When Loren Allred went on Britain's Got Talent a few months ago, very few people knew that she was the actual singer of the iconic song NEVER ENOUGH from the movie The Greatest Showman. Her performance won her the golden buzzer, Simon Cowell's heart, and a well-deserved standing ovation!
So, when Loren reached out to me to coach her for her upcoming projects and performances I was honored and floored! Loren is one of the most humble and gifted singers I've ever met and she is always working to become even better.
It was hard to control the tears hearing one of my favorite singers singing one of my favorite songs in this unforgettable carpool karaoke coaching. Enjoy!

Thank you Miss Cheryl!!!! This was so much FUN! 🎶💕
You did such a great job🤩🤩
You were incredible. How is your voice so beautiful 😄
Hello miss Loren!! I love the greatest showman, my favorite part was Never Enough! Me and my siblings loved your AGT audition as well! I love your voice, I hope to sing as good as you one day 😄 Byeee ❤️❤️
Loren, your voice is absolutely captivating and inspiring!
You gave me chills with your beautiful voice and this amazing song, thank you!!!!
Everyone is talking about how Loren sang her song, but I'm just so impressed with how she did all the vocal warm up tasks. She didn't fail once. She is obviously a pro in doing such exercises. That's where her talent comes from - from her hard work.
Me too.
Her mom I believe is a talented vocal coach so she's been doing this stuff probably since her 1st notes
if you don't warm up, you don't sing as well

She gave us a SHOW and for FREE?!?!?! Loren is an amazing singer!
For me after James Arthur, Loren Allred is the next amazing superstar.
Love it
She really is
Honestly, the way she was able to belt while sitting down needs to be talked about and APPRECIATED.
You have a bit more support when you are sitting. I did a show years ago, and I always practiced my solo in the car. Then I thought, UGH I probably shouldn't have done that. I was blocked to sing the song sitting down, with a child on my knee. It was The Christmas Box from, 'Nuncrackers'. It worked out very well.
Absolutely agree. Belting this kind of song in a sitting position truly indeed difficult but she make it looks easy. This is my super and wonder woman...my hero.❤❤❤
Not to mention in the sub-par acoustics of a car. It's not horrible but the sound must get dampened a ton
Human beings are so incredible when you think about it. Using your voice to make sounds and make other people feel emotions. Isn't that insane?! What an amazing video. Love you both Loren and Cheryl
Omg I literally thinking the same thing 😮
I was just thinking something similar the other day! I remember listening to sad songs and love songs as a child and FEELING those emotions even though I had no experience with them. I couldn't figure out how that was even possible. Somehow they extracted the emotions from the music and lyrics and transmit it directly to me, the listener.
#MrScratchproof - You said exactly what i was thinking. Not only the voice or perfect pitch a.s.o., Loren is able to transport feelings and that is, for me, very important. And i think, singers can not transport feelings if they do not have those feelings. Loren has feelings and is able to bringt to ppl.
Wonderful comment darling! Thank you for sharing your thoughts ❤
Songs remind me of people, places and/or times in my life. This song is moment the rare ones that hits all 3 for me. Still processing it right now!! Whew!!
She only did the first verse of “never enough” before I started feeling like crying. It’s not just her voice that’s amazing, it’s her ability to touch your heart that is amazing.
yah, all the other singer who covered this song just try make it big, but something in Loren's version that very special, no one can beat the original.
True
True
What a beautiful thing to say.
But it’s also the beautiful lyrics of the song.
The fact she is belting like that sitting down is amazing.
sitting actually helps getting the strength from ur hips and stomach area which u need for belting n stuff. talking from my own education and developement
I was thinking that. There’s a reason we extend when reaching for those high notes and yet she’s pulling off the high notes at full belt sitting! It’s incredible.
Better sitting
oh I have a surprise for you then, go listen to Faouzia - Elon (stripped) version. If Loren is impressive, Faouzia is out of this World. Especially her Stripped song versions.
There was very little belting - only at the end really. The rest is a different technique (one I'm very familiar with from playing and singing harmony at the same time for many years).
Yep, this song was just meant to be hers. Idk if singers get tired of singing the same songs over and over, but man this is one of those songs that you can hear over and over and it always touches you. The way she sings it is just...perfection!
When you sound that good in a car without having a fully sophisticated equipment or gear or even orchestra,,,. You’re next level first class singer ! ❤
Sad that not many people knew she was the singer behind this iconic song - I watched her sing it live after The Greatest showman came out and she sings it so beautifully every time.
I didn't know she was the actually singer in the movie the greatest show man. Went to watch her performance after this video.
Its always said it was sang by her, she made the decision to just be behind the scenes singing it so it’s not sad at all.
Plus it happens in thousands of movies that the actor isn’t the one actually singing the song.
now they know. she deserves recognition❤️
Actually the actor for that song can sing but after hearing the demo from Loren, she loved her voice so much, she decided to use her demo for the movie.
I always thought of Loren as a singer who's already "there" but the fact that she keeps on doing auditions and seeing coaches like this really makes me appreciate 1) her humility and 2) the work it takes to be at the top.
💪🏾❤
Love this ❤️
It seems like she doesn't need any coaching she her performance but it just goes to show how little I know about this craft. I love the teachers energy.
@@catsincredulous9998 The best singers should have constant coaching so they don’t subconsciously stray from the techniques that made them sing their. Just like how athletes always have coaches
@@catsincredulous9998 Legend singers like Celine Dion and Mariah still have their own coaches. Never stop exercising and improving your voice especially if you are professional singer. If you stop, the quality of your singing voice deteriorates. I know that because I am a singer myself and this is was my mistake.
She sang every single word so deeply from heart. Its her song she owns it. This is my favorite version sung by her. Kudos.
Hear Loren singing "Never enough" always makes me cry. No matter what I try, the tears start rolling. So emotional.
Loren did not just sing, she put life in every word that came out of her mouth. It's beautiful 😍
🥰
Is the word suppose to be "sang" not sing in your sentence? Correct me if I'm wrong 😅
@@lostsoul5007 because I use the modal "did" that's why the verb "sing" is in it's base form. It is wrong to say, for example, "I did sang the song". But instead, "I did sing the song". 😁🤙🏼

