Neil did to be capable of 0KO the Amoongus (go to a Damage Calculator and take the Adamant Chien Pao set with Ice Spinner, and let the app do the math with and without tera). Neil knew who was the real menace, the mushroom, and tried to do the Tera and see if he have the oportunity to awake Chien Pao. He had been put to sleep the previous turn where he had already made a move before being put to sleep, so the tera turn was the guaranteed sleep one. Tera'ing that turn was 100% a waste. Pumping the numbers into the calculator, even though the casters said Close combat would do more damage, that was incorrect. Mystic Water boosted surging strikes woulda picked up the KO. Stress gets to us all, match ups aside, staying calm and recognizing outs to win is the difference between a champion and runner up.

      @ShadowGamingXxx@ShadowGamingXxx14 күн бұрын
    • @@ShadowGamingXxx it wouldn't have picked up the KO. Surging strikes *does* do more damage than close combat thanks to mystic water, but it wouldn't have been enough. That's why CC was still the right move there, since it could crit giving a 4% chance to win
