A lot of people don’t know this, but this game had 1151 yards of total offense, that is the most yards in any NFL game ever... 😧
Also, only 1 punt
The only thing I didn't like about this SB is the Eagles left pts on the field. They could have put up a 50 spot on the Patriots...easy.
Didn’t the rams cheifs game last year pass that
@@seanfinn44 The most total yards in any game in the history of the NFL. The Patriots totaled 613 yards in defeat, while the Eagles gained 538 yards in victory. That total of 1,151 yards of offense breaks an NFL record that has stood for nearly seven decades.Feb 4, 2018

Ill never forget my Dad had Eagles 1 Patriots 3 in a pool, such shitty numbers. He went to bed thinking he wasted $150, I woke him up 30 minutes later and told him "Dad if the Eagles kick a field goal you could win $10,000!" he stayed up with me and watched the rest of the game. I've never celebrated with my father so hard before, we were ecstatic.
glad my birds made yall some money
Same thing happened with my dad in Super Bowl 49! When the pats scored late he got so excited because he won a couple hundred bucks. But then when he realized if that was the final score he’d win a few thousand, it became very tense. He looked on the verge of tears when the Seahawks drove to the two. But when Russ threw that interception and we realized he won, he started jumping up and down on the bed and giggling like a little girl😂 one of the most excited moments I’ve ever seen with my dad. It paid for a family vacation to San Francisco the next month. God bless Super Bowl pools lol

Collinsworth and Michaels were about to have Bradys baby after they realized Brady had another opportunity to drive down the field and win a SB, but was denied. The surprise in their voice to see Brady fumble was glorious. Love this game.

Thanks for not being a a hole about this game like a lot of patriots fans have a great day and I must agree this game exactly what a super bowl should be
Shut up
several interesting facts about this game ... 1) Matt Patricia was already in Detroit - the D was unable to control Foles's roll-outs - exactly half the Eagles passing yardage was garnered on those roll-outs ... 0 preparation ... 2) on the "trick play" there was only 4 men at the scrimmage line - the rules call for a minimum of 5 - Pats did not protest ... 3) post game Belichick hugged Pederson longer than his own wife, quite happy actually - incredible ... other instances of a minor nature also occurred ... there have been many references about a "fixed game" ??? ... not saying it was but this an uncharacteristically mediocre performance by the Pats coaching staff .... food for thought on Super Bowl eve ??? ... to finish, cannot see the Bucs being competitive vs Chiefs - no hometown glory for many future decades - Chiefs 34 - 19 or more !!!

Man that sack fumble at the end is going to be so iconic 20 years from now... It is going to become the "Down goes Frasier." moment of the NFL... I have never seen such a clutch moment by a defense who really struggled all game.
Sad part is James white is wide open in the flats for 2-3 seconds just staring at Tom.
I’m not blaming Tom for this because god knows I wouldn’t have done any better, but how the hell did that happen. He wasn’t blindsided, that rusher came from the inside to his right. Wasn’t even an edge rusher!

@@secretz2war964 ...Great and true fact. Thanks. That b.s. about touchdowns is getting too damn foolish. I guess some want the guy, especially in that activity, to somehow maybe even walk into the end zone like you are taking a walk, have both hands around the ball...full control, blah, blah.
@@aesir1ases64 It gets old very fast when even the better sports announcers and this Collingsworth (that I dislike with he thinking apparently that he is the lead man at the microphone, it was a great game but it is hard to listen to that damn rant he has) but they sound besides Brady being their idol, he is the greatest ever, etc. Bradshaw always gave his teammates credit when any praised him and Brady may but I see, in him, a giant ego, visibly angry when losing and I heard him in interviews say how the team that beat him "got lucky." He never said they outplayed him, gave any credit and he gleams when these idiots treat him like their little god. He cannot take criticism...44(?) year old kid. I am a eagles fan also and I was so skier when they won
I was around 11 when the eagles lost to the Patriots in 2004. 15 years later i watched them get a ring with a backup QB against the same team who robbed us before. When Brandon Graham stripped the ball in the 4th i knew it was over. Go Birds
One of my favorite games ever. I also liked a fair number of the Steelers' playoffs (and Super Bowl games with Big Ben, since 2004.) I recall almost "umping into the TV screen when only seconds left and Pittsburgh would score, etc. Thanks for comment. I like the Eagles and I know New England had some years that were mostly all good players...as the Steelers did in 1970's. Last, that hype re Brady is too much for me; one would think he won all the games by himself. He mostly had a lot of fine receivers and they built an offensive plan that worked amazingly...not to take anything from Brady but I remember the Packers and Steelers especially were great because they had a running game and passing game, they also had emphasis on their Special Teams and etc. Take away the couple of great wide receivers in those years and things wd be different. Only a thought but some make these sports figures like gods.
Enjoy it. It won’t ever happen again for a very long time.