@@CherylPorterVocalCoach hi miss cheryl i love your videos
This is incomparable. A very humble singer and a humble coach in a humble car, these what make the song rendition lives an everlasting thought in our humble memory. Kudos.
As Loren was singing Never Enough I could just see Cheryl with that proud face. Keep up that good work!
That’s exactly what I was here to say!!! She’s so there for it!!
“Never enough” is not the song you sing in a carpool with just one person. It deserves to be sang in a huge auditorium with thousands of audience.✨😍
Lol, It Was not just for one person. You, me, and thousands.
The fact that she was able to sing it for one person, in a car, is testament to the fact that she's the real deal.
Well, she ended up singing for millions of people, sooo...
Right..
Was this meant to losely quote the movie?
There is something different about Lorren. She is not try to be "another version" of Whitney, or Mariah, or Celine. She CREATE her own thing. The way she hold her notes, her vibrato, her riff, her tone... Its just so significant. BRAVO !!
She's a woman, so it's BRAVA
Superb vocal skills and natural tone. However, I'm afraid her current song writers have completely let her down. She needs more songs like this that really show off her vocal capabilities rathe than the capabilities of the song writer. We need more Lauren but we won't get it until she swaps her writing team for one that can produce music we all want to hear.
Đó cũng là lý do mà mình mê chị ấy bên cạnh The Trinity❤
She was BORN with this! ❤
she truly is in her own lane the only singer that i feel like loren sounds like is gloria estefan on steroids.
It's impossible not to listen to her voice without being moved. Every time I listen to her I always end up crying from emotion. What a tremendous talent! She is a superstar and deserves to be at the top!
Cheryls face and actions was giving me pure proud mum vibes …. What a queen
I am a middle aged man and have this confession: I hate musicals, always have. One day my wife tricked me into watching the greatest showman. When the first song started I glared at her in disdain. Welll, I loved it and I love this song. You ladies are beautiful, your talent is intoxicating and it makes me feel, which isn't easy. Never stop doing what you do, it makes the world a little brighter.

