I honestly think people don't realize the thought put behind certain features. For example, the reason wearing gold makes pigeons neutral is because they want you to purposely sacrifice one of your armor slots to avoid pigeon encounters. Adding gold trims that negate piglins makes that feature useless.
It's nice to put thought into how the game is played. Minecraft, however, is a sandbox game. Utility is only as nice as the freedom to forgo it for fun in a sandbox game. Although I agree with your point, you take the good with the bad if you don't use gold, it's a ridiculous feature to add gold trim to a set of armor and it means nothing more than cosmetic surgery. I say, spend gold, you get gold features.

You shouldn't get just one option though. Early game option is wearing gold armor in the nether, a turtle helmet in the sea and leather boots in snow. Late game should have enchantments, spells, trim, or etc that provide that benefit to the endgame player plus extra. Basically like how bundles are new player shulker boxes. You have to beat the game to get shulker boxes so they're better than bundles that only require you to smack rabbits. Things like this trim are the same. If it's that gold items are useless, rather than this they should just fix Gold to be not useless. As stands it's SO much less durable and barely any faster as tools and weapons that even with the piglins people will prefer to just deal with the inconvenience of not wearing it over the inconvenience of wearing it.

Mojang didn't add stats to trims because they would encourage players to wear one trim over the rest, it's absolute true. Trims are created solely for cosmetic reasons. Enchantments, potions and armors themselves are for stats, not trims.
then equalize effects, i would like a mining boost but i can see others wanting overall speed or better trades, thisll make the player search for netherite even after then got a full set, instead of just getting a full set then being done forever until you want something like a netherite beacon.
1:35-1:40 while I do like the idea, Minecraft's cacti are based approximately off a sub-100 year Saguaro, which does *not* give you water. The *ONLY* Cactus that gives you water is the Hedgehog cactus. (maybe one or two others). I would however love multiple cactus species in Minecraft, like Hedgehog, Barrel, proper Saguaro, and Prickly Pear. Fun Fact: You can eat prickly pear pads as long as you knock off the spines beforehand.

I feel like the armor trim effects feel a little _too_ modded, and as cool as it is, it defeats the purpose of having the trims be customizable and cosmetic, because now instead of focusing on the visuals you'd only care about the potentially overpowered bonus effects.
Seems like you would want a lot of different armor sets if you are using that mod
I personally play a lot of singleplayer, and that makes the visuals of armor trims almost meaningless to me. This, however, would give me a reason to use them.
I love the idea of adding the jukebox to boats and minecarts, because that they stay in place sucks

NO! 1) many are OP, 2) the POINT of the armor trims is to be purely cosmetic. A MUCH better mod would be to 1)improve the look of the armor trims, perhaps removing the constraint to the size of the armor & making them 3D, so you could have horns, for example, and 2) make them easier to get
I personally think, instread of picking spawners up, they should be piston pushable. So if you want to piston push 20 spawners together you can, but it will take a while.
Balancing something by making it tedious isnt fun

@@apothic0n dude, it's not that hard to make a flying machine and move something hundreds of blocks. The point of it being 'tedious' is that players get a sense of achievement when they dig 14 trenches to the sky, lift the spawners with flying machines then move them all to world spawn. Cause only a few people would do that with pushable spawners. But if you can pick them up, every ham and his dog would be planting spawners under their mates beds, or turning a players spawn point into a death trap. It needs to be just hard enough to discourage griefing, but easy enough people can brag about it on youtube!

Putting uses to the armor trims goes against what is their intended purpose (purely cosmetic), because by adding uses, some will inebitably end up better than others
I get what you’re saying, but I think the mod does a great job of balancing them
I mean that's how armor already works. No one will use leather or iron armor when you have diamond and netherite. atleast with this, you can get buffs which are pretty balanced

An idea that would be awesome is the combination of inventory on minecart furnaces and the ability to chain minecarts together. You won't need powered rails anymore
powered rails are faster than the furnance minecart.

