The Toyota engineers did a great job designing this car. Too bad it's so expensive.
It can be had for $20k right now due to significant incentives from Toyota I hear.
Not true. plus hydrogen is ridiculous expensive and they're closing stations all throughout California due to operating costs.@@pdd3
You can get one 10 to 20 grand used call your local Toyota dealership and ask you might even get a free Hydrogen Fuel card
Would love to buy the car but I don’t have anywhere to fill it up, I don’t live in California
Cost almost $200 to fill up every time, for like a 375mi range... Not worth it unless you can make your own hydrogen.
Looks so absolutely futuristic ❤
Eye-catching. 😎
Yes but too bad Toyota never built the infrastructure for Hydrogen and has never released Hydrogen On Demand, which there are at least SEVEN companies that can build this. HOD does not store Hydrogen; uses Distilled Water as its fuel source, and I'm certain Yoyota doesn't want backlash from our current government operatives who might literally kill for such a technology. As a Veteran of Military Intelligence who has invested in THREE such technologies - I have an intimate understanding and knowledge that these technologies work, have been patented previously (my business partners worked with the Late Stanley Meyer, the patenholder) and his twin brother Stephen worked for a military contractor and built 2 Military jets that run on water/HOD. Hopefully this will open up soon (There IS an operation going on to remove these bad actors) and we can All have the Nearly Free Energy that should already be in place. 😉🇺🇸🇺🇸
Camry thing very good thing. LC 300 my dream.
That front end this kewl.
Very good model this mirai😊
Amazing 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for sharing, we're glad you like it! ❤️
Wow fantastic
it's such a good looking 😄💖
Glad you like it!
@@toyotausa aww that's sweet 👌👍💖😄
Wow amazing
Glad it caught your eye! 🤩
Having only a 3 year warranty and a lack of infrastructure makes this car undesirable. I'll wait for the 2026 Signia or Camry Hybrid.
Good news is that If anything happens outside of your warranty, your trusty neighborhood mechanic will have no problem working on this. None whatsoever. Easy peasy.
Infrastructure was originally supposed to go the way of hydrogen but the WEF saw more money to be made in the process of creating EV so here we are
@@NarasimhaDiyasena Whoever this WEF is, they sound like they're pretty smart. Hydrogen storage for cars has always been and will always be a ludicrous idea. Why waste money on a loser of a concept. Hydrogen has always been a dead end.
That's a joke actually aviation will use hydrogen over battery's due to weight also long haul trucking plus their are ways to adapt hydrogen to a gasoline engine
@@nathanchartrand7735 Those are solid use cases. For general automotive use though, the infrastructure requirements make hydrogen energy storage a non-starter. Plugging your car in to charge at home for pennies on the dollar is the winning innovation here. And that's not even bringing up the huge energy conversion losses that come into play with hydrogen.
The brand knows its premium standards...notable excellence in the World markets.
Looks beautiful❤
We're glad you think so too! ❤️
there are only two locations (ex Hawaii) LA Bay Area that you can get the fuel. If the pumps work. sounds great if you like Ca.
It's a new technology. This is not a car for mass production. The Mirai is a developmental product that Toyota sells in small numbers as it develops the technology.
i love the interior the wrap around dash look awseome as usual Toyota/Lexus level build quality
I always felt that this interior belonged in the new Crown. It’s gotta be the nicest Toyota has to offer right now.
The Crown Sedan (which is east asia only) does have a similar interior.
ماشاءالله ❤❤❤❤❤❤
i love this car, it reminds me a lot of the song ray of light by madonna
Please make an all electric Prius. You don’t need to go all in on electric cars but there should be a couple good ones and Toyotas lineup.
You might get your wish when the US battery plant Toyota is building completes construction.
I want it but you won’t sell it outside of southern Cali.
They should have made the Avalon like this with the option for Hyrbid and Hydrogen. This would have made sense for sure.
I’d love to get one. I live in SoCal as a local commuter car.
We're ready when you are!
A face only a mother will love. Put on the GR Sport concept front.
But there are not so many stations in the countries to make road trip at the moment.
My dream vehicle ❤❤ I wish this was available here in North America 😢😢
It is only in some parts
It is , they sell it in California
@@MiguelRamirez-bn9sz How much? Thanks.
Don't they already do??
Move to CA 😂
I noticed that Toyota still leans toward the old technologies when supplying their cars with the touch screens and they are providing the smallest sizes of screens in comparision with their rivals. I saw yestrerday a Lincolin variety car that eleminated the need for a head display by make the whole dashboard a gaint screen with a touch sreen of 14" to control all the functions there is having that with the ability to divide it to more than four splitted screens for different purposes and that was genius really.
