  • In 1980, the city seemed very different from what it is currently. First, there was a huge woodland expanding in the northwestern part of the village. Furthermore, there were only two main streets, which surrounded the little housing area, a hotel, and the marsh. Adding, on the coast, there was only a tea room, whereas near the river mouth was situated an isolated bank. Currently, the landscape is almost totally different. To the east of the bank, new holiday cottages have been erected, along with a new street, which allows to cross the river and reach the western part of the village. Furthermore, on the coast, a new restaurant, and the hotel has been built overtaking the space left by the tea room, which has been erased. Finally, a new retirement village has been added, as well as an exclusive boat club on the river.

  • The two maps depict the present Islip city center and the proposed plan for its rebuilding. Overall, the plan is to expand the area by building new facilities which include a good road network. Currently, Islip city center consists of shops, residential houses, a school, and a park. The main road is in-between the shops and, the street that leads to the school is closed at the end. According to the proposal, only the school and shops located around the middle of the city center will remain in position. The most significant development will be the construction of a dual carriageway, which will extend from the cul-de-sac to the countryside and around the city. There is a reduction of the park size to accommodate new housing, while the main road is re-constructed into a walkway for pedestrians only. The shops near the countryside will be demolished to make way for a bus station, shopping center, car park and new housing on the northeast with its road entrance.

PP makes sense if I consider just the changes that happened as something changed in the past and stop....changes in a past range.

  • START+OVERALL The diagrams illustrate the coastal village of Seaville in two different years, 1980 and 2010. Overall, the city over the last 30 years has experienced a huge touristic boom, that led to the development of new facilities. Firstly, the woodland has been chopped down to make way for the new golf course in the northwest. Another important landscape modification is the construction of several touristic facilities, such as the hotel, the boat club, as well as the restaurant. Finally, the marsh has been drained and cleaned to erect new residential area, with many permanent houses

    • @@nurfidaetikasari7539 I am not gifted when it comes to writing, but the way this instructor logically develop her ideas without breaking a sweat, first got my attention and then my curiosity. For this particular video and this unique instructor, her ability to write something like that on the go really begs the question, how can a person reach that level? There is no easy answer for it. Several factors may influence someone's writing. For instance, the type of education they have received, books they've read, including articles and academic related content et cetera... I do believe with persistence, hard work, commitment, we'll all eventually improve over time. Be that as it may, I envy English natives as they will always have an advantage over us, an edge, something which we, foreigners, may work and strive towards for very extended time periods since this our second our third language, and let me say that again to be clear. It might even take us years to reach the same level of writing, and in the worst case scenario, decades... Another point I would like to say is that a while ago, my purpose was to write sufficiently meaning reaching the the word count, that is no longer the issue, currently my problem is either Iwrite 250-300 and I waste 35 min trying to finish a task that it is supposed to take 20 minutes, or I write 150-170 and keep thinking about running out of time . It ends up being average because of the pressure and limits that keeps me tied and stranded. I bet this is exactly the purpose of the task, to give a person 20 minutes and see what they can squeeze out. Can you be brief, precise, accurate, remain relevant, and mention all the details. It takes me more then 5 minutes to plan for Task 1, a bit of thinking to find the correct words not the mention spelling, grammar, range( substituting words). The only way I can finish on time, at least for now, is to plan it all in my head, or else I run out of time and steal from that which is allocated to Task 2 which will eventually lead to failure since the latter takes 40 minutes and trust me, you need every second of it. To sum up, the most powerful skill one could posses is the ability to be concise, to compress a 1000 words article to a mere 150 interesting one and yet remain relevant without the reader knowing about it. Same content, different length, and that my friend, is when you know you've done it. Well, I hope someday I get there.
