    • the reason it worked so well is after the Patriots stole SB 39 from a historically great Phila team by filming their pre SB practices & the NFL covered it up - Pederson ran Fake practices SB week b/c he knew the Fraud Patriots can only win by cheating so when they called Philly special they knew NE was done

    • It was an all-time great game. As an Eagles fan, I wouldn't have wanted our first Super Bowl Championship to come against anyone other than the best opponent possible. That was the Pats, and obviously the best QB ever, Brady. The Patriots dynasty was absolutely awe-inspiring to watch. You guys set the bar to an insane standard. I say this with the utmost respect -- it was an honor to beat you guys on the biggest stage. Much love & respect from Philly.

    • These are the special moments that sports allow us. Since I was a young kid I’d watch every eagles game with my dad. Many amazing memories, the super bowl being the greatest one. He passed suddenly a year later on the first Sunday of the following football season. Will forever be grateful that I was able to watch that game with my dad.

  • Surreal watching this 4 years later. I remember being a sophomore in high-school. The energy in Philadelphia and the surrounding areas was different than anything I’ve ever felt before. When they won I remember every school shutdown for the parade. Probably one of the coolest moments I’ve experienced.

    • He also had 4 huge receptions for 100 yards. He doesn’t make that huge 3rd down play before HT, no Philly Philly, and NE gets the ball back. He doesn’t secure that TD catch whilst 3x covered, we don’t hold them off. Easily the most unsung hero of SBLII.

    • Plus the 3rd down play ... But yeah, especially in that moment, it's not as easy a play too execute as it looks ... Give the coaches credit for having them ready, and obviously Nick for the recommendation. Aside from Graham's strip sack, I've never been happier after any play in any sporting event (Ed Reed once had a pick 6 to end a game which won me a bet and a fantasy football game ... I'll always remember that one too).

  • I always loved how, when Foles approached Peterson at the sideline, Peterson went from total confidence in the play he wanted to go with, to having total confidence in what his quarterback wanted to do in the span of two seconds. The very definition of a coach trusting his player.

  • I'm not an Eagles fan, but the 2017 Eagles were something special. Such a blast to watch, and going back and hearing the audible for the Philly Special still gives chills 5 years later. Nick Foles and Doug Pederson got to prove themselves, bring home the trophy to a city that desperately needed it, ad gave us the best Super Bowl ever

    • Nick had been running that play since he was 8 years old in Pop Warner football in Westlake (West Austin area). During high school he was 5 for 5 with 5 touchdowns. And he was an All-Region point guard for 3 years on the basketball team so he had GREAT hands. That play had 95% chance of success.

  • Crazy story. Watched the super bowl with my dad and remember rooting for the eagles the whole way and watching that final play after it hit the ground, I was filled with so much joy. It’s wasn’t even an eagles fan but wanted a crazy upset. One of the greatest games I have ever watched.

    • Nick had been running that play since he was 8 years old in Pop Warner football in Westlake (West Austin area). During high school he was 5 for 5 with 5 touchdowns. And he was an All-Region point guard for 3 years on the basketball team so he had GREAT hands. That play had 95% chance of success.

  • As a Jags fan I can only hope that coach Pederson brings some of that magic to Jacksonville. I think he's got us going in the right direction and I love what he did with the leadership council on the Eagles taking their suggestions and making them happen. I haven't heard whether he's done the same in Jacksonville or not, but I hope he does. Seems like a great way to get the team to work together.

    • Overall, I’d say you guys had a pretty good season. A playoff birth and wild card win no one expected. A few things that need to be tuned up, loss to the chiefs was hard, but considering Kansas is in the Super Bowl right now, I’d say Jacksonville has hope.

  • As a "die hard" Philly fan, for almost my entire life... I didn't miss a second of the playoffs. As a veteran Philly fan, during every single one of those games... I said out loud, "They're not going to win... there's no way they're going to win." at least 20 or 30 times. And I probably said it more during the Super Bowl. It was the most magical Super Bowl I've ever watched.