Nelson Agholor gets his criticism but was superb, especially in the 4th
The strip sack was really just as big as the Philly Special, and Derek Barnett's recovery was underrated on that. He had the awareness and hand-skills to grab a bouncing ball in midair in a clutch moment and fall on it, rather than try to run with it first. There have been so many plays like that where the defenseman can't grasp the ball or tries to run before securing it, only to give it back up to the offense. Of course, clutch play by Graham, as well..
barnett also sacked and i think also stripped case keenum in nfc champ game while the vikings were still just 7 pts down. Barnett has been a better success than most fans think
Bigger!! That saved the game in the moment it needed to happen!! They needed a turnover to win the Super Bowl. Finally. The Greatest Shootout in NFL History. I’m biased as an Eagles fan but to me it is also the greatest Super Bowl of all time. People will say no defense but watch the game again. Shitty defense at times, but the game was so much more about the greatness of both offenses, and the game-winning drive and then strip-sack after the Eagles lost the lead in the fourth was the most nerve wracking but ultimately greatest emotional roller coaster of my life. The fourth and 1 from midfield 2:02:10 with 5 and a half to go was literally the game, and to go for it and get it perfectly shows what makes the heart of a champion. That and of course, The Philly Special😉
Too bad the eagles suck now

B.E.S.T. G.A.M.E. E.V.E.R. !!!!
The greatest SB is either 42, 43, or 49
I, IronHide I have no argument with any of those. My personal unranked top 5 Super Bowls of all time are 42, 43, 49, 51, and 52. Rank them however you want, that’s where personal preference comes in. But in terms of pure theatre, those 5 are the best
I was 10 when my heart broke from Tom Brady winning Super bowl 39 against the Eagles.. for the Eagles to win their first Super bowl against Brady & Belichick..with a backup QB.. days before my birthday.. was as sweet as it gets..🦅

it was payback time and they brought it
To be fair the Eagles were about to drive and win that one in 2005 too, but Donovan McNabb got sick and started vomiting in the huddle so they couldn't get run the no-huddle fast enough. True story, look it up!
BRO WE LITERALLY ALMOST HAVE THE SAME EXACT STORY!! the first SB I watched was 39, and since Philly lost I became a fan (I wasn’t a fan of any team at the time) thinking they would come back and win over the Pats, plus I became a big fan of McNabb, T.O, Westbrook, Dawkins.. and I became a Philly fan…. I was 9 at the time.. but we never got back but I was heavily in attention to what Philly was doing every year, mid 2010s were rough, but 2017 was something special, then this game happened, it was down to the wire, I was on edge, then I literally cried when we actually won, I’ll never forget, and a part of my childhood and life is complete in a way and can die happily that my fav team accomplished winning a SB in my lifetime, but what also made it even better was that they beat the Pats, just like I hoped they would back then…. Can’t write that lol

