Just got home from that awesome game this was my first nhl let alone nhl playoff game I wanna go back
what a first
My first was game 6 against Detroit. This one looked more exciting
I’ve seen two NHL games both oilers games first was March of 2015 at Rexall they beat Philadelphia 6-5 in OT second was February 2018 at Rodgers and lost I can’t remember the score to Carolina. But they both had an electrifying experience nothing will beat hockey some may say football or soccer the best no it’s hockey especially when the crowed gets into it.
my actual first was the 03/04 leafs/flyers playoffs. We just signed a big work contract with UPS and they invited us to their box seats. It was the game where Tucker almost killed Kapanen. Ill never got it.
My first /Oilers game was the one with Mike Smith and Cam Talbot fighting each other.
That backhand pass by Draisaitl to Bouchard deserved a goal....

If they play like last night throughout the rest of the playoffs, they're going far. It's grit that determines the Cup winner and they were playing with grit last night! Something that wasn't seen in previous iterations of the Oil. So glad to see it finally, they've got a real chance here!

He came into the league at a time when substance abuse was still very much a normal part of the game, and whether you like it or not, it still is. Maybe not to the extent that it was 10+ years ago. Kassian enjoyed partying a little too much and it almost cost him everything. You're sorely mistaken and naive if you don't think that recreational drug use/drug abuse isn't still very predominant in the league today.

Honestly yeah it’s crazy that he didn’t even play bad at all and still got beat 6 times. Without luck the oilers probably score 4-5 instead of 6 but quick still made a lot of good saves. Kings will need to bring some run support if they have a chance

Unfortunately, if the refs continue to close their eyes on the obvious flops by the FLOPPERS and continue to get these erroneous penalties, the kings have NO SHOT as Edm. true game strategy is to get PP anyway possible as they know they have a big advantage vs the Kings in the special teams game. I'm starting to believe that they are closing their eyes purposely to these FLOPS bc the league would rather see Edmonton vs Calgary then Kings/Calgary. You get lucky when you're working hard and playing well. Deflections look lucky but they happen because you're crowding the front of the net and putting shots into the mess.

It’s a game of inches, he got lucky 3 or 4 times and quick got beat by 1/2” of multiple goals. Quick even moved his glove just enough at exactly the right time to let Puljujarvi’s shot get through
This Oilers team reminds me a lot of the mid 2000's Penguins but at that time at age 22 Crosby & Malkin already had two cup appearances with one win plus winning two more later on! Maybe some day McDavid & Draisaitl will get there, the pieces are almost in place! Better late than never!
