I just wish they hyped up the parting shot into kingambit more, incredible read that could've made him look like someone who doesn't know about abilities
As someone who knows nothing about competitive pokemon, I was able to follow and understand incredibly well
I’m starting to think that The Giraffe may have permanently killed off eviolite dusclops. Farigiraf doesn’t have quite the same bulk but it’s way more of a threat. Great to see.

I’ve seen a lot of comments talking about hacking. Honestly, there’s no reason to do that with Scarlet and Violet. You can max out IVs and EVs in about thirty minutes grinding and five if you use items. For zero IVs, you can easily get zero attack or speed in a few generations of breeding. This is the best generation yet for building custom Pokémon legitimately.
If you watch some of Wolfe's tournament reports, the reason is because the pros are often testing teams and changing teams until the last minute (ie. less than 30 mins before you need to submit your team). Besides, competitive Pokemon is an entirely different game. Nobody cares if the pokemon are generated, it's all about starting on a level playing field and rewarding player skill.

I know this is a stupid question, but do competitors need to actually catch/train their Pokemon from scratch in game, or do they just choose all of the specs/items/moves etc?
Pretty sure they are supposed to have them in their game (rental teams might change this?) Wolfe does streams where he's grinding for his teams. A lot of people just hack their pokemon in but you can be disqualified if they have evidence you are doing so
Players are expected to catch/hatch and train their own Pokémon. That means spending hundreds of dollars on buying all of the games with the Pokémon you need and dozens of hours training your team just right. There have been calls to consider rental teams to make the competitive scene more accessible.

After it tera's to Ghost, it's not a fire type anymore.
@@JakoBvB94Technically, you maintain all STAB while tera, so it lost fire type as a defense, but it maintained fire type for offense.
@@obits3 oh wow okay see I didn’t know that. I thought it kept all types. So if it’s dual type does it only get the tera third type as it’s new defense? Did incineroar lose both dark and fire defensive typing
@@riggz5496 Someone skipped the class… in all seriousness, yep, tera replaces your defensive typing completely. If you tera to a different type than your normal type(s), you keep STAB on all 2-3 types. If you tera to a type you already have, STAB for that type gets stronger.

Luka was very disappointing in the last round, instead of making gouging fire howl,he shouldve been attacking incerroar,lowering it's hp each time it returns back in battle, instead of trying to get a critical hit,u let yo guard down,the Battle wudve gone differently if u were attacking from the beginning,oh well lesson learned, congrats to the both of u

@@user-ds8rj2vc4v Tinkaton? Ceruledge? Clodsire? Hydrapple? Ogerpon? Armarouge? Kingambit? Gen IX has some of the best designs the series has ever had. Paradox Pokémon like Gouging Fire looking over-designed and out of place is the entire point - from a lore standpoint, they **are** out of place (or, more accurately, out of time)

Idk man, Charlotte has been very diverse, at least day two. Grand Finals were pretty unique teams.
@@AkasukaNoMila Been playing since gen 1, started playing comp around XY when the pool was super diverse. Now everyone uses the same 20 mons or so. You’re fucckin with me if you say that’s not true. Only reason it’s changed recently was cause of the dlc. Before that everyone used fluttermane, goldingo, among us etc..

im not that into VGC but legendaries of all kind shouldnt be part of it
There's called regulation The first regulation only allowed mon that is only in the dex of the region but not paradox or legendaries The second regulation allowed paradox The third allowed subbed legendaries so pokemon who's a legendary but only have a bst lower than 660 or smth The fourth regulation allowed transferrable mons on the game so you can used mon that isn't on the region's dex The fifth just allowed mons of the first dlc The sixth allowed mons on the second dlc The reason we have legendary on a tournament is because having the same mon over the time is really boring and its the same for playstyle probably that's why regulation d is quite boring because its all urshi-tornadus
While they are legendaries, all have bst of 600 or less, which qualifies them for tournaments. Anything more is in a restricted format