Yeah man, it’s crazy, bunch teams pulled off similar plays like the Philly Special, like the Browns I believe. Trick play for the ages.
34:48 Brady's drop when attempting similar play
As a Jets fan, this was the best super bowl i’ve ever watched in the history of the game. Especially seeing the Pats take an L against a team that outplayed them.
you gotta love watching cheaters lose
@DuplicatePumps Same! It really was a great game!
yeah they lost but pats are stilll cool right next to jets
Jets fan here. I agree.
No giants causing the patriots to go 18-1?
Best super bowl in terms of just well played football all around in probably forever, if not, definitely up there in the top 3. Between Foles taking over to end the season, the odds, 1st chip, all out offensive display from both teams, truly 1 of a kind for now
1:04:16 In the next 10 seconds - two small words lead to one of the biggest moments in Philadelphia sports and Super Bowl history.
1:04:20 “You want philly philly?”,,, One of the best moment of SB
The fourth and 1 from midfield with 5:38 to go was literally the game, and to go for it and get it perfectly shows what makes the heart of a champion. That and of course, The Philly Special😉
@@whitneyshults7042 you literally just copied that comment
Yall didn't have to do Patriot Fans like that they just lost they QB😂
Cater Dig #ItsAlllllllPartOfThePlan
Pats fan getting triggered I can feel the heat
@@caterdig3239 Screw them lol. This is one of the greatest Super Bowl matches ever. It was highly entertaining and even better, the Pats lost.

One of the best super bowls ever never a dull moment
Being an eagles fan i was finally able to revisit the SB loss in 04 after they won this one. I was a senior in h.s. and the city was even more hyped then this year. I think like me a lot of people didnt want to get their hopes crushed again by a Philly sports team. Just in my lifetime im a huge flyers lost in the SC twice, Sixers in the finals, eagles in 04. It was great seeing the Phillies in 08 but ask anyone from Philly they will tell you its different for the eagles.
This was the rocky 1 and 2 of Superbowl narratives
Must've been the greatest day of Brian Dawkins professional life. Eagles win the Superbowl the same year he gets inducted into the Hall of Fame.
Not to mention he got a Super bowl ring as an executive. He deserves it.
@@domdom2036 We all remember how he fired up the 2018 crew! 💪🍻
I’m an eagles fan and I’m gonna watch this a lot while being quarantined
Go eagles !
Even not being quarantined I’ll still watch this haha…Go Eagles!!!
superbowl 52 is by far the greatest game of football ever played. it doesnt matter who YOUR team is or what city you hail from... this was a great game and a real treat for any fan.
The very best Super Bowl I have ever watched 🏆
I agree with you
You got to love the way Kelsey plays at Center he gets out front on those blocking plays and just destroys people
After the birth of my daughter this was the best day of my life! Watching my Birds beat Tom Brady and the Patriots the way they did it with the Philly Special and being on Broad Street the night they won and for the Parade! Priceless! 🦅🦅🦅
At least eagles did not choke like the falcons against the patriots. Nick foles leadership was what led them to a championship
Never will forget that night !! 🦅💚
Let’s do it again! Fly Eagles Fly 🦅
Do Early 2000's games please. Those would be amazing. And I see what you did here with these games... These both have the QBs in different spots now
*heh heh yes that IS clever*
Early 2000s and late 1990s?
*i was referring to the qbs in different spots part, but early 90s and 2000s games still are cool*

Jeffery was insane during the playoffs that year bro was mossing everybody
It can't be 2022 and my ass is watching this game like i don't know how it ends.
Nick Foles will forever be known for outplaying Tom Brady in the Super Bowl

How'd he out play him? Btw Eagles were LUCKY to win this....🤷
@Clutch lol how did he out play him? Explain...
All I can say is 62% on third down conversions for Philly. And Zach Ertz was HUGE in this game.
That's where the absence of Hightower really hurt the Pats.
This game was over when the Eagles came out on Meek Mill Dreams and Nightmares lol
Just rewatched this epic game 5 years later and Geezuz that was one hell of a game!
this is the greatest game of football ever played
