Lesnar post UFC made sense, Undertaker and Kane worked for their gimmicks, but Hogan and Ultimate Warrior were ridiculoussss
It’s what makes them bad wrestlers
... so it's okay for Undertaker to do it because it works for his gimmick, but not Warrior? Hulk, I get, his gimmick is just generic good guy. But Warrior's whole thing is being some alien unstoppable powerhouse. Actually, y'know what, it worked for Hogan too, because he was basically a superhero. Plus in his usual match, before he starts no selling he gets ass kicked the entire time. I think you just don't like silly wrestling which is okay but you can't just desecrate men who made the business MATTER for 20 years.
I thought Warrior's gimmick was being a racist piece of sh!t.
@@harryhanz1690 boo hoo
Lmao 😂😂😂@@harryhanz1690
I give Lesnar credit for selling his no-selling, as it isn't really typical "no-selling". In those clips, excepting the silly kendo stick shots, he didn't ignore his opponent's moves. Instead he sold the impacts, and then made it look like he was putting in effort to keep standing or to keep his head in the game. He'd go to a knee, or stagger back, or have to shake it off, or at least do something.
Yeah. Lesnar is one of the best sellers out there.
Yeah it was lesnars charecter to take the damage and recover quickly
tbf also with the Braun ones Braun was stiffing him and had to get some reciepts
Lesnar's no sells legitimately look like he was a full blown silverback gorilla getting hit instead of just a human, his mannerisms were incredibly dynamic and showed the impact but still looked realistically dull.
Like hitting a spring - yeah, it takes the impact, but it'll re-stabilize
Hogan hulking up and pointing the finger at Stone Cold only for Austin to flip Hogan the bird and give him the stunner is the greatest clip we never got to see in WWE history
Hell yeah
Hmmm... Even as a skeptical guy, I am hard at work thinking up something greater than that... It just might be, it just might be...
@@YuckFouTubeX I can’t imagine a more iconic moment that could’ve and should’ve happened IF it wasn’t for EGOs
@@jest3167 Ego's as in having an ego? Without that we would not even have had opinions at all, so praise the Ego but use it responsibly, we are all egoists in the end and yet calling someone else egoistical for not sharing the same viewpoints is the most selfish thing one can do If you attribute EGO to something else please tell me what you mean, sounds like a moment I would like to watch
@@YuckFouTubeX Bruh it’s a pretty simple statement tbh IDK how that needs to be elaborated on 🤷♂️ If there is anything that contributed more to Hulk Hogan and Stone Cold not having a match at WMX8 than their egos fill me in 😂
Lesnar made sense since he’s portraying pretty much that fridge sized final boss of the WWE with three life bars. He organically builds up the selling over the course of the match once his armor has been dented.
Good analogy. Out of nowhere gets a health boist
BRO NO SELLING MAKES WRESTLING WORSE
What pisses me off about the Steroid Golem Brock Lesnar being pushed to the moon is that Ken Shamrock was never even in the main event picture. He ended up getting let go because he didn't want to do an incest angle (WTF is it with Vince McMahon and incest?). It's bullshit. The only difference between them is that Lesnar is bigger. But WWE has a fuckton of big guys, that alone doesn't mean shit. I'll never understand why a steroid abuser who walked out so he could go suck at football got pushed like Godzilla while Shamrock lingered in the midcard.
The thing is Lesnar does sell, but he doesn't flinch and twists in pain, he sells the impact, takes a step back, and keeps his composure. Because you know, is his CHARACTER@@MR_.-PERFECT
Paul bearer raising the urn for undertaker to sit up was so iconic and memorable for me, and probably for a bunch of others
Most certainly. He creeped me out far more than undertaker.
Paul bearer is still the greatest manager of all time for me.
But thanks to Paul Heyman also he discover Mark Calloway
I think it sucks how the Undertaker slowly slipped out of character to become just Mark Calaway the biker. His early years with grey/purple gloves were the best.
did anyone notice jr say he sat up like the brothertaker 😂😂😂
Taker getting up right before that Yoko splash was amazing, and could have gone horribly wrong if their timing had been even a little off. Still one of my favorite moments.
I was thinking the exact same thing
When the Rock kicked taker back down mid-people's elbow😂
IKR laughed my ass off, gives so many vibes of Luffy in shoving the zombie back on the ground in thriller bark arc xD
Undertaker - Hey There The Rock - Wooh ! DONT INTERRUPT MY PEOPLES ELBOW !!!
