  • Breaking Paul Heyman may be the toughest thing in WWE. This man has been so professional that even outside WWE programs, he holds on to his typical advocate character so eloquently.

    @Gamerloaders@Gamerloaders6 ай бұрын
    • His heartiest and most wholesome was when Invasion was in full swing. I'm pretty sure it was the PPV or maybe Survivor series. Heyman was being his dickish self cutting a promo as a an entrance hits. And JR full of Piss and Vinegar cuts over him and screams. "JIM CORNETTE WILL BE REPLACING YOU TOMORROW, PAL!" Paul tried carry on but just laughs his ass off and tries spin it. But no denying JR got him.

    • In Dustin's timeline of life reality, he was the character of Golddust during the time he was in the worst of his life behind the scenes. Addictions, booze, his divorce from Terri, the death of dad Dusty. Maybe the character allowed him to hide it all.

    • @@frasermackenzie7275 I've theorized the same thing for Scott Hall, and why he thrived on being "Razor Ramon". Scott Hall was an addict with PTSD because he killed a man once. But "Razor Ramon" is this cool guy, oozing machismo, a "bad guy" you had to love. Being able to live as a character might help hide the pain.

      @OptimumTaurus@OptimumTaurus3 ай бұрын
    • @OptimumTaurus you're absolutely right. In an interview with Scott Hall, he describes it almost exactly like that. "Razor Ramon has no problems. He's living his best life.....better than you. Scott has problems- Razor NEVER does." I'm paraphrasing here, but yeah.

    • Some of them also have to be considered among the most impressive feats of athleticism - like he'll fall on his back and all of a sudden he's in the air after I guess jumping but using his head instead of his legs? It's wild. I also feel that Rock breaking Michael Cole segment benefits from some context. Those men he's telling off are supposed to be police officers who are investigating the attempted vehicular homicide of Stone Cold using a car that was rented in The Rock's name. They hadn't asked him anything unreasonable or accused him of anything, they basically said they were just doing their due diligence, and that was apparently enough to inspire The Rock's response in that clip. It's one of the funniest things I've ever seen - just out of nowhere with no provocation he's just laying into these cops for the pure love of the game (the game being testing the limits of the artform of crafting verbal tableaux vivants of the insertion of foreign rectal bodies)

  • FYI, it's not considered breaking character EVERY SINGLE TIME someone laughs. Sometimes the laughter goes along with it. Here's a hint, if the wrestler tries to hide his laugh, that's him breaking character.

  • a bunch of these are classic “i can’t believe they said that” which can be attributed on-air to acknowledging the barb or simply shock and disappointment…but still broke them the best part is nobody could stay in character and only Undertaker did: it was just who he was and how mentally into character he got

  • Great Video. Some of the wrestlers tried to hide their laughter very good, so I might have missed one of the other when it was on TV. You also often hear that it was nearly impossible to get the Undertaker break character. Stone Cold was one of thise who took it as a challenge, every time he could. 😂