Full-touchscreen control is not a perfect choice for cars. Its cool and modern, but not convenient when you drive. Unless no further improvements implemented (like feedback) -- touchscreen will be less convenient.
I really really like this car so much. Too bad i cant buy it and use it in my country.
Most beautiful Toyota design. Should be a crown
It's actually a pretty sweet car, although marred by the technology's limitations.
Main issue is the availability of stations
LOL you can’t give them away. 50 stations in California (when they work) and dropping.
Marvelous car
From now to the future.
I want more development in the hydrogen fuel cell space. It feels right even if the performance isn't mind blowing at this point.
Exterior design is so beautiful 😍 😍
Hope this car can be successful as I don’t like battery
Outstanding model i love it.
This car will save the world
Thanks for the compliment!
I believe you, all hydrogen powered cars will, NOT ELECTRIC CARS, those aren’t much better than gas powered, they just move the gas n emissions to factories where the power for charging stations are generated n is actually way worse than individual output in terms of co2 emissions
@@koryhardy9594 Sorry but I have to reply because you are very misinformed. Green hydrogen requires a LOT of energy to create. Losses in the system from power creation to wheel turning is much greater for Hydrogen compared to full BEV. Put another way, a power plant has to generate a lot more energy to power a hydrogen car compared to a BEV because of inefficiencies with energy conversion and transportation in the hydrogen transport chain. Lastly, a Hydrogen car IS an electric car. It still has to have a motor and a battery because Hydrogen cannot provide quick enough torque.
I don't think you understand at all. Hydrogen vehicles are still under a great deal of development and making huge advances as is Hydrogen production. You act like technology is stagnant everywhere but EVs which is not true.
@@koryhardy9594even if electric vehicles are powered by fossil fuels they will still significantly reduce emmison as they require less energy to run
The beautiful Toyota Mirai, equipped with a gasoline powertrain, would have made for an Avalon so popular it would still be in production. Instead, the Mirai is the best looking Toyota sedan most people will only see in pictures.
HICE (hydrogen internal combustion engine) seems to be a better option for humanities future
i like it lol in a way it looks like the current gen lexus IS's
$50k to $70k and no heated steering wheel 😮
Lmao we are talking about a hydrogen car and you only think about heated steering wheel. We are expecting technology from this car. Not luxury.
@@frriwatching Björn Nyland talking about the technology im not quite as exited as you are …
@@lucamuller6729 because you dont really know anything about hydrogen. Or the pollution disel or gasoline cars are making..
@@frri i do actually, but thanks for your insights. And its called Diesel not Disel
@@lucamuller6729 english is not my first language. But i wanna know what do you really know about engines?
Carries similarities of lexus from front
Hey Toyota Please launch again the Supra mk4 🥺🥺 Let's vote for Toyota Supra mk4
Phenomenal where do I refull? sport = enhanced experience.... yeah right with 182hp
Torque is 300 lb feet, which is quite high. Don't be fooled by the 182hp information.
@@raygunsben the 0-60 is too slow and 300 torque is okay. A mazda cx-5 with the turbo engine accelerates faster and has 10ft more torque in an SUV.... the rav 4 prime is also faster
Right, but people buying a hydrogen car aren't buying it to beat another car off the line in a race.
@@raygunsben people aren't buying hydrogen cars period.... if electric cars have a laughable charging infrastructure the hydrogen one is basically non existent
Agreed. I remember when electric vehicles were laughable, and it wasn't all that long ago. Now they are a significant amount of car sales. All because infrastructure was created.

Man... H2 ❤
If it had a Lexus badge and was at least a hybrid. I would buy one.
we have heard of Hydrogen fuel car from Toyota for a long time but they don't seem to sell it.
This is the future of daily driving. Just need the infrastructure to make it happen.
Wish the fuel infrastructure was better. This would be a perfect car if I could fuel it where I live & for a reasonable price
Just wish there were more refueling stations! 😢
Hefty price. Crown seems like a better choice.
Toyota need to spent billion dollar to construct hydrogen station before telling people Mirai is the future . Learn how Tesla building Supercharger and make EV work
H2 is not available.. so how does one buy?
It is in California.
A lot of customers are interested in Mirai but the bottleneck is the availability of hydrogen stations, which are very few or non-existent in many states. Toyota needs to up their game and invest in Hydrogen station building if they want Mirai to succeed.
No they don't. The Mirai is a pilot program that the public can purchase as Toyota develops the technology. It's as simple as that for now.
Red 👍🏻
This car looks stunning! It does not look like a tech demo but a fully fleshed out car. This is the future here now. Well done Toyota. Well done.
We appreciate the compliment!
Recently saw a video of a lady filling her Miria. Once full she showed the cost on the “pump.” The hydrogen was $163 and the car said her range was just over 300 miles. Charging my Tesla is maybe $9 at home and the car has 500hp.
