  • If you guys show a GR86 going around the track, with an available “track mode” then please *honor* the warranties for ppl taking their GR86s to the track and having their FA24s blowing up due to inherent oiling issues.

Look at the MSRPs for the GR Yaris and Corolla ... if they GR86 got that inline-3 it'd be over $45k-50k at least.

    • @@9unslin9er Exactly. I'd love to keep the same engine, just with the oil pressure loss fix because I am seriously interested in purchasing one, unlike most people. But, I'm not going to until a fix is in place or they 100% replace the engine without question under warranty, if something happens. I'd probably end up swapping to the WRX's FA24 block to turbo it, eventually anyway which would also fix it but in the meantime..

  • Who knew that a silly Japanese show about drifting cars with the 86 as the main car would make this little 86 family Edit: people seem to think that i said that the show made the car, thats not what i said, im saying the show made the 86 FAMILY, not the car itself, if it wasn't for initial D the AE86 would just be a forgotten 80s JDM car, drowned out by the popularity of the GT-R or RX-7. Also saying Initial D isn't silly is a lie, 1st stage has the silliest of moments, even into 4th and 5th stage theres some silly moments, the only dead serious stage is final stage.

The new cars that toyota is putting out are majority are aided by computers... They're mediocre at best.. Where as the Camry from the 90's are still on the road and going strong with 300k+ on the odometer.

      @cpcxgsr@cpcxgsr4 ай бұрын
    • @@cpcxgsrhow do you know the modern cars won't be as reliable when they literally have not been around for 30 years like a 90s car. You would only be able to make that determination after these newer ones are 30 years old. I've still seen plenty of 2010s toyotas and Hondas holding up strong in spite of their increased tech when compared to early 2000s and 90s, so it's pretty unreasonable to write off this decade's toyotas simply due to having fancy tech in them. Was the tech in 90s Lexus cars not fancy and modern during their time? Those things are still holding up well...