I'd imagine that the Rock fell victim to it at one point and eventually got a sense of "Oh not this bullshit again!" any time afterward.
When Undertaker did his trademark sit up, you knew things were going to get serious.
I've read that even Mark Calloway got tired of the "Frankenstein" style of wrestling. He was capable of doing more so the "American Badass" was like a new lease of life for him, and getting to sell and do more storytelling in the ring made him step up is game in many ways.
That's not "No sell" that's trademarking special powers and black magic
@@Marvellous132 Wrestling the likes of Bret Hart, Ken Shamrock, Chris Benoit and Kurt Angle changed him as well. So he took about 6 months off, went from 330 to 280 and started flying around the ring and using a lot of different submission moves. In my opinion, it rejuvenated his career.
@@8Bitorbustthat’s exactly it.. not an opinion.. but these goofies out here… (Typo)
@@ctbcardinal That's where Taker does his best work. When faced with Technical Wrestlers.
Undertaker sitting up in the body bag is hilarious! 😂
Taz's no selling was definitely part of the character. That chairshot to the face by sabu must've hurt. Lol
He's got the Brooklyn fighting spirit.
All of these guys was there gimmick
Kane and undertaker is like horror movies when they keep get up and walk to catch up. No matter how fast you run. Samoan wrestlers is actually hilarious. Especially when undertaker keep trying to head butt ya not once but twice lol
be real, Hulk's finishing sequence involved him no selling, but 90% of most Hogan matches are him selling. He no sells during a comeback, but for it to be a comeback he needs to have sold in the first place.
Exactly
@spike3082 Hogan could sell his ass off. One of the best sellers in history.
You're damn right I grew up watching Hogan from the 80's onward
Agreed 💯 . I came fo post this exact same thing. Hogan definitely sold more opponent attacks than some on this list.
PRIME WCW GOLDBERG NO SELLING LOVED IT WHY... WHY WOULD HE BE SOOO IMPRESSIVE DESTROYIN MUTHA FUCKAS... THEN SELL LIKE SHIT IM THE DESTROYER HERE MADE HIS CHARACTER EVEN MORE IMPRESSIVE... SHIT HE SAID IT DAY ONE... YOU NOT GONE RIC FLAIR , SHAWN MICHAELS AND THE ROCK IS TO THE STONE COLD STUNNER ME AND CLOWN ME GOOFY !!! HELL NAW AND THATS WHY PPL HATE GOLDBERG TODAY.. JELIOUS CAUSE HE DESTROYED SOME OF THE TOP NAMES AND REFUSE TO GET CLOWN.... SO ALL YALL NEW KIDS WATCHING GOLDBERG AT 55 AND SAY HE WEAK....PLEASE BUT THEY NEVER COMMENT BOUT HIS WCW DAYS.... DUDE PRIME GOLDBERG WILL WHOOP ANYBODY IN CURRENT ERA
I guess back in the 80-90’s the wrestlers had a bigger “larger than life” persona so them no selling make them feel like superheroes to the fans. I also like how they keep the continuity of Samoans having hard heads
That's pro wrestling than the mystique goes away when you watch Joe Joyce knock out Joseph Parker or Tai Tuivasa getting knocked by Ciryl Gane and Sergei Pavlovich.
7:48 All due respect to Taz and Hook, but Hook does not look intimidating enough to no sell 😭
Damn 🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭😭
@@retronerds6884 SOMEONES GOTTA SAY IT ☠️
He stopped doing the no selling for big moves pretty early, thankfully.
It's the hair tbh...
😅😅 so Goldberg literally caused most of his own injuries during his career?! I'm sure completely unintentional obviously but still 😂
The fiend is one of the wrestlers that comes to mind, Him no-selling 11 curb stomp made him look like a legitimate treat, Which made him easily able to defeat wrestlers like Daniel bryan and Seth rollins. The fact they made him lose the universal title in that fashion doesn't make any sense at all.
It was a bit overboard... that's why the match is much more hated
no we hate that match for not having a true ending esp considering its a hell in a cell @@rahultheundertaker
Jon Moxley sells nothing. he’s a terrible wrestler.
The Fiend made no sense at all. Bray Wyatt couldn't wrestle, couldn,t sell and set pro wrestling back to the dumbed down cartoon 80s
@@staalhard4044 That’s true, he was a basic mediocre wrestler. The fiend should have been more like mankind in regard to he could take punishment but would still sell. tweaking the character to be more believable would have been better
"He sat right up just like the BrotherTaker" 😂
I thought that's what I heard
Just like the (his) brother, Taker... cos they're kayfabe brothers.
glad im not the only one who heard that
No selling having no sense is a major problem in AEW..
