I’m totally rooting for Ben. How about the rest of you? Who are you all hoping will win?
Anyone EXCEPT Yogesh. To say his interview anecdotes were boring is an understatement as the topic of all of them revolved around trivia brags and how he beat Ken James Brad and many game show legends. He couldn’t even come up with an engaging, heartwarming, funny, thoughtful, or charming story to offer in the interviews. He could’ve talked about his career or podcast to avoid making viewers uncomfortable to watch him.
I’m also rooting for Ben Chan.
Same!!!
Ben 100%
I'm not...there's nothing I can put my finger on exactly, he just doesn't captivate me like a James H or past champions.
I love that they adopted the GOAT format again for the finals 👍🏼 I hope this is a permanent thing!
Wow! Well done.
The most insane FJ! yet! I can’t believe that Ben won from behind, and not only that, because of an incorrect wager by Yogesh.
It was a dilemma for Yogesh just what happened at 2022 TOC semifinal match between Matt A, Sam B and John F.
How can it be, an incorrect wager??? Everyone gets the same category, make their wager, the clue reveals, then the contestants come up with the response. There are no incorrect in wagering but there are incorrect responses.
@@tbone3972of course there are incorrect wagers, for example - if I would have 10000 before FJ, and my closest rival had 5400, I'd have to wager at least 801 to guarantee myself a win if I answer correctly. Assuming we both know the answer, my rival bets everything, and I fail to wager at least 801, I don't win the game because of an, drumroll please... Incorrect wager!
@@ZdzichuWiertara96 Well you’re right because you assumed. Most people are just not good with math.
Sorry, but I’m legally blind; it could have been an elephant for all I knew
Omg! I got it right. I'm not sure which corner of my memory I dragged the answer out of, but I wish it happened more often lol
Fun fact: This is the first $1 win since Rotimi Kukoyi ($16,001) defeated Pam Warren ($16,000).
Yogesh fumbled that harder than me as "wide receiver" in middle school flag football
Wow! Love final Jeopardys like this. The unexpected is the most fun.
Spoiler below: I’m rooting for Ben to win this tournament, and boy did he deliver today when hope seemed lost. Looking forward to how to this ends!
Way to go, Ben! A win by a dollar counts as much as a win by $50, 000.
I love the music from Peer Gynt but never knew what it was about. I need to read about the play.
I wonder if I will live to see the winner of this TOC. I might not make it 😂
Congratulations ben on winning game 1 in toc
Ben Chan, you got lucky.
and sometimes, that's enough.
I never read the play, but I knew the answer because of a beloved suite. BTW, the outcome of tonight's game was most satisfying!
That was a cold blooded wager by the winner…really doubted that was going to work out for them.
Gooder than me
I’ve never even heard of that play. Don’t you hate when that happens to me??
Not really…
@@petermccarthy8066 How rude! 👅
Sorry Paul, no offence intended, but why would anyone who doesn’t know you care about such a personal observation?
@@petermccarthy8066 I was just kidding, hence the tongue.
I’m legally blind, therefore it could have been anything to me; let’s leave it at that😀😀have a good one…
bump
I like the theatre of the absurd.
Rudolf
Yogesh...what was THAT? Zero???
I got this Final Jeopardy! clue right.
And why do we care?
Oh that was a big loss for Troy.
Winning 3 games is “the best of 7?” How? Somebody alert the NBA, MLB, NHL!!! They think you have to win FOUR to get to “the best of seven!”
The real truth is that most people are great at math!
I guessed it was an ibsin play - mainly cos he’s the only international playwright from that era that I know. But was never going to get the name…
I was actually relieved that this was not a triple stumper. That would have been an epic failure at this level of competition. Even if you are not familiar with the plot of the play, you should at least be familiar with Edvard Grieg's composition. Yogesh' wager makes zero sense. A wager that relies on a miss by the third-place contestant shows a complete lack of self-confidence which is really hard to justify when you have reached the final in the TOC.
I thought of Ibsen because of reindeer and that they are like in some Norwegian place. But all I could remember was 'A Doll's House'. Hell I think I remember reading Hedda Gabler but Peer Gynt I didn't recall if I did read it. Blast it all!

Watching Yogesh lose due to a minor miscalculation on the first final match today was satisfying and delicious to watch because it’s evidence that his ego is larger than his wealth of knowledge.
What are you on about? Yogesh wagering $0 is a clear sign that he didn't think he would solve it. If anything, this tells him he should be more confident in himself in the upcoming games.
@@Vermilion360a lot of viewers are actively rooting for Yogesh to lose in the finals because they have a memory of his bad attitude from his original run.
@@Vermilion360Yogesh would had won, had Ben got his FJ wrong but it backfired.
@jeopardy! When will the contestants be together again since season 36 so can FINALLY shake each other's hands and hug without having to walk so far from the covid podiums just to do it?
when covid actually goes away lol
@@kentekuzanReally? It’s 95% gone.
Peer gynt that correct. Ben Chen way to go 🎉
