  • This ship is the Galaxy. It's a 70-room cruise ship that was supposed to be used as a hotel, but for whatever reason it's not being used now, probably because of the cost of upkeep on the aging vessel. At one point, in the room with all the dishes, you guys noticed a you thought resembled Aladdin's lamps - those are what we call 'gravy boats' - very common in North American, GB, and many European countries. They're used to hold gravy, a liquid made from the juice from cooking turkeys, roast beef, etc., and mixed with flour to thicken it up - then the thick liquid can be poured over the meat, mashed potatoes, whatever they feel like eating with it. :)

  • In the US on the Mississippi coast, there were small cruise ships parked all along the coastline. They were Casinos/hotels. They were the only place that you could gamble legally, because something about them being in the water made it legal. In 2005 when Hurricane Katrina came thru, there were cruise ships inland, everywhere. After the hurricane cleanup, they made it legal to gamble on land in regular Casino/hotels.

  • Kreosan! Sasha, Anton and third friend! Your spider is called “The Golden Orb Weaver Spider” or “Golden Orb”. Also the second spider you found inside the boat, with very long legs, is a huntsman spider. Again found in south east Asia and Australia. The females have a much larger body than this skinny male. There are many species of “orb” spiders, all of which build large circular webs between trees, thus the name “orb”. This one you found is common all throughout south east Asia and Australia, as well as other continents if I remember. It has very strong construction web, which the sticky web is then hung between. It also weaves golden coloured web strands sometimes as a tangled mess near the centre of the web. This spider is large enough to have caught small birds (like a humming bird), in the rare occasions when one grows very very large. It is not dangerous to humans, however is capable of a bite, which would only produce mild irritation around the wound, and possibly some degree of headache, rarely nausea, and also just a feeling of being lousy, maybe like a mild hang over.

  • The thing you found at the end that you called an aircraft engine is actually a large refrigeration compressor. Inside the room where there were others with the cylinder heads still on, you could see a gas cylinder with a manifold gauge set for troubleshooting the systems. This was likely the machinery room for the fire pumps and refrigeration equipment. They were probably responsible or maintaining cold temperatures for refrigerated cargo and food for the passengers.

Near the Sussex coast in the 90s, I relied on the sky being lighter over the sea to tell me which way was south. Now, inland, I use my phone's GPS every 2 or 3 minutes. We have plenty of thorns, but no spiders that big! 😱😅 5:05 That's called a _vinegaroon_ or "tailed whip scorpion". It has no sting or venom fangs, but can give quite a nasty bite.

  • The spider you found is called an "Argiope" otherwise known as the common garden spider. They're in the orb weaver family I believe. These spiders do not like to bite per sey, but have been known to be somewhat territorial. They are all over the world. They're diets usually consist of smaller invertebrates such as other spiders and insects such as ants, crickets and moths. The only way one of these guys would ever bite you, would be by some type of pressure like.... being on clothing and sitting back on it. ( Which is very unlikely ) Even then, the bite is harmless. You see, they're fangs just aren't large enough to cause any serious damage. They're strictly an outdoors species.

    @firelightandfrolic3670@firelightandfrolic3670 Жыл бұрын
    • In Florida they have a yellow design on them, and yes the bite is painful, they can easily be handled. Not sure if they are native, but then everything seems to somehow end up here in Florida, its like a black hole of sorts.

      @Ed-ty1kr@Ed-ty1kr Жыл бұрын
    • @Ed Yes they are in Florida and called banana spiders and no they're not native. Also the original poster has no fcking idea what he's talking about! The Banana Spider is actually very aggressive especially compared to local American spiders and are far more likely to bite you than most other spiders you'll come across. Secondly the bite is extremely painful compared to anything besides a brown recluse or black widow, they're bites are much worse than a bee sting especially one that size. Finally the fangs are most definitely not too small to bite a person or cause any damage, even a house spider that's smaller than that banana spiders head has fangs large enough to inflict a bite on a pfangserson and inject venom and those aren't even visible by just lookinat_⁶ at the spider, meanwhile the fangs on the banana spider is easily visible especially one as large as in the video...

      @Lotek117@Lotek117 Жыл бұрын
    • @@Lotek117 You are right, their fangs are actually huge if you care to flip one over and take a look. I have handled them before without getting bit for years but I was not annoying the critter in any way, I just let it crawl over my hand and do its thing.... until the day that I got bit. So yeah... needless to say I dont touch them any longer, pive and learn as they say. LOL Anyway, I heard they were brought here in bannana crates, and thats how they got their name.

Its basically a big ac. These kind of systems are also used in big buildings. The heat which is pumped with the refrigeration system is then dumped with these two cooling towers 40:28. The water which is cooled is actually not pure water but a mixture of glycol and water. The glycol lowers the waters freezing point. If you look closely you can also see a big green bottle of refrigerant, which even has a pressure quage hanging on it. The regrigerant needs to be refilled regurlary because such big refrigeration circuits are never a 100% leakproof. 44:25 Centrifugal pumps which are part of the cooling system and used in oder to pump the water, gycol mixture, the pipes are insulatet with armarflex.

  • As many have said, this seems to be utter nonsense. They flew a drone over the island, we didn't see the house or the boat. And the "Mowgli" that certainly seemed staged. Being ridiculous and crazy, like in Pripyat is pretty entertaining. But outright lying about the location and "30 days surviving" to get views and money from us.. And indeed from what I've read there is a whole resort associated with the boat and a skeleton crew that takes payment for visiting the abandoned resort. Urbex is great and all and it's a cool boat. But unfortunately it seems like everything is made up at this point. It's still entertaining but I've literally debated people on the reality of the Pripyat videos, now unfortunately I have to doubt everything. Meh 🤔

    • They do that sort of stuff on TV shows all the time, not to mention a lot of youtubers are the same, views are the top priority. Running Wild with Bear Grylls is a great example, and Survivorman is a good contrast, but shows like Les Stroud's, shows that don't exaggerate or just outright fabricate everything are rare, and I bet there are plenty of campers and survivalists on youtube that don't actually stay outside for as long as they claim or don't have a camper hidden away or a motel 500 feet away, etcetera. Whatever, it's entertainment. What does it really matter in the end? I don't care.