And when you look at who's doing the no selling it makes no sense
Moxley sucks
I heard it’s a bunch of kicking out of finishers in every match. Any truth to that ?
@@retronerds6884 absolutely, orange cassody kicking out of tombstone or pile driver is not believable.. Hell him beating wardlow is more of shock..
@@MR.__G yeah, the finishers are not that protected.. The wrestlers tend to do every move possible.. In wwe, every wrestler has its own unique moveset which describes their character.. In aew, there's no fix moveset.. While it's good for unpredictability but it waters down the impact of the moves.. Like a finisher for one wrestler becomes a 1 count for others..
When Jeff Hardy smashed Brock in the face with that chair that was the moment I knew Brock was not a normal man.
😂😂😂
He got a huge concussion
He took one from Matt right after lmao , he’s a freak
Yeah, those chair shots and he never left his feet... that was something special. A great introduction to the character! That and the decimation of Spike! Lol
The thing with Hulks no sells where his big gasping breaths, looking around bewildered like he has no idea what's going on, it actually made it look like the dude was truly that jacked up and wasn't just immune
Samoa Joes walk away from aerial damage is a great one too
"Nope."
For Joe its more of a Stores Closed than a no sell🤣🤣🤣🤣
The complaining mid air makes it even more funnier
No sells from people other than the typical Samoans are more interesting to watch ngl
It's a shame that Hogan's opponents didn't realize that all they had to do was stop before that last punch before he points and they'd be fine.
I'll never forget how scary Taker was when he debuted at Survivor Series in '88. Perfect counter to hulking out. We thought he was a zombie with those eyes and Paul Bearer chanting to the urn. Great shtick. He was my favorite within a year and still is. The Excellence of Execution was my second.
It was Survivor Series 90
1990
My mistake. For some reason, 88 stood out in my mind. Maybe that was the sneak peak of No Holds Barred or something.
@unclejoker9975 it was 88 ur right, I had to verify 1st.
*Ultimate Warrior gets hit by a move* - dance mode activated
It was funny the clip of him no selling the Pedigree is in here. Didn't that get him fired? Wasn't HHH supposed to go over and Warrior screwed that up?
This is an extremely underrated wrestling channel, I put all my wrestling friends on to it. Much love ❤️
Much appreciated!
18:24 you sure that was the spirit of Hulkamania or was it all the “vitamins” and “training” 😂😂
Nah it was all the "prayers" 😂
Same kind of "vitamins" and "training" that Brock had
Lol the Rock just kicks Undertaker after he sits up like "Oh hell no you ain't getting me boy"
Go back and watch Hogans matches....he sold like crazy till the finish. Everything was about building to the Hulk up which popped the crowd like crazy
14:53. That's how to deal with a no sell.
Most of these aren’t “no selling” it’s simply how the matches were booked. No selling is technically guys like Brody (who was an honourable mention) who wouldn’t sell off their own back even though they should have. Hogan for example was a brilliant seller, he could get sympathy when being beat down. He was 6’7 and around 300 pounds but could sell like Ricky Morton. The Hulk up was booked, it was part of his gimmick. And the crowd would go wild.
Brodys character wasn't designed to sell much. But he did register
Hogan is and always will be a Walrus Face
You can say whatever you want about hogan. But the hulk up and finger point are iconic
I don’t know how some wrestlers can no sell getting hit with chairs, guitars, put through tables etc. You gotta love the adrenaline
Remember: whenever a commentator says "steel" they actually mean aluminum. The "steel" chairs they use are not only made of aluminum, they actually would not function as usable chairs. All of the reinforcements and screws and the like that allow chairs to hold weight are removed. So if you tried to sit on one it would just collapse if you weighed even half as much as the average wrestler does. The guitars and tables are also made of cheap materials designed to break as easily (and dramatically) as possible.
@@smward87a good example of a guitar not being “gimmicked” was when Honky Tonk (I believe it was him) whacked Jake the Snake in the head with a real guitar. It didn’t explode like normal. It made a sickening thud
@@reifigueroa1306 Exactly.
@reifigueroa1306 yep, that guitar was not gimmicked. Honky immediately switched to easily breakable ones.
High pain tolerance. I guess it is like spicy food.
