Varly with the Caps had a similar storyline and he's be a solid starter over his career but hardly in the conversation of stud goalies in the league over his time so far. This guy could be a stud or end up like Varly where he can steal you a game with a 50+ save shut out, or let in 5 goals on 20 shots on some nights.

Fun fact (or just something inconsequential depending on point of view..), my Dad bought us NHL 98 for the Playstation in the UK - I knew nothing about hockey really, except ice/puck/American/Canadian sports....that was pretty much it, so when choosing a team to use I chose Colorado cos they abbreviated to my name "Col', and then I became a fan of the actual club from there

  • There were a lot of stats that can dictate the Avs were the dominate team in this game. Shots, TOI in the offensive zone, and aggressive defensive play are just some examples. However, they were actually lucky. Colorado almost blew the game after Nichushkin took a high sticking penalty in the beginning of the third period. Compounding the delay of game penalty, this was a full 5 on 3 PP for the Predators. They can't let this happen again. Props to Ingram for his stellar performance. If he repeats this type of performance with Saros sidelined, the Avs need to outperform themselves even further. It was a great game...minus the asinine play by Girard who decided to think he was Kuemper and attempt to block the puck with his kegs. I am more concerned with what's going on with the Flames vs Stars series. My worst fear came true. Oettinger went god mode. The Flames needs to beat them because I don't want the Avs anywhere near the Stars in the playoffs.

    • Even before that...the final minute of the CGY game...a disastrous injury to Saros cost them that win and the much needed point. I'd wager that a healthy Saros in net would've made that ARZ game meaningless and would've given them a chance in this series. Right now the goal of this team should be to punch this Avs team in the face and wear them down as they did with CAR last year...and also to not be swept for the first time in franchise history.

Montreal needs to go after Ingram if they find out that Price isn’t able to come back. He’s killing it against the best team in the NHL! This proves that he alone can steal big games for any team.
