OK but how exactly would they track that they're still on the line? They wouldn't be able to use the map coordinates on a diagonal.
@@baddecisionthebold2379 They absolutely could. The game coordinates include all 3 axis, traveling in a diagonal would change both X and Z at the same rate. If they don't want to go to the trouble of calculating it manually, Doug could whip up a simple program that reads the coordinates on screen and if the difference between the 2 is more than a certain amount it would alert him or something. They certainly have options.
The fact that EVERYTHING had to go right for this line(the 2 arrows exactly, the shield to surf, the pyro chuchus, the food along the way, the perfect pockets of shade, etc) just shows that the holy line is truly blessed.

I'll be honest, when I completed watching DougDoug's video, my first thought on completion was: "Is it really not possible to do it with less margin of error?" Good to see that I wasn't alone in thinking that and somebody picking up that challenge.