Kane shaking his head at Maven 11:23 I love that type of thing in the background during Royal Rumbles.
12:52 When you switch off the TV, thinking your dad is asleep 🤣🤣
Relateable af 🤣
I mean it was pretty much Kanes roll to not sell. 😅
Hogan: This doesn't work for me brother! You should've put 20 of mine alone in this Top 10 list. 💪💪
Vader would have made a terrific heel WWF champion
The best Undertaker sit up is when The Rock was doing the people’s elbow and kicks right back down 😂😂😂
2:21 that sound he makes right after bonking his head 😂😂😂
I love when Taker no sells. It never gets old if he sits up immediately.
Sting's no sells were goated
Giant Gonzalez said hold my rear!
Mil Mascaras actually did sell for other wrestlers like the Destroyer during his run in Japan or his lucha contemporaries, however he never sold for wrestlers he felt weren't "good enough", yeah a massive ego on that guy.
The brothertaker 😂
The gong when Taker kept sitting up had me laughing. That was the best.
Rock kicking Undertaker when he got up always mades me chuckle 😂
Jerry Lawyler was one of the best No Sellers too… he used to power up and pull the strap down! Search Jerry… and you’ll be satisfied.
leaderface body + Jason ability + Micheal Myres evilness = Kane
That undertaker sit up gotta be the sickest no sell
Goldberg acting like the Tasmanian Devil before matches was the highlight
2:52 La Parka is such a legend. He knows he's about to get speared, might as well get his famous dance in before it happens.
Still one of my favorite childhood moments watching WCW
He needs to go back to making tacos and BEANS
😂always know I'm in for a treat whenever you post something keep it up
The Deadman is and will ALWAYS be the king of the no sell💯💯
That sit up where Yoko was about to deliver his traditional bonzi drop was a bit nerve racking. Just from knowing that with things of that nature there is such a small margin for error makes that clip hard tk watch at times.
Orange Cassidy and Penta destroyed the Canadian Destroyers reputation with them doing it over and over and over
Lesnar is a great seller. Look up his match with CM Punk and his matches with Undertaker. Also Hogan sold most of the matches p being hurt and he only no sold when it was appropriate at the end of the match for his big comeback. You might wanna correct your caption to say “sells” and not “sellers” Guys like Lesnar and Hulk know the business way better than you or any of us. Anything they did in a wrestling ring meant something. Something guys like the Young Bucks and Pentagon have no clue how to do. Add THEM to worst Sellers!
Love how The Rock the only Samoan to not appear on the list
In my opinion he's the weakesti mean he sells in a perfect way but also he's the most successful wrestler in Samoan the electrifying man in sports and entertainment, Brahma bull the Great one the people champ and he's rival with Stone Cold in Microphone he's run in Attitude era is Great
He's the most successful followed by Reigns nd I find it ironic that neither of them touched a full on Samoan stereotypical gimmick. Coincidence? Hmm I think they might of realized the box it would put them in. Yoko nd Rikishi were so close in their Samoan escape but then got stranded in Sumocity lol
@EtherTitan yes they did. Riman was a full island gimmick as LeeKee in early NXT. And the Rock as 'blue chipper' Rocky Maivia was 100% doing the Samoan thing.
I never understood the part where Hogan points at his opponent and the crowd says "YOU!" as if the person betrayed Hogan.
I think it was more like he's gonna give you payback
Warrior freaking out, Hulk hulking up, Tatankas war cry.... those days were the best... someone should start doing that again
Tatanka undefeated in 92, 93! 2 x IC champ, 3 x TT title, 2 x KOTR (1992,1995), 1 x EU champ.
Shuddup oinker! 🐷
Another amazing video 👏🏻
13:53-14:04 😂😂😂 Rock be like "keep ur ass down there" 😂😂😂
I know Hogan's no-sell is the most popular one, But the fiend is another mention, Him kicking out of 11 curb stomp like it's nothing made him look like a legit treat.

The steel chairs to the head with no reaction are crazy haha, countless wrestlers have out of character said that they still hurt even with the right technique so i cant imagine it straight to the head like damn
when someone the size of lesnar, kane, undertaker or goldberg does it, it's pretty cool to be honest. otherwise it's kinda silly. warrior doing it just makes me laugh.

I grew up on Kane and Undertaker's situps. Made them look so invincible.
No selling makes sense when it fits the character, like Undertaker or Kane when they sit up or Brock post UFC. Samoan wrestlers no selling headbutts as well.
