    • @@rtownz251251 For me it's a complexity and longevity issue related to the battery and the cost of that battery. Hybrids have two motor systems, and while I'll acknowledge the superiority of electric drive in all but a few (vital: refueling, cold weather) areas, having that AND an ICE is all the problems of both while mitigating the problems of the added component. My current Camry is 15+ years old, and batteries aren't expected to work well at that age, and the current tech has that issue. I'd include potential/probable supply chain issues for such a vital part, but Toyota is bringing a new factory on line to resolve that. I understand the eco motive, but battery manufacture is so dirty right now that I'm not sure the extra mining, refinement ect doesn't wash the benefits.

  • Honestly the exterior styling of the Civic looks way better and sportier. This looks like a weird mix of camry amd prius. The exterior leaves a lot to be desired. The last gen camry was much nicer. Also on a matter of principle, I believe it is wrong to force consumers to choose a hybrid car. They tend to not have as much longevity and more expensive to maintain. There should have been a regular 2025 non-hybrid Camry.

    @ag2158@ag21585 ай бұрын

I'm also sure Toyota management has NO IDEA how frustrating it is becoming for 4Runner fans and potential buyers to see Toyota announce the release of a 2025 model of a car before 2024 even begins while NOTHING is announced about the redesign (or maybe the elimination) of a vehicle fundamentally untouched since 2009.

  • As a 2018 Camry owner I was waiting for this because I will be buying two more cars soon. I also own a 2007 Accord also a great car. Love the headlights and the taillights. What I don't like is the radio. They removed the radio buttons since 2021. It's almost the same as the current generation but it have a few small changes that look very nice to me. But I have to say that my plans have changed. Now I think that I will buy a 2024 gas version of the Accord or a 2024 gas version of the Camry. I don't like that the gas version was removed. Now this hybrid version will cost way more and everyone knows that there is a lithium shortage in the world. And this will increase the cost of a battery in the very near future. At the same time hybrids after 200k they cost more to repair. Toyota was for me affordability, quality and reliability. Now it changed for the worst with these changes. It's looks good but I don't like the fact of paying more and that I am only given only one option. NO GAS VERSION = TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT. As for Toyota they have lost a loyal consumer with me.
