buildings, fancy restaurant and literally all the white people living in fenced mansions in a rich are just above the beach. Cant even describe it

these kids go back to the streets later. here in Zambia the government decided to get all of them out of the streets during the pandemic. It didn't work. They ran away, back to the streets. only a few stay in rehab centers. It's really a beautiful ending to this horrifying film

In the early 90's I was a British soldier on exercise in Kenya. Every-one had to go to Nanyuki at some time and take a turn escorting the rubbish trucks out to the local dump. I don't think drugs were an issue at the time but it was still a real eye opener. The poor people living in the dump mobbed the trucks in the hope of something edible in the sacks we threw out the back. Hands came through the canopy and they were eating cookhouse slops before they had landed back on the ground. Little children looked on in the hope that there would be something left for them. We young, tough soldiers with tears in our eyes grew up in ways we could never before imagine that day. No-one spoke for the rest of the day. When I see wasted food now, I remember the sight of the tiny little girl of around 3 years old, grey with filth, looking hopefully at a man tearing into a bin bag.
That's That's real deep experience you've shared here man. At least even as Soldier you still had empathy!! Credit to you!

Nairobi is not all bad. I visited Netherlands and I say this from an informed pov. The areas filmed are drug infested areas fullof addicts. Make sure you control drug use in your country before you judge. You could end up with drug towns
