  • I would pick wild blueberries by the buckets with my grandparents in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. They would freeze them and we ate them year round. I should get back into the habit of eating blueberries consistently. So much of what I ate and the great habits I picked up from my grandparents is a big reason I look like I’m in my twenties at 39.

  • Cultivated blueberries (garden blueberries or American blueberries) only have anthocyanins in the skin, while wild blueberries are blue through and through. Common wild blueberries have as much as 70 percent more anthocyanins (antioxidants) than garden-grown berries and grocery store berries.

    • Actually, that's not true for blueberries. By Freezing and thawing the cell membrane releases more polyphenols (antioxidants) than fresh berries have, Proven by science. So frozen are better than fresh in this case. Freezing blueberries can cause the cell membranes to break due to the formation of ice crystals. This disruption of the cell structure makes the anthocyanins, a type of polyphenol, more available

  • Wow, I do not know that blueberries had all these wonderful benefits and they are all very supportive of the body. Wow I buy them frozen organic blueberries as someone had mentioned that they are very expensive but if you buy the big bag frozen blueberries, you’ll get twice as much for what you would pay for one small 6 ounce package even if it wasn’t 6 ounces. As long as you organic, you’re good to go then of course I get them from Costco. But I will eat more of them now since they have so many health benefits this video was done with a lot of a lot of research very well put together. Please keep them coming on whichever subject you are working on, no really talk about the Apple that would be a good subject or maybe some others have a suggestion again thank you thank you aloha from Hawaii

  • Blueberries also do wonders to eliminate tear stains for dogs. We tried everything we could find online and it didn’t make a difference, then a trainer recommended we try putting 5-10 blueberries in with each feeding and within a couple of weeks we noticed a huge difference. It’s been over a year now and our dog is free of tear stains. If you’re frustrated with nothing helping with tear stains give it a shot, it worked wonders for us.

This is not a comercial, is just to say, how cheap they could be. There are other stores that carries them a similar price. So there’s no excuse.