@@ppeez the furnace should have a lava bucket option so thats one minute with power for free since lava is a renewable source. Same for charcoal. Easy to get just need a wood farm. Best part is that it serves as a one way ticket. Strangers cant use it without using fuel. Meaning that the fuel efficient players always get around the easiest. Its capitalism on its best.
@@ppeez I wouldn't say it's that bad. It's not the best, but would have it's uses I'm sure (eg. fuel is much easier to get in large quantities early/mid game than gold)
@@antekacki8753 wouldnt be bad idea if the speed stacked. So furnace minecart on powered rails become a much faster cart.
There is one mod that adds a nice thing on the Sniffer. Snowy Sniffer. Honestly could go as something Mojang could add. Light yet charming!

The functionality of trims are such a good idea. It gives players the option to create different kinds of armors sets for different adventures
yeah but first there would have to be combat related adventures in this game... this game has had two bosses for over ten years. i.e. also elder guardian from 2014 and the warden but I don't count them because there is no loot from them XD and even including them there is still a pitiful amount of "actual threats", if you can even call it that way cause dragon fight is a fu*** joke. so the only sensible fight with a sensible prize is wither, of which if you haven't played minecraft before, you have a 0.00000000001% chance that you will be able to accidentally look at wither painting and arrange wither heads & soul sand in such a formation to even start a fight, which is also an interesting game design XD I know there may exist reasons, but it's just unbelievably hard to accept that these people, despite their best efforts and super competence, despite being a multi-million dollar company with the 2nd best selling game in history, despite doing 1.20 update for a whole long year, in a team of ~600 people, with thousands of ideas from the community, are able to create so few new things that you can count them all on your fingers, which in addition are in large part a lazy reworked mechanics and textures, in a game with the simplest graphics imaginable... bruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh moment
No, its an awful idea. The entire point of trims is that they're cosmetic and allow your armor to stand out from everyone elses. By adding effects to the trims, one would inevitably be better than the others and everyone would just use that one, completely negating their purpose

Honestly all of these mods fit perfectly and it's sad to me that the reality is that Moment will probably never add any of these 😭
If it's a logical progression/change, Mojang may consider adding it... for the 20 year anniversary of MC.
For me, that's ok. After all, that's just why all this mods exist. Though it's true that it'd be good to have them in vanilla, you always can use these mods if you want to.

I think a hydration mod plus a food/cooking mod is a must-have too, not only does it make food not as useless as right now, it provides benefits too if you do cook better meals.
They slowly update Minecraft because of the fear that it would become more complex and wouldn't remain its simplicity.

I feel like the trims are a little bit too powerful, giving 10+% on any buff *per piece* is a lot, I’d say to split a single 10~15% bonus between every piece and it’ll be balanced.

Very nice addons but I suggest changing the zombie horse one - instead of finding a zombie riding it, how about you make them spawn in abandoned villages?
i think the armor trims will get updated in vanilla to have any substance since personally this update is one of the driest, like I can play 1.20 and not be able to see a difference in the last couple of updates

Worth noting that Minecraft has a train mechanic similar to Linkart. With a Furnace Minecart you can link up to 4 minecarts together.

So, does the Time and Wind mod allow you to extend the daylight cycle altogether, or does it just let you change the day/night ratio? Because I've been wanting a mod that makes the entire daylight cycle longer.
It allows you to set the exact game tick length for each So you can make each however long you want

Nah alot of people (Myself included) would hate it. They were created to be purely cosmetic, but with certain ones being objectively better, you'd fall behind if your favourite was bad, defeating their purpose
Honestly I only feel like the gold and netherite trim effects even fit vanilla at all. Though the gold trim stopping piglins from attacking you sorta invalidates the use of making gold armor.

I don't really like the idea of making armor trim useful, because it's just a decoration, and you can choose any color of the trim without any drawback. so making them useful just gonna make everyone have the same armor

I always thought that the fletching table would be use to craft arrows, not upgrade your bow, and the they made it upgrade the bow doesn't make any sense as adding more string would loosen the bow not tighten it.
Maybe it could be like re-stringing it?

These mods are just what I've been looking for! Thank you :DDD There's a similar mod to that of the potions that I found, it's called AllStackable, it lets you modify the stack limit of all items in minecraft, including all non-stackable items. Didn't tested it yet, but it's promising! I'd so love to be able to store unenchanted armor, saddles, empty shulkers and whatnot in just a few slots. Plus, if you have A TON of certain blocks, you could extend the 64 limit for them. I just don't get why minecraft even has unstackable items in the first place. Except for enchanted items or other special things, they just clog up your chests and inventory. >:c