😂😂😂I think the no selling fits the big guys like Lesner, Goldberg, Kane and Taker lol the reactions from the other wrestlers when they thought they had them always makes me laugh. I enjoyed the hell out of this video😂😂😂😊😊😊
The ultimate warrior and sting were my favorites of this list 😎
9:55 Meng (aka Haku) had this thing he'd do that I always found simultaneously humorous and badass. Someone would ram his head into the top turnbuckle once or twice, then Meng would headbutt the top turnbuckle three or four times then turn and yell in his opponent's face.
The rock's elbows on taker when he sits up are hilarious
Jeff Jarrett hitting with sting with a guitar at bound for glory were omg in 2006.
Thanks Wrestling Flashback
Lol. This is great. Funny as hell too. But it was a part of growing up. So happy I'm going back through on peacock. A lot of good, great matches.
Keep rewinding that undertaker situp compilation i forgot i was watch a list video😂😂
7:53 that's really taz's son he looks nothing like him at all
whose entrance music's first words were said in the beginning of the video?
I will always love the Undertaker Sit Ups with the Funeral Bell
I dont mind the no sell as long as it fits the gimmick and no politic bullshit in backstage for selfish reasons. In Hogan's case however, I hate it and Idc if its his gimmick
All pro wrestlers politic lol especially when they get a top spot… Piper refused to put anyone over… Undertaker used his stroke to end CM Punks first title reign cause he didn’t like how he dressed… you think Flair because a 16 time champion without politics involved?
yes its part of Hogan's gimmick to no sell i mean he is the biggest hero in wrestling 80s
Hogan represents a 80's superhero bro..not everyone has to be a undertaker or Goldberg to not sell.
@@andrewft31 Sure, how he dressed was punks problem, not how he treated other people or his work ethic a declaring himself locker room leader.
I like it on the big theme characters, like undertaker and Kane It makes sense if they are supposed to be undead themed or whatever I also feel like undertaker sells most moves he just also does the deadman sit up and recovers quick sometimes. He always look like he gets hurt tho but most of the others just feel kinda lame
Also happened in the WWE games. On Svr the big guy's won't sell your hits when you hit them.
Once you put Brock Lesnar on this list, I was completely not interested with this video. Opinions are opinions but the FACT is, Brock is one of the greatest in-ring sellers in wrestling history. When someone works on his legs, he limps throughout the entire match. When he got eliminated from the rumble by Drew McIntyre, he was clutching onto his ribs and limping away slowly. That's just a few examples.
2:27 literally my two favorite wrestlers I really enjoyed watching razor Ramon AKA Scott Hall wrestle because I grew up with him and Goldberg because well he's Goldberg thank you thank you thank you awesome video
At least of all these Sting showed the most credibility for no selling. He was once hit in the face with a baseball bat by Kurt Angle. A botch, with pulled back, but legit shot to the face and the Stinger kept going like a champ.
3:52 was that law and order svu
Did I just see Sting did a "Suck it Dx sign" on 15.36 min?!!
DX wasn’t the first group to use the crotch chop. nWo members were using it before DX’s debut, introduced by Sean Waltman who was in the nWo first as Syxx before going back to the WWF as X-Pac.
@@axebomber2108 oh yeah now I remember, forget about that. DX kinda popularized the crotch chop.
The sit up by Taker and Kane is iconic.
A lot of these guys still registered the move but they’re character is that they can just tank hits and shrug em off so they still sold
Talking about Hulk Hogan and then showing Big Show in a Hulkster suit 😂😅
You forgot plumber moxley. Not his gimmick, I think he just doesn’t know how to
Grayson Waller learner the hard way, recently.

Those fools, the only thing the Hulkster sells is merchandise.
"Wrong head Wrong chair" absolute classic
It's one thing to fight through a move that doesn't hurt. It's a whole different world of bad ass SOB to fight through one that does.
When Kane was indestructible for his first 8 months, it was awesome. Then once he lost to Austin the night after KOTR, that was it. Went from withstanding chairs, metal tools, tombstones, fire......to losing to a low blow rollup and then eventually to an x-factor. 💀
Zeus, Giant Gonzalez, The Giant, Great Khali, Kurrgan, (Z gangsta, The Big Slow).
Rock's people elbows to Taker were always hilarious
Those canadian destroyers were silly like that is an devastating looking move how are you going to use it an simple move
You should try and even out the audio levels a bit more your voiceover is much more quiet than the clips