That Cheryl is crying…OMG! Made me want to cry too. What a team.
As a sound engineer and music producer I'm amazed at how good Cheryl's hearing is, she can hear every single detail on a pitch and identify every fundamental frequency with their respective harmonics, she can tell when someone is screaming or actually singing a note, she's brilliant!
she's pitched perfect
that's because Cheryl is a classically trained, ultra successful, professional Opera singer. she's the real deal

Yeah, you can just hear the control the breath support and the years of practice, but know what. Practically anyone can learn to sing like that, it just takes experience and patience so if you or anyone decides they want to sing like that it is possible, with the right teacher and the dedication to improve.
@@johnwade7842 You're giving us hope with that statement
@@johnwade7842 really? Even people with no talent at all ?
@@ardysontan3119 Well unless you're medically toned deaf which only occurs to 4% of the population or have some sort of vocal injury, singing is a skill that any person can develop. I should know, I couldn't hold tune match a note or even hold my breath long enough to perform well. Now I can do all that and be able to sing in a choir even done a few solos as well as a whole lot more. Singing is composed of a set of skills, if you don't believe me you should take a look at this video. kzhead.info/sun/mLiRabCwkWuPiIk/bejne.html . First and foremost breath control or breath support, is the most important skill. you basically need to retrain how you breathe, normally your chest would rise and fall periodically but you should be breathing from the diaphragm. Also then you need to learn to strengthen your chest voice and learn to distinguish and produce sounds in your different registers reliably as well as how to transition through your passaggio and you also learn about the different vowels and how they affect your voice. You will also be taught music theory how to read dynamics and different elements of music on note sheets and train constantly to different warm exercises using note sheets to guide you. One thing though, and this is important if you want to learn you should really find a professional singing teacher to prevent you from accidentally damaging your voice since if you have any tension at all it can cause strain on your voice and damage your vocal cords.
@@johnwade7842 thank you for sharing dude ! Really appreciate it
Yea….. this is just that song that belongs to her…. It’s her song. When you sound that good on a mic with no extras thrown in beyond simple mixing, you are doing it right.
Agreed. But this video made me realize why they didn't give Loren the role in "The Greatest Showman"; if they had given the role to Loren, the audience would have been rooting for Phineas to leave his wife and kids. 😉

It is effortless for her. What I’m learning from her is not to PUSH it through the whole song, go easy until you need to give it your all. She’s so good.
Loren shows that there's real voice out there, without autotune, or any other voice helpers/changers.
Hearing Loren sing "Never Enough," always brings me to tears! Cheryl, girl, you are Fabulous!!! 😊
I’ve never once heard that song without crying.. Loren is just incredible
I find it so impressive how Cheryl didn’t have to give any critique or say anything to Loren while she was singing. I don’t know that was beautiful to see. She was so engulfed in the moment of her singing that it leaves you speechless. What a gift and a voice!!
Exactly!! 😍
She's a professional maybe, but she definitely needed help. She yelled and pulled a ton, her vibrato and her head voice was sketchy. The falsetto in the end was strained. I could go on but mainly these three intances are the main. Other students of her have been actually corrected and did better after following her stops for advice.
@@timotimorrison3448 man you don’t know what you’re saying at all. Falsetto is so loose on the vocal chords and at a low note there’s no way you can strain. I heard a coach say vibrato means it’s free and not strained!! Every singer professional or not has a place in their voice that they have a harder time singing in. Loren is a GREAT belter.
@@timotimorrison3448 this is the prime example of someone pretending they know everything just because they are on the Internet, when in actual fact, knows nothing 😂😂😂😂
@@timotimorrison3448 I noticed some strain and few things here and there. I do think maybe what could’ve resulted in that too was her singing in a car. Honestly even when I’m singing in the I will push here and there. The seating affects your posture which in turn affects your support and also the space inside a car is small. Ive heard Tara Simon another vocal coach on KZhead say that the space in car will affect your singing and lead to being pitchy or flat or straining. I can imagine her voice would be able to move a bit more freely an open area.
Loren Allred is the BEST thing to come out of that movie. So much poise, grace and humility. And those VOCALS ugh

Holy moly! She should do a show on stage and will blow any audience away! Amazing! Thanks for sharin Cheryl!❤❤❤
I just love watching the vocal coaches facial expressions when Lauren is singing.
I feel like Loren took Cheryl’s critics to heart and used her head voice in places where she belted before. In this case, it made for a more heartfelt performance.
I feel like what I heard was that she was eeeever so slightly under the high notes leading up to that softer part you're talking about (I mean, she's singing like THAT sat in a car!), she recognised she was pushing a bit too hard for them so dialled it back a little to give her enough in the tank for the ending. Mark of a true professional!
The movie would’ve been not as good without Loren’s breathtaking vocals. Loren absolutely captured not only the heart and soul of the song the heart and soul of that movie and everyone who watched it. We love you Loren! Thank you Cheryl for all your work and all your wonderful videos
