Haaa!
Pfft. Kid's stuff. I travel like 3:01
Those hips don't lie.
The best MK movie hands down. This deserves a 4k treatment.
Can't be without the blood and gore.
Shang Tsung actor is truly one of the best actors to portray villains ever!
The actor also beat his own wife lmao
he played a villain in SG-1 s1e3. I swear I thought it was shang tsung
Yes Johnny tsunamis Grandpa is the true winner. lol
The Best 😎
Absolutely
4:00 Although Kitana said "use the element that brings life", I just imagined how funny it would be if Sub-Zero had just gotten hit by the bucket instead. xD
Sub Zero: "Ow! What the hell, man!"
😃
Lmfao! 😂

She could've just said "use water"
Too easy.. gotta be cryptic when passing on a message
Mortal Kombat has always been known for its cryptic messages lol

*I remember when i saw this movie with my friends in 1995. Was Impressive , everyone leave the cinema scream happy. Good memories.*

Mortal kombat conquest was the best one they’ve made in my book
As a Sub-Zero fan, I take pride in knowing it took outside help to take him down. Even Shang was handled solo
my friends call me subzero because i always talk about mk
Pppfftt Scorpion all the way baby!
Same here Sub Zero's legend! 🥶 The epic intro of Sub zero in the beginning of this movie was the only unrivaled flawless victory in the entire franchise! 🍷😷 gotta check it out.
That’s because sub zero is actually one of the best fighters. Especially kwai liang or however bi Hans brothers name is spelled. The only reason he doesn’t get that credit in games is because it’s all revolves around scorpion for whatever reason. 😴
Scorpion is my favorite 💛💛
3:15 This scene is just pure feels. Sub nailed that icy stare and put the fear into Kang when it came to his powers. I remember seeing this in the movie theater as a kid and was blow away. I saw the movie multiple times and simply could not get enough. 1995 MK was ahead of its time and released one of the best soundtracks of all time. 2021 MK movie doesn't even come close.

Ya god damned right!!! Kids nowa days just don't understand!
This is an all time stupid comment. The fight choreography is terrible. The script is terrible. The fight locations are terrible. Gorro's "finish him" is a bonk on the head. Raiden is played by a white guy who cant act. Only good part is Sonya Nipples.

This movie and other 90s classics were to great, never mind the 80s with Ghostbusters and back to the future.
I've always loved, loved, loved that bit where Sub-Zero turns and stares at Liu Kang as the ice on his mask is cracking, god it's such a neat shot.
Yeah and the sound effect of cracking ice as he looks at Liu Kang, it's like he's telling him time to use the spirit bomb (dbz goku attack).
Iconic video game shot
And they have the drum beat kick in perfectly at that moment. Cool fight scene!

”Stick around. Blow off some steam.”
I saw this movie at the cinema in 1995, and it was remarkable for me. The entire soundtrack of the movie is so good, especially the music of Liu Kang's fight with Reptile. Reptile's fight caught him by surprise in the movie, it was ecstasy.
I watched this twice in cinemas back in 1995
Me too.
Liu kang vs reptile still holds the record for being the best fight scene in an MK live action movie.. i wonder wen that record will be broken
That's funny because the fight originally wasn't supposed to happen
@@FrederickJones-bi1fv and it ended up being the best setting the bar. Hopefully in the upcoming mk sequel we may see 1 to break that record i doubt it

thats called being a great athlete
Also if you look very closely you can see it springing a tiny bit on feet contact. You can even see the sealant marks on the edges.
Homeboy does that for a living.
👍
The martial artist who played sub-zero was also a doctor who worked for WWE during the altitude era. Man got skills. 🔥
The part when sub zero flips down the stairs and liu kang jumps with his fist out had me dead 💀
That's how I feel following someone whose really good at dancing.
Seriously like who came up with that and why? Lol
3:04 😂
I may be overthinking it, but it may be referencing a certain habit that we had when playing MK. Maybe you remember your opponent backing off and then you approaching them with a pointless jump instead of just pressing "forward"? Well, that.
That part will always be hilarious. They couldn’t have thought of anything creative for him to do 😂😂🤷♂️
The lights reveal barely any fog up until Subzero appears by which fog starts filling the room. Although the fight is brief, add in the windy howls and the bitter music, the atmosphere created by this sets the stage and is what is magical about this scene. It's already been stated, but the CGI kicks ass too. If only it's successors could have continued this. If only.
Scorpion and Johnny Cage fight was the best fight scene

I prefer the liu kang vs reptile. That one was wild

It's painful to watch Sub-zero killed so easily. I was hoping for a longer fight.
Sub-Zero didn't expect Liu Kang to blatantly cheat.
Sub Zero - "Time to use my iceball attack" Iceball - "battery at 1% Please charge."

3:04 is the most accurate portray of someone playing a video game
So glad to be an early 90’s baby because this is classic. Subzero was my fav.
2:01 how freaking awesome is this entrance.
Man, Talisa Soto, is gorgeous. I remember I had the biggest crush on her back in the day. I wonder why she is not making any mroe movies after 2008-2009.
She's retired. She decided to retire from acting back in 2002 after marrying her husband, Benjamin Bratt. She came out of retirement once in 2009 to appear in a movie that was being directed by her brother-in-law. My guess as to why she retired, would be that she wanted to settle down and focus on having a family.

I'm waiting for a MKU universe. Do solo movies of each character and end with the actual tournament 🤔🤔
For netflix or something. If at all
This is a good idea
I would love to see a movie about Subzero and Scorpion and how Subzero kills him. A MCU format for Mortal Kombat would be great. Would make the deaths of certain characters much more impactful.
The money for me is in those spin off movies. I think a tournament is a boring narrative device. Give me a Jax/Sonya movie or a Scorpion/Sub-Zero movie. I'd watch that shit all day.
that would be a genius idea! everyone's movie ends with an invitation from either Raiden or Shang Tsung to the Mortal Kombat tournament.

man, seeing this scene as a kid in the movie theatre was awesome! people today doesnt realize that by that time, we 'only' still had the first games, so yes, the costumes were on point. the only problem with this fight is that it was too fast! my favorite things about the movie was the awesome soundtrack, chris lambert and the production design, they NAILED the vibe and the surroundings of Outworld, just awesome. Its looks kinda simple for those who hate this movie, but the new one will need to do a hell of a job to top that for sure.

Welp of all three ninjas, Sub-Zero would have beaten Liu if it weren't for Kitana and Raiden's help placing the water there. Sub's ice powers would be to much for Liu Kang to overcome but i guess they had to make this fight short lived but they couldve at least prolonged the fight a bit more.
Yes but the fight was fair because they were both using thier martial arts skills until sub zero could not take it so the pussy used his overpowered ice powers. Also if he froze lui kang he would smash him into peices meaning lui kang is dead and raiden and kitana would know he cant beat the tournament.
