I finally had a chance to pull the best clips from all of the different camera angles from the first test run of the Warlock Project. This project far exceeded my wildest expectation. What A Rush as you can see from the expressions on our face.

    • My max fuel consumption is only 120 gph but you cant do that kind of power for only a few seconds. Average consumption is about 60 gph.

    • If it sounds anything like the aircrafts the engine would have came from, it shouldn’t sound as high pitched as the video makes it out to be. Loud as hell though but the smell of burning jet fuel and the start ups must make it all worth the while

  • Off and on, off and on the throttle, why isnt the engine run on full? Is it running bad on full, inbalanced (turbine engine needs to have perfect balance) or not enough fuel to run true?

    • 1300hp, 1150 ftlb's of torque. 0-100 mph in 10 seconds, 40-100 in 4 seconds. My top speed has been 134 mph @ 52% torque load. The prop will run out of speed around 150 mph with a 26" prop.

    • Silly question. If it's turbine power, is the prop always used. Turbines operate on thrust, not a physical output. Correct?? I'm missing the transition from thrust to prop, I think???

    • @@jeffallen7923 This is a turboshaft engine. Similar to a jet but the power takeoff is not used to power a fan like a modern jet but instead a shaft which was originally coupled to a helicopter rotor, airplane propellor, electric generator or other low speed use like this boat propeller.

    • they do all the time in New Zealand. Watch the videos. Saw two of them at same time with 280 ft ropes skiing at 135mpg next to each other for miles. Incredible

    • Belt drive accessories.... Climate Control pump (just incase 200mph wind isn't cold enough) , Massage Seat heat pump (to ease the "Pucker Factor at 250mph), and Oxygen Generator for operations at or above Mach 2 !!! 😄😁😎

  • Mind blowing thing being, this guy was basically idling at 50knts from the sound/look of it... the little blips of power he’d give it came no where even close to spooling this thing up to its true capabilities...So scary, I wonder if he’s ever just buried the throttle for a few seconds?! 🤔😳😬😬😬😬😬😛!!!!!!!

    • No longer than 6 seconds. Reached 134 mph in 6 seconds from 40 mph. Backed the throttle off to sustain 134 for 5 miles at 52% torque load.

    • Where do you gather that thought from, the flames coming out of the exhaust pipe? If so that's intentional for show. Raw fuel dumped into the pipe and lit with streak fuel. "After Burner" for the lack of a better word. Show only.

    • @@pilot3016 Yep, She's a good turbine. Never had a hot start on this one. She hits about 1150 F' max on startup. The key is to have good hot batteries to get it spooled up quick.

  • What a cool project. I would think I could build this setup for about $50k plus my time. I just finished restoring a 1200hp twin stroker 28’ magnum deep v for $30k that’s got x2 new small blocks and this project looks easier at the end of the day imo.

    • I have had it at full throttle several times but no longer than 5 seconds or so. Top speed achieved has been 134 constant for about 5 miles at 52% load on the engine . The prop will theoretically run out of speed at around 148 mph. It's all about the acceleration. 0-100 in 10 seconds. 40-100 in 4 seconds. 25' 5000 pound dragster.

  • At those speeds, I wouldn't rely on one clip to hold my life vest on. I'd use both clips and the zipper. Of course if you crash at those speeds, your life vest will do nothing more than keep your dead body from sinking.

    • Actually just the opposite. Over 4000 miles of high speed running and no service work to do on the engine. 2500 hours of operation before the first inspection. Not even a oil change required. Just wash the compressor every 50 hrs of operation in a fresh water environment or after every run in salt water. Very simple procedure like flushing you piston engine on a boat.

    • @@patrickrolf482 I here big internet numbers for speed until it comes to showing it on the water and for some reason posted numbers like 100+ seem to really be 70+ when the prop hits the water. I take this boat all over the country to run in speed events and fun run's. Your welcome to jump in and take a ride and I'll show you what it feels like to go from 40 mph to 130 mph in 6 seconds. Anytime, every time!
