Then we go on a wild card run in 08, surely that was the year... and Larry Fitz kills us. Then Chip comes in and Foles goes 27-2, leaves field with the lead in the wild card game, and the defense chokes against the Saints. No more. No more empty trophy case memes. Rings are certainly nice but a good win by Eagles for sure. Tom's comments sounding like bitter on one lucky play isn't a good look but people have to remember he just lost. Who in their right mind would want to relive that again in a media room press conference. I'm sure he was bitter, he wants to win too I don't hold that against him. I may not like Brady but I don't expect anyone to act 100% of the time as a saint. We all have bad moments. Props to you for seeing this a a momentous occasion for Eagle fans. If their defense had all the answers, why did we score 41 points on them?? Basically, I hate the commentators. They always seem to kiss certain teams' backsides no matter what.

I honestly was surprised the pats put up 33 points (+ missed field goal and extra point) but I wasn't surprised the eagles offense dominated the patriots defense. All in all, if you would have told me beforehand the eagles offense would put up 40+ points and the game would still come down to the last couple of minutes, I would have thought you were mad considering that awesome eagles defense.

    • The trick play was legal since Foles had started in shotgun and Jeffery made sure his spot was okay. The Pats ran the same play against them a few years ago. And when do PIs get called in a hail mary? If they were then penalties would offset and it'd be game over

    • Clemmy Magee Except, New England tried the play before the Eagles. And you don't film offensive plays so that you can play them yourself. You film them so that you can stop the play when you see it. If New England filmed the play, how come they didn't see it coming?

Get his daughter in the celebration like seeing her first snowfall. ;-) I have little ones so I know how that is for them. Maybe he wants that picture etched in her memory. Great super bowl. Lots of fun to watch.

  • What a great game and season that was. I was so happy that I finally got to see my beloved Eagles finally reach the pinnacle. I was just 9 years old when the won in 62. All the games my dad and I watched at Franklin Field, The Vet and on TV. He was gone now but I felt him with me at the end of that game...And now, at 71, I want one more for all of us--EAGLES fans and family. One more for the vets, the rising stars, the coaches and front office staff that put their whole being into this great team. And for everyone that loves hard knocking teams that do not quit. One more for all of us that have cared for however long. One more please.

    • Wentz is younger, more consistent, and has a slightly higher ceiling. Not to mention cheaper for at least the next few years. Foles is a beast though I'd love if he stayed but he deserves a chance to go be a starter again somewhere. And the millions that will come with it. I'm just glad that they had a QB of Foles caliber ready to step in after Wentz went down. People don't realize how lucky they were to have a top 10 qb backing up a top 5 qb. Most teams would love to have either as a starter. Props to the GM. And Foles and Wentz for not being divas and being team first guys.