Thats a silly comparison. The Mirai is a pilot program that the public can purchase as Toyota develops the technology. It's as simple as that for now. Comparing it to any mass production car makes no sense.
I smell Lexus Es350
What are we going to do about the $36 per kilogram Hydrogen Fuel at the Stations?
It's a developmental technology. Why even ask that question?
It Hurts too see such amazing technology being phased out due to poor decision making like high cost for hydrogen refills to less availability of hydrogen filling outlets
Hydrogen powered cars is advancing at a pretty fast rate.
Lets talk about deal mark up
Price
Hi, there! Starting MSRP for the Mirai is $50,190. We suggest reaching out to a local Toyota dealership to get detailed information regarding inventory availability and options. Feel free to visit www.toyota.com/dealers/ to find your closest Toyota dealer!
Infrastructure is the problem but I am hoping that this means the combustible engine is not dead.
There are more CNG stations than Hydrogen stations in California and CNG is cheaper to fill up. If a vehicle company makes those in America again, like Honda did for a few years, I'd probably buy one.
Whats pretty funny is that natural gas is one of the best ways to produce hydrogen.
@@jesseraphael2423both of those routes are slightly worse than petrol, so switching does not change anything
Every innovation need to start somewhere. This is a very good start. Improvement happens overtime.
Wish other companies were as innovative as toyota too ):
We appreciate your kind words! Thanks for being a Toyota fan!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I really want to drive one and fuel it
The backseats are totally unusable due to low rooflines.
I am addicted to acceleration of all these electric motor cars Combustion engines feel totally obsolete!!!
It may work in 50 years after they build as many Tesla Superchargers
So u saying tesla supercharger were built in 50 years ¿
Unless Toyota builds hydrogen fueling stations across the US, much like Tesla did with charging stations, I don't think Toyota believes in hydrogen cars.
The car should come with a home hydrogen generator plant to make our own fuel 😂.
Would it blow up in a crash?
???
Why go to h20 station, is water , you put the water in you house . Or is it a special water.
2H2 + O2 = 2H2O 😂, its hydrogen station, not water station, what are talking about
Water + electricity= 2 hydrogen+1 oxygen
Awesome for California,,,,too bad the rest of us.
G16e h2 asap
When will Toyota use canister swap hydrogen fuel? That's more practical.
Why the Camry can’t look like as futuristic as this one?
Yeah i love american toyota cars😊
What happens to that hydrogen when the car crash?
Where can I find a gas station my hydrogen fuel-tank is empty?
Use Google maps
You don't need to. Just keep a gas-powered generator, a few buckets of water and an Electrolyser in your trunk. Then you can make hydrogen whenever you need it. Simple
From your backyard water tap.
California
Ferb, i know what we gonna do today
A very nice looking vehicle! Wish it was available in gasoline and I could get one in Florida. Better looking than the ugly, unaffordable Crown. Ive got a Camry, and would gladly upgrade to this vehicle, just as long as it was as large as the Camry, and not small like a Prius.
You will regret it BIG time. Do more research on ppl who own it .
The interior is more congested due to big hydrogen tanks and its is just another glorified EV which runs on electric motors
PHHV - a Plugin Hybrid Hydrogen Vehicle would make a lot of sense. With a range of 70KM people could drive normally every day and when they need a longer trip, they use hydrogen. You build hydrogen charges along major highways, reduce the price. Then some time in the future you put a solar roof on the vehicle using that extra energy you start producing hydrogen onboard using a distilled water. You can also do that while charging. Hydrogen then compressed and pumped in to tank for longer storage. This all happens on board the vehicle. Now if you do long trips rarely you will never need to fill up the hydrogen. If someone do this it will kill electric cars for real.
Is this the same notion as the Philippine inventor?
The headlights should not be thst far
When we get a Hybridized Lexus LFA
A literal Green washing machine for fossil fuel 🟢
It is a very long shot to have this car everywhere because of the lack of hydrogen stations .
The XLE and limited editions look the same to me, the rims are just different. And honestly the Limited rims look worse than the XLE rims.
Toyota should pay people to drive this dud of a car…. Not the other way around
Toyota develop this more, hydrogen is the future I believe you
It's amazing how Toyota makes a car that can pee anywhere.
This is what the world needs, people! Not the lithium-powered cars that are so good at destroying the environment and keep lying about their environmental benefits!
40K discount to clear Aging Stocks.
Toyota, we need H2 infra.
It's 2024 and 'Mirai' here still has STALE LOGO and 10 YEAR-OLD INTERIOR DESIGN . It's not about the creativity, it's about Japanese mindset.
Mirai means future in Japanese
Man i want to start a hydrogen car company
That's not mirai that's miraiii
