Those are 1950 style Turbine since the T55 was first developed, progressive increases in airflow, overall pressure ratio, and turbine inlet temperature have more than tripled the power output of the engine. Not sure why the Title MILITARY powered turbine pleasure boat?
Big turbine with #6 speedmaster drives. for sure you have to be careful on the power as the turbine engines can overpower those drives if you're not careful when getting onto plane.

T54? are you sure? I have heard of the T56 or the T53 but not a T54
T53-L13 is 1450-1500hp. T53-703 is 1850-2000hp. T55 is 2750-3000hp. These are all the high-HP Lycoming Marine ratings I could find. No T-56. The QATAR boat that set the LOTO speed record(likely never to be exceeded now with the short courses of 3/4 mile) was said to have twin 4000hp turbines. Of what make idk, maybe GM.

Ih have a boat that carries twice as many....can swim or fish from it...has a bathroom...a kitchen...great sound system...and places for ppl to sleep. I may not get someplace as fast as that boat but we have a lot more fun getting there!!
